Hey Chaps - hope you liked the video! Which phone do YOU think won? 📸🤔
P40 pro Awesome...❤❤
The Tech Chap can u do with P40 pro plus ?
P40 pro awesome
Please make a review on Asus tuf a15 it's a request for Indian fan of yours love you 3000 !
Can you do a camera comparison between s20 plus and s20 ultra please?
The P40 microphone is so much better now. Instantly noticeable
Actually they were both great , I don't think p40 pro was much better , I use mate 10 so you can count on my objectivity .
That's kinda weird because I've always see Samsung's microphones doing a much better job than Huawei's in other comparison videos.
@@OXIR Nothing weird. Different ppl give different results. In some other comparison videos, I have seen Huawei's camera bested Samsung.
@@OXIR they said they have a nev micraphone
@@edwintanaiyang3206 I can say that their new P40 Pro is their first smartphone with a good microphone to compete with Samsung and Apple. No offense. But just if you watch the comparisons with their older smartphones like P30 their microphones were pretty bad. But it's good that they improved it.
It's weird because in the beginning, the P40 mic sounds clearer with no echo but then when you were walking around, it was the S20 that sound clearer with no echo🤔
thank you! most tech influencers only reviewed tge s20 and s20 ultra in depth, awesome video bud!
Thank you for this video cause I was in two minds about which one to get. I'm in love with the p40.
Huawei has so much overexposure dude 🤦🏿♂️🧐
I liked the more balanced look of the s20+ even on the night mode with a person as the subject.
I have the p 30 pro and In few days my galaxy 20+ is coming I hope this was a good invest in money😁
Really liking your videos, just wondering what you think of the HDR10+ setting in advanced video settings on the s20 ultra? Is it something you use or would recommend using?
P40 wins in Night time pictures and videos . Especially Pitch black . Zoom . Slow motion.extra feature ( exclide passerby, remove mirror reflection)
S20+ win daytime pictures . Videos . Ultrawide day and night
Selfie video and pictures
Focusing. Stabilisation.selfie cam slow motion .live focus video
P40 Pro night mode is the best. But slow motion is blurry. Daylight photo and video goes to S20+.
Live focus is an extra feature so you can't count that and exclude p40 pro's extra features .
While the ultrawide on the s20 has a wider field of view its not even on the same page as the p40 pro as it has a huge sensor, higher resolution and can make out alot of detail,
Day time can be subjective but night time p40 pro has the best ultrawide in this regard
@@hamzaharoon1217 you're right, daytime is subjective. I don't like the abuse of HDR and saturated tones.
But both of phones are beats
Video goes to samsung big time...
S20's sound like you recorded this in the bathroom.
It's echo
LOL
🤣🤣
Without the Google play store, I'm not buying this phone. Samsung wins.
Great work tech chap, much appreciated.
Actually P40 PRO is currently running on a pre released software. I think the software update is coming on 7th April and i hope that it will then definitely beat S20 PLUS in all scenarios. So i suggest u should do this test once again.
After watching the comparison (and having a P20 pro myself) and debating between the S20+ compared to P40 Pro, I would say the P40 pro comes out on top, and this is coming from someone who has genuinely considered the S20+ but needed comparisons between the phones. Thanks for the insight, p40 pro wins for me :)
You're the best brother! But i think as a viewer! The s20 plus, display, camera view, shots, videos are just beautiful amd pleasing to my eyes. Auto focus on front facing 4k video is way better. P40 is ml slouch either, specially at night. Ill give it to the p40, but s20 plus is good also. When it comes to clarith of photos, stabilization, and videos, ill give to s20 plus🙂
indeed
Yes, actually no, ehmm maybe, no, bottom line yes.
so helpful! thank you for making this video.
What did you get?
I personally see the advantage of P40 Pro in lowlight but for almost everything else like video, daytime photos,s selfie I prefer the S20.
Same here
@@WinzeeTutorials P40 Pro was better across the board.
@@jzvr5842 only for u
@@user-nm6fe3df7z For everyone but Samsung fangirls like you.
@@jzvr5842 I hear the sound of Huawei's sales rate is going down.
Still not totally happy with the RYYB.... though better now, still seems a bit too yellow. Huawei's low light is fabulous.
@Peto Pedro it's only opinions Peto.
Thanks for your video, and looking forward to the comparison between P40 Pro Plus vs S20 Ultra 😎😎
I also awaiting that comparison of the beasts!
I personally love how the s20 plus works. To each their own and the s20 plus gets my money.
The Scene optimiser is on on the s20
Video in S20+ is way to over sharpened, it really hurts my eyes to even see it.
Huawei P40 Pro all the way, from the video quality the natural color, the details, night mode feature it's an overall phone.
For the people who choose S20+ as a winner is a r-etard
Agreed. P40 pro is more accurate in color rendering. S20 + is more to eye candy. But S20 + excels when it comes to video department. Huawei should work more on software refinement. 😌
Awesome video dude
I love you!!❤
Great video as always :) Although I have the mate 20 pro now and the p40 pro camera definitley seems overall better I don't think I can compromise on the limitation for with Google services I beleive it has? Im swaying towards the iPhone 11 pro max (apple for a change) or Samsung s20 ultra atm I think. Be keen to know your thoughts of anyone else's for that matter?
Wow. P40 Pro is really Amazing. It's speaker is improving.
I preferred the S20+ bc the p40 looks a little washed out in many shots. However the P40 has some really good zoom and low light capability.
Exactly.. when he said its superior.. its all washed out.. s20 is detailed
Wait the updates .
The reality is that the P40 pics are actually more true to life, whereas Samsung tends to oversaturate the images. Depends whether you're after a more natural image or a more processed image.
@@lukey08 Agreed. In term of color rendering, P40 pro is more accurate while S20 + is more to eye candy.
P40 pro is more real life accurate colour one. Samsung phones always oversatured and colours in their phones
Quite some photos u prefered on P40 I actually prefered on S20+
Nice video! I was a Samsung man, but their overshapening and oversaturated colors make video and pictures unnatural.
That's because he left the scene optimiser on...
That's why I prefer iPhone 11 over Samsung S20+, high quality images without making it looking unnatural
The p40pro is very very good! But Id like U to check other options on this great piece of Hardware 🙏
4:58 kind of interesting, while photo in p40 pro lamp doesn't glow and show's inside
Hi I have been subscribed for quite a long time please can you make a video on best headphones in 2020
Well, I will pick P40 Pro, night mode is definitely the winner. And I prefer the portrait shot too. It may have little flaws on video stabilisation, hope Huawei can improve it by updating patches via OTA.
I definitely prefered the S20 in most of the scenarios. 😁
It was better ....s20
I agree
Lol I swear this is the last selfie of me, next 7 min is video of this guy.

Muy buen video, gracias. Saludos!
You know,i couldn't afford them before but i watched these reviews dreaming, but now it's hard to dream and even harder to watch
S20 + camera performance is much more stable. It bested P40 pro esp in video department. 🙂
P40 pro may have the best hardware. But really it is far behind in term of software. See the choopy switch between lenses & zooming. Huawei really need refinement in their software.
Could you please tell me if samsung s20 plus single take mode is the same concept as hiawai p40 pro golden snap best moments mode? Thank you, I can't decide between the two
S20 + HDR range is far better ,in starting of the video, bulb at background is clearly illuminated and visible than p40 pro 🙋
sam but it is unnatural, look at the face, S20 is flat
@@user-ur2nx1hi8w in most part s20 is better
First Gang 🔥🔥🔥
As always you killing it with your sick uploads keep up the amazing work greetings from 🏴💙
S20 is just a great allround machine.
Saw three different reviews and S20 always did better with highlights even in low light shots.
But in this comparison, highlights in low light are better on P40 Pro.
I think both did a decent job... but at certain areas s20 plus outways p40 pro and in other perspective p40 pro has an edge.. in scenario such as in dark mode! In fact your simply amazing and good coverage too! Keep it up buddy!
The Huawei clearly had the more natural and accurate colors every time but looking at the comments it's obvious literally no one cares about that as everyone still prefers S20+. Worse still are people justifying it by saying Samsung has the more natural colors.
i think the both won on different things like night, ultra wide, features, slow mo, selfie, zoom, focusing but in my oppinion they both need some improvement in some things by the everyone knows they are the beast
Finally, I see a fair comparison. Most of CZcamsrs compare p40 pro vs s20 ultra....
You are the best...
If they really do that, they should not review anything related to smartphones!
Orange should always be compared to orange and apple to apple.. which means S20+ vs P40 pro, S20 ultra vs P40 pro+.
@@MAFz7 P40 pro has a higher rating on dxomark than the Samsung 20 ultra .
Unrelated question. But, I'm looking for a monitor for the future ps5/ Xbox series. But what's the best monitor for it? I have a 1080p 200hz monitor. Do I upgrade for a 4k 60hz or do I go for the 1440p 120-160hz.
CZcams has called the resolution to 480p as man hence we are struggling to see any crisp footage as seen in earlier videos.
For me Samsung S20+ in most cases wins. In a lot of samples I have to disagree with your opinion ....
Yes!!! S20 plus it's amazing
Only at pinch black p40 it's better... but anyway i want to know that i took the photo in night.. sooo... S20 it's more real life photos
Cheers mate
Samsung Is Oversaturated... Huawei Has Natural Colors Details Dynamic Range
@@sidmas-zj5eu but is not true, isn't the real colors of your memories from a place or specific moment. Plus, is subjective.
For me is better to edit the pic after
@@Perfumeguy P40 Pro won in every scenario and had much more accurate colours.
@@sidmas-zj5eu P40 Pro had much more accurate colours, if you want boosted saturation change colour profile to vivid instead of natural on the P40 Pro you'll still get better colours than Samsung since there are three settings.
S20 definitely won overall but now that you mentioned that dual recording on the p40 I miss doing that on my s8 from the rear and front facing camera at the same time it was really cool I'm on the s10 now i hope they bring that back
Not really, I prefer a more natural photos over the over sharp photos.
@@kenhuang4697 u can use pro mode to make it more natural by adjusting contrast and saturation on the s20
Personally I prefer the original image that is taken. Turning off scene optimizer also helps with more natural colors.
By the way, s20 got dual recording in a software update
hey man is there anyway that i can record videos on the p40 pro that's mirrored? there is a setting for mirroring but it only works with photos not videos and would there be an update about this?
Great video Tom
s20 plus,i cant have phone with only 1 speaker anymore after i use stereo on iphone x
S20 is amazinggg💯🔥
You can't go wrong with any of these phones! Nice work man 👍👍
Huawei mate 40 will be so interesting !! Huawei can really win with that camera !! The note with its 150 mp camera will also be interesting just not as interesting to me personally
I use p30 right now and I generally like huawei shots. But strangely I like more S20 shots in this video. P40 pro shots are yellowish again compared to the S20 and S20 is winner on video capturing.
Nope S20 had saturated colours P40 had much more accurate colours.
@@jzvr5842 huawei is only better at zoom, night.
Color accuracy, resolution, stabilization, video features. Are much better at s20

I think it comes down to personal preference I think in low light the P40 winds but I think over all I think I would say Samsung just because the snapdragon processor here in the USA trumps the Exynos
Sean Lewis the p40 uses Kirin 990
Kirinis better than exynos
Hope you're keeping good and taking proper precautions against the corona. Love from INDIA
Loveda from Randia
Is the s20 using auto HDR? HDR on the Huawei is a specific mode to select so maybe things would be more fair using HDR especially when things in the background seem to blow out a little
I agree and not many people talk about this feature. It's a game changer for dynamic range -coming from a p30 pro user
Huawei P40 Pro is superior Phone for less money !!!! I love this phone
but you dont google
S20+ not a flagship phone? It’s like saying the iPhone 11 Pro isn’t a flagship phone?!?!?!
It definitely is the flagship. Samsung think of the regular S20 and 20+ as the flagships, not the S20 Ultra. It wants us to buy the S20 Ultra but knows most will buy the regular S20 and S20+. Reviewers need to stop with this nonsense. They're only saying that because they were sent review units of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra as part of Samsung's marketing
Flagship means the best one they offer right? So that would be the Ultra. But as I say I think the S20+ is the best one to buy
The Tech Chap, sorry if I sounded rude with this comment or my previous comments! I wasn’t trying to be at all. You have been one of my favourite CZcamsrs of all time, and I watch all of your videos! Thanks for doing these videos for us! Also, you have helped me pick a phone! Thanks! :)
@@babyyoda9943 That did sound very rude to be honest.
But Tom is 100% right. A flagship is defined as "the best or most important thing owned or produced by a particular organization."
As these are not the highest spec models, these are not the flagships. A flagship meand the very best a company can make and that would be the S20 Ultra, iPhone 11 Max Plus and P40 Pro Plus.
1 2 3 Four Five I apologise for sounding rude, as Tom is probably one of my favourite youtubers and I watch him everyday, even if I have to rewatch some of his videos! I love watching them! He was right as well, they are the best phones the companies have to offer and I was very wrong!!!
Please also test 60 fps in videos, coz it is very important video option. Thanks
I like this video....bravo.....continue
Huawei clearly wins hands down.
I always see the P40 is far from sharper, even it almost always took blurry image
+ P40 video quality is far behind S20, as example the background on the opening video, and then the sky at 3:12, lamp at 4:12
I don't know if your face is actually yellow or not, but I prefer the S20 image at 4:20 over the P40 because the blurry image on the P40
I think when you did the zoom comparison between both phone. You should have done a 2x zoom to see which phone does a better job. So people understand the down side of having a deeper zoom.
Hey thanks for your video, I think the Huawei P40 Pro have the best cam.
Please can do the same with Oppo Find X2 Pro vs the Huawei P40 pro ? Thank you ❤️
No Matter What I Love The Samsung Galaxy S20+
0:58 what is this on the P40pro. Alien invasion?
I was scrolling for a comment like this
Having owned a p30Pro I think the 5x optical lens is more of a hindrance than good.
For most day to day uses 5x is too far so you end up doing a digital zoom which affects quality. 2-3x optical is more useable for portraits without affecting image quality.
Can you tell me if the photo and video are igual on s20 plus as on s20?thanks...portugal
S0 PLUS MASSACROU O P40 PRO´. S20 PLUS THE BEST COLLOR
The galaxy s20 + is amazing, it has it all, it's perfect.
Anything that expensive should be perfect, no exception.
S20 + cheap , camera good
P40 expensive , detail good 👍
Can we connect any hardware (microphone, extra flash light etc.) to p40 or s20 for video taking? Not possible for P30 pro. Neither does S10+. Companies have to work to improve hardware capabilities at least for flagship models.
Classic youtube reviewer
New phone comes out: "this handle better."
Another new phone comes out: "it got better dynamic range."
Even another new phone comes out: "this is the best camera quality i've ever tested."

Not at all. No edits to any of the photos
Probably p40 photo will be better
This is definitely a difficult choice. I think both phones are great phones. Probably it's a matter of taste. But I'm in the exynos zone so I would still go for p40 pro.
P40Pro wins in Photo but S20+ get the video win. btw P40Pro has really improved in video considering P30 series.
I have a Mate 9 and it would be constantly trying to refocus even if I just move slightly, making the footage unusable, which is pretty much fixed on my friend's Mate 20. Can see they are making progress
Only where S20 + wins in video is super stady mode, nothing else...
S20 won't in almost every photo bro.
Only think p40 won was nightmode
@@lovric600 in u dream bro..

I love mobile photography,.. most photos are taken using the auto mode in your video, well, 90% of my shots were taken using 'pro mode' and im satisfied on huawei since it offers higher iso than s20+.
Lovely review
TBH, it might've been better if you settled into "it came down to personal preferences" on certain areas such as the saturation. You're favoring for p40 shows.
In my opinion Samsung better in 3:19
Thanks for the video. I am highly considering p40 pro. I just have a question concerning youtube. When using a google free huawei world, will I still be able to log in to my youtube account? Is there a likely chance youtube will become difficult with browser logins or third party app log ins? I am a small youtube creator, and I need to still be able to access and upload to youtube.
But if this is no problem I am switching to huawei immediately. Hoping for qucik answer as I am about to decide what phone to buy 😊
I'm watching this video using vanced on my p40 pro!
That sharpening on the S20 really puts me off. Samsung have always been too heavy handed when it comes to image processing.
S 20+ ❤
S20+ would be my choice. But we all have to appreciate that low light quality and slow Mo on the P40
good as allways but this time i miss a low light video comparison because the P40pro seems be far ahead of the competition
Actually I prefer most if not all photos and videos taken by Samsung S20 Plus in your videos. They look more realistic and more high quality. Huawei looks "fake" sometimes, even in lowlight, it produces brighter images but it does not mean the photos look better. I still prefer the darker tone of the photos taken by Samsung (to know it is actually taken at night and not during day time). By brightening the photo, Huawei tends to change the colors in the photos totally, which is unacceptable to me.

Samsung 🥰
I think the s20 plus had better pictures...dynamic range is everything in photography
Samsung has a blue and red hue. But Huawei lean to yellow. The colour profile is slightly different.
