- Such an incredible day. I feel like even as much time as I spend out on the water, I get maybe one of these wild days a year. With the water temps in the upper 80's, we focused on mainlake points fishing 10-15' of water around stumps and high spots with dropshots and....the secret bait. Also got lucky on a couple obscure pieces of cover that hold an incredible amount of fish that are usually overlooked.

I cannot believe that such a simple crayfish lure gets as much shine as that sleeper craw does, when they eat that thing, it’s gone!!
Definitely a bait you gotta retie after a catch or 2 just to be safe. Those fish engulf it so deep it's nothin but line coming out of their mouth!

I love these type of videos but kind of feel guilty by association as those fish did not look well during weigh in. During the summer, my guess is a lot of them will not make it after being in a live well all day.

Looks like some fish were belly up in your cooler.
They were, but they were alive. They were deeper fish, and we’d taken the fin clips off. All of them were released alive and swam off.

I fished with the dude that won at Douglas in the tnt bass nation tournament as a coangler and he was from Chesapeake bay and my mom lives in Smithfield used to live in Hampton would love to fish with you the next time you come to the Tennessee river can put you on some fun fishing maybe fish a tournament or something

Absolutely not, but it's a necessary tool most people now have.

I’ve been close to this weight for a summer bag in the past. Honestly saw so few fish that mattered eat, I can’t say it was fully reliant on the scope. Pretty standard summer deal, fish in 12-15’ sitting on the bottom on main lake points. Just got lucky.

What's the mortality rate in this tournament? Looks like one of your fish was bellied up.
Extremely extremely low. You cannot weigh dead fish in these events/ cant cull a dead fish. It happens occasionally, but it’s not common. The fish that was bellied up was fine, just caught deep and we’d taken the fin clip off. All of them were released alive.

I get that these tournaments are fun. But this is hard to agree with, I bet at least 4 of the 7 fish limit DIED in this summer heat. So tired of pulling up to lakes on a Sunday and seeing 85 dead bass floating at the ramp. I love this channel man but I wish you could use your views to promote different rules in the sport before populations take more and more of a hit

I’m confused…why would I be looking for a loophole? 🤣 I’ve been super busy. Between traveling, practicing for tourneys and fishing tournaments, it’s hard to find time. Its about a months worth of videos between weekday afternoon derbies, bfls, and Jon boat tournaments. I edit everything myself.

I’m not hating on you personally. Just all tournaments esp in summer. Delayed mortality is what’s not good. Y’all should adopt cwr. Maybe bring it up to the tournament director.
@@foundationrepair7890 I get it, and you're absolutely right on the delayed mortality. I just don't think much of that goes on. These tourneys have been going on for over 20+ years, and to top it off, you've never been able to weigh dead fish. When it comes down to it, I would never want to kill a fish...but the only way to avoid that at any point in the season is to not fish at all.
