He's a cyclist. He gets to ride on the road when it conveniences him, but he's still on a bike and not in a motor vehicle, so to him he doesn't have to follow the rules of the road. And this is what happens. He can't be at fault, ever. This is why Isaac Butterfield (and I) hate cyclists.

he did not blow by it. The bike malfunctioned and could not stop, it still is his fault for multiple reasons, but ya'll are thinking that is is for the wrong reason. It is more likely his lack of maintenance on his bike and going down a hill at a speed that the bike could not handle. If you notice he yells "I couldn't stop" mixed in with his swearing.

I thought the same thing, after watching it a few times though it appeared that the truck was driving parallel with the semitrailer on the inside lane and turned right towards the semi trying to avoid the car that was hit causing him to roll.

You can't help but feel absolutely horrible for all these people that suddenly become involved in the accident that happened to someone else through no doing of their own.
and they will eventually be punished by the insurance companies who don't know the meaning of no fault
I drive as little as possible. You never know how someone else’s mistake can severely impact your quality of life
Gotta love manuals, you can save yourself in the event of an accident just bc you have near instant access to all gears including reverse.
An example downshifting straight to second gear and slamming on breaks will improve stopping distance or give you enough torque to effective gain grip in the snow or if you risk it glide pass a mass accident.
Launch control is always available, no delays when you step on the gas & since you're always shifting you're more aware of shifting itself.
Tho with an automatic you're stuck in Drive and have to wait for the computer to shift you into your correct so you're less vigilant.
Since you're at higher speeds you have less torque bc the automatic prioritizes fuel efficiency, which is the main reason people loose control on the highway especially in the snow/rain.

Looks like people were either being impatient & making a right hand turn around the cammer, or it may be 2 lanes are able to make a right hand turn there. Either way they didn't yield the right of way to the semi.

Not sure about the American laws, but at that point when crashes happen, or at least most of times, it is already red light for oncoming traffic and the ones turning left finish their turn because they are blocking the traffic in the middle of the interjection. In here where i live you should give time for the left turn driver to clear the interjection, when the light is starting to turn red, in what time it is yellow. I do believe that is the case over there also.

It has value. If the bystanders are aware of the background, they'll be prepared to hold the driver down if he tries to get away or walk into traffic. I witnessed a DUI hitting a tree and saw the driver get out and run off. He was too drunk to hide effectively. He tried hiding behind a telecom junction box, but he was too big to not be seen.
God forbid a loved one was to die because of a dumbass. he called it in and followed him and he was right.
Yeah but someone should actually call 911 again as this is now a new emergency with new information for the police and now requires paramedics. Also the fact that he specifically mentioned calling the state police makes me think he called the non-emergency line, so they might not even be on the way, could just be casually looking for him.

Most people think they are the only ones on the road who is important thus leaving everyone in the "sucks for you" category.
Happens with yellow lights mostly. Some woman ran a yellow/red light once and I almost hit her. Luckily I smashed my brakes and swerved away.
The problem is that when one light turns orange, the other one goes green. Here in normal sanity land, the light goes orange, orange, red. 3 sec pause. THEN other light goes green. And for some reason that little delay on lights turning prevents like 99% of T-boning accidents.
Also, American intersections are too large, terrible markings on road and too many dimwits on the road that obviously just paid to get the license and don't have any actual knowledge about 3D perception, speed etc.

If your brakes arnt working that dosent give you the right to just go full speed downhill and fly into intersections , you can use your feet to slow down , pull over to grass , go zig zag down the street , drive into a bush ,or even jump off it .

In general you're right but the lady in the SUV had no stop sign. The cyclist was an over confident and careless hot-head. He's actually lucky to be alive and screaming like a bitch at her for nothing.
She had no stop sign but I needed the whole 18 minutes of the video to make my generalizations. Where there were stop signs and red lights there were cars blasting through them.
I think he was screaming I couldn't stop maybe his brakes failed. Still riders fault tho for failure to maintain speed down the hill

@Mary Poppins So in the winter the trucks are ambulances, they can ran whatever color whenever they want. Because, you see, they are very heavy and can't stop. And a truck of course is not supposed to be able to stop whenever necessary, if it starts then it goes, no need to stop until it reaches the destination 1.000 miles away. And let's hope it stops then, although we can't be sure because you know, it is heavy.

M O did u hear him screaming. He couldn’t stop. It is still his fault, but he didn’t play the victim card. He flat out couldn’t stop. Probably going to fast down the hill, or a malfunction in the bike.
