Hi, I own both of them. The quality as of the moment goes to Note 10+. TBH my s10+ camera is still better than that of s20 ultra 5g. The fail focus is so severe that it seems like an edited photo. But if you are looking for quality in details, the image that s20 ultra can produce in bright environment is a beast. Also compared to 30x zoom of mate30 pro, the 30x zoom of s20 ultra is so much better.

You can't have 120hz and 511ppi simultaneously on the S20 Ultra, it's either 120hz and 381ppi or 60hz and 511ppi. P40 Plus is more balanced with 90hz and 441ppi. That's midway on hz and just about midway on ppi. I prefer balance personally. Overall display quality is about the same. They're both leading quality.
In terms of Camera I pick P40 Pro as I used P30 pro before and its camera is awesome. From productivity point S20 Ultra is great in-fact I prefer Note versions as my previous note 9 was very handy.

4:36 wrong, S20 only has a 4x optical zoom, and the Exynos version has issues auto-focusing. Also P40's ultrawide is too narrow, and lack of vertical zoom control in camera landscape mode makes it unusable for single-handed shooting. 2020 is such a effed up year.

I'm happy with my Galaxy S20 ultra. I was about to buy a Huawei P30 pro instead, but then I realized that it was so screwed without Google services. Besides there was an update some days ago for the S20 ultra cameras and I think they have solved the problems.
samsung brings exynos only devices to my country so I will forever avoid samsung unless they started bringing in the snapdragon variant...so for the sake of argument, I'd go for p40 pro
We all know exynos is shit and kirin too but between this two, exynos is way superior in benchmarks. No mentioning that kirin becomes more slower with time.
Ill go with the kirin. On benchmark, exynos are always higher but in the real world usage, kirin is better. I owned p30, mate 10 and s10, s9. Kirin always performs like new even after 1 to 2yrs of usage. But samsung with exynos processor, it becomes slower and slower as the time goes by. My 2 yr old S9 performs very shit nowadays. Even on gaming, kirin gets consistent framerate. On exynos, after playing sometime, framerate goes down. Im not going to buy any phone with exynos processor again.
Which processor the Galaxy has is an important factor. There have been several tests done where the Snapdragon version proved to take better quality pictures/video than the Exynos version. You would think the images would be the same because the hardware is the same, but the end result showed a difference.

Depending on the chip you get and as Hauweii hasn’t got google apps as standard I think I would pick Samsung. however I do prefer the Hauweii look and processors better as you said they have a better balance.

I prefer the size of the p40 pro compared to other flagship phones. I was a Huawei p20 lite user and when that phone broke down I went and got me a Huawei y5 2019. The smaller phones Are much more comfortable. The screen bezels at front Are getting smaller and smaller so it doesnt matter of big your phone screen is anymore because its just getting more uncormfortable to hold now.

Faster wireless charging seems to be the only advantage. Reverse wireless charging and powershare are virtually the same thing. No one uses their phone to power another phone. Does come in handy when it is time to charge headphones or smartwatches
120 hz with 1080p > 90 hz with 1080+. Resolution is barely noticeable on smaller device let alone P40's size but screen refresh rate is really noticeable. 90 vs 60 Hz however is pretty useless might as well stay on 60 coz thats just almost same.

Actually Samsung's 100x zoom is usable, with good lighting the results are pretty acceptable.

For me, I still go to the s20 ultra because it has bigger batter and display also a 120 hz display a much updated chipset and it has google support

I love the teardown skins.. An I have always loved Huawei phones/camera since the P20 Pro and I almost bought the P30 Pro but then came the ban.. 🤬🤦🏻♂️but I have gone with OnePlus 5,6 and 7 Pro instead

Faster wireless charging seems to be the only advantage. Reverse wireless charging and powershare are virtually the same thing. No one uses their phone to power another phone. Does come in handy when it is time to charge headphones or smartwatches
But you can still get CZcams (not in browser) on the Huawei just not out the box, right?

120 hz with 1080p > 90 hz with 1080+. Resolution is barely noticeable on smaller device let alone P40's size but screen refresh rate is really noticeable. 90 vs 60 Hz however is pretty useless might as well stay on 60 coz thats just almost same.
