Bowie knives are not machetes they are Bowie knives named afterJames Bowie. Its a fighting knife hence the hilt above the handle and Below the blade. Not a machete if thats what they told you they are wrong.
Cold Steel markets it as part of their machete line very specifically. In the video I call it both a bowie knife and a machete. They call it a bowie style machete on their website.

It's a Bowie machete, not a Bowie knife. I have one. It's awesome!
I have far more expensive Bowie "knives", including the CS Chaos Bowie. This machete knife is still my favorite.
