Your pelvic instability, and increased speed of knee extension towards the bottom of the pedal stroke is strongly indicative that your saddle is too high.

this is a very informative video for beginner cyclists like me. I’ve watched your comparison videos from different giant road bikes and considering a defy advanced 2, once bikes are back in stock bc of bike shortages. and w a hefty $2500 price tag this is quite the investment, and seeing your treatment of a routine warranty claim, makes me reconsider as i feel i am not the most knowledgeable on bike maintenance and repairs, being a beginner. I’m not a fan of poor treatment of customers who vouch highly about their brand. I would jump to a different mfg if had that same experience. appreciate you posting your experience. pls keep posting !

I bought a 2020 TCR SL2 in January of this year. Within a month, a spoke broke. The guy at the shop I bought it from said that it wasn't unusual for a Giant to have that problem. Luckily, everything was fixed up on their dime.

Sorry to hear you had problems with the warranty. My experience with Giant Germany is entirely contrary. I had a slight imbalance in the freehub after the first 500 km. Nothing dramatic. After a call to my dealer, the wheel was replaced the same day. And the dealer has even apologized for my inconvenience.

In 2007, I purchased a Jamis Explorer 2. Great bike. A hybrid/commuter style bike, but I would ride it easily for 20 miles every day after work. In 2008, I kept having a problem with the rear tire wobbling. My local bike shop (owner) couldn't figure out the problem. He then looked closely, and discovered that the frame of the bike was cracked. Jamis supplied a new frame and the bike shop did all of the work. They don't replace the fork since it wasn't broken, so I now have a 2008 frame with the original 2007 fork. I rode the bike today, still a comfortable bike to ride. I wish they had better road bike options, I would buy a Jamis road bike. I have a TREK FX2, but never really liked that bike and dislike the local TREK dealer. I am now looking at GIANT since the TCR Advanced 2 Pro Compact has rim brakes. Not crazy about the tubeless tire setup, but I guess will have those switched out to inner tubes. When it comes to customer service, it can make or break a company. The one thing I have learned over the years is that the best way to solve your customer service issue, if it can't be resolved at the local shop or store, is to head right to the top - to the owner or CEO of the company. I email all of the CEOs at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. whenever I have a customer service issue or complaint. It gets you the best service because then the company's Executive Relations Customer Service office will handle your problem and that department puts pressure on the local store or dealer to handle your problem. Also, with independent shops, just leave a negative review on Google about the business, and that will often result in a phone call from the owner of the company looking to resolve the problem. The BBB can sometimes help. Another thing to keep in mind is that you also have protections when you purchase an item using your credit card and can't resolve an issue with the merchant. I am in the States. The rules may vary in Canada. You could also picket in front of the store and have your local TV station or newspaper do a report. No one wants bad publicity. Now, get cracking, and email GIANT a copy of your video. And, as my Dad always says, "when it comes to dealing with merchants, you hate to be a PITA, but sometimes you have to be a PITA." Good luck!

My experience with Giant warranty in Australia is similar to yours. I have a Giant TCR advanced pro 2& Revolt Advanced pro 0, both under warranty & expensive bikes. They gave me run around for wobbling tire on TCR(admitted warranty issue) & shifter malfunction on Revolt saying it is shimano issue, need to raise with it them. I ended up buying new tire & paying LBS to fix the shifter(simple fix) to avoid keeping the bike off the road for extended periods.
Won’t buy Giant again due to poor customer service. Shops are only interested in selling bikes not looking after customer when there are legitimate issues.

I am currently dealing with my THIRD warranty issue with my Revolt that I purchased this past April 30th from the same Giant store you're referring to (we had a conversation about them over Dm's). And I must say that my customer experience/communication has been just as bad as you describe if not worse. You would think that after 2 warranty issues the third one wouldn't happen but also the communication would improve... Wrong assumptions.

Due to the "political shutdowns" and the rush to get bikes, there is scarcity of bikes and bike parts and bike shops are swamped with service. You would likely experience the same delay with all manufacturers and bike shops. Just being real.
