I sold cars for 9 months, and that's why they made the car salesman drive it off the lot. I saw A LOT of bad driving, and some of our guys got in accidents with prospective buyers. One girl like 22 years old got on the fucking freeway going about 40mph. I was in the backseat with a semi grill in the rear window, and I was literally screaming at her to accelerate, with her father in the front seat.

It's very disturbing and scary to see a significant crash and then run to the wrecked / damaged vehicle and wonder what you're about to be confronted by. Fortunately, the times I've had to do this, nobody was badly hurt (or dead).
Luckily for them the branches and shrubbery probably cushioned the impact a bit when they were airborne. It's amazing that they both walked away from a crash like that

@@ThePhoenix198 Based on the hood design, her truck is most likely a 2015-2019 Jeep Wrangler. $25,000 to $50,000 or more depending on the model and extras. Easily her rear end sway bar links and control arm would of been bent plus the rear fender, back bumper, and her rim damaged based on the impact. Probably not totaled but expensive. I've been doing appraisals for a large auction company for over a decade. Seen quite a few of these in my days.

Jeeps are easier to fix than a lot of other cars. Bumpers are a breeze to install. Might as well go for some upgrades while it's in the shop too...
You honestly need to watch videos of these where they let you know which was were totalled or not, you'd be reallllly surprised I bet how many of these videos we watch where it looks minor but it's a total. I have a feeling that she is right, depending on where that hit there is VERY good chances of damaged frame/alignments. They don't build cars to take getting slammed into the side of and spun around.
My last car was a rebuild from an accident and it wasn't even that badly damaged.

A dash cam can prove your innocence as well as proving your guilt.
That is a good point. And some people will confuse guilt for innocence - this means there's a direct as well as an indirect way that dashcams are good for accountability.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but about 15 years ago, I was on an interstate and saw a car in the ditch that looked hammered on all sides. Two people were walking aimlessly through the grass and I figured they were okay since they were on their feet. I called 911 to report a car had flipped over. The dispatcher sent me a very loud, curseword-laden earful for not stopping. Sort of shocked me into a different attitude. It turned out it was a couple having an argument, but regardless, I stop now to check.

Looked that way to me, as well. Probably some road rage, but considering we don't see the few minutes before the lane change, it's hard to tell for sure. Certainly appears that he swerves back over, possibly trying to intimidate the cammer.. you can actually see him swerve again by watching his car's shadow after the cammer passes, but again, hard to tell if that's purposeful and he just happened to connect that time, or if he'd already lost control by that point. If it was on purpose, really hope they charged him with attempted (vehicular) manslaughter... there's no reason to act like that when you're behind the wheel of a vehicle, I don't care how pissed off you get at other drivers.

Long story short I was driving down a rd and a kid blew a stop sign and instead of t-boning him I avoided him and ran over a fire hydrant. The cops told me not to avoid the accident and just hit brakes. But your instincts kick in and my insurance rate went up 😾
Some of these collisions showed people just driving right on past and no one was stopping or getting out to help in any way. Must’ve been in a hurry to get somewhere...life isn’t too important. Crazy stuff.

It's not always safe. Some people have their whole families with them. Some people may be heading to a business trip. Some aren't able to provide proper help. Technically it's not required for anyone to stop and help, especially since some people will sue you for it.

Evidence. A lot of police will do a he said/she said and not ticket anyone unless it's right there in front of their eyes. Then they will tell you to move. Police are typically there within minutes. Take a chill pill.

These Dash camera have taught me a lot saved my life as well a few times
from other bad drivers.. Saved me from a DUI suspect.. :) he ran a stop sign i'm going 50mph (posted limit was 55MPH) i was able to get out of the way in time just barely though.. nearly spun out
the Tbone would have flipped my suv for sure
I was prepared to crash as well just is case there was no room to my left
