Thanks for the invite Anthony. I flaked out on you a couple times already. Didn't want it to be a pattern. I also wanted to check out the lay of the land in Redondo in case I plan to go there again. Had to get familiar with the area and launch. I re-used mackerels and chicken drum sticks from the previous trip so the attractant had lost most of its potency. If I am to go hooping in the future, I will never re-use old bait from the previous trip. The 6 I caught from DP was all brand new bait loaded. By the way, there were 2 boats with divers that night in DP. All divers limited out. The few boats and kayakers that were out there struggled.
I've been telling you to prepare for season opener for months. It's still not too late. Season just started. Your brother and I will try some new spots this season.
I don’t know why the law is so hard for you to find bro. You are not supposed to be TAILING lobsters and then storing them. You can store them WHOLE, and I believe it’s 7 per member of your family (I think they need a license). Lol.
You are correct and I did finally found it in the code of regulations. There were 2 game wardens I spoke to about this topic. The first game warden told me it was ok to detach and store the tail. She also said she's not an ocean game warden and sent an email over to the ocean game warden who finally gave me a call and confirmed that detaching the tail to store is illegal. I had also replied back to your comment on the first video with the code and the section. Thanks for the heads up.
With any question about fishing rule. I just email or call Fish and Game. Email they usually respond in 2-3 day . Calling them very much easier. They will answer all questions..
