    Have this bike. Three things that really stood out for me were the compliance, the stiffness and the way it steers. It’s like on rails and easy to flick around. Changed the wheels to Zipp 302 which dropped the weight down to 7.5kg with pedals. Great bike.

    I chose the Contend SL1 disc for a bit less. Endurance geometry. Aluminum frame. No regrets. Their tubeless setup is great but I'll try other rubber as traction is sometimes an issue.

      Have to second that re: paint schemes. Almost all of the Giant bikes are hideous, very loud and a possible deal breaker. Muted/neutral colors are best. The TCR Advanced 1 is actually not too bad though.

    6:20 There are differences b/w the different levels in the range. The frames are lighter as you go up the range. The top of the range has an ISP. The lowest level frame comes with an alloy steerer, while the other levels have carbon steerers.

      @Paddyhudson Před 5 lety

      Andrew Lord Same issue I had this year, I found the online ordering through giant, direct shipped to their store, made things all too easy to pull the trigger on the TCR. There are a few really good options at this price point and you won’t go too wrong with any of them. The question you really have to ask is ‘does this bike light my fire’, that is and will always be the most important factor in choosing your next purchase.

      I bought the TCR advanced that predated this one nearly ten years ago. Still a fantastic bike that rides brilliantly even by today's standards. If the new one is anything like the old one it is a stunning prospect. Just upgrade the wheels. If you like how it looks; I think it's an obvious choice.

    I don't like how Giant has narrowed down the tubing on those carbon bikes....to me it's not a comfort thing as much as it is a cost cutting measure. I would think the thinner the seat stays and top tube is would make it weaker and more harsh. Also if you were to go down on it maybe damage or cracks right off.
