I almost bought a 2021 TCR Advanced 2 Pro Compact back in 2020 lol.
That's how good this bike actually is and I work on bikes on a daily basis, so it's important to me that a bike is as less of a mechanical headache as it can be (doesn't always have to be a piece of cake).

I handle built my giant tcr with new old stock 2011 carbon frame with hylix taper carbon fork with shimano 105 11speed. Vision team comp 35 wheels.
I own 2 tcr sl disc I love the frame especially the etap but I feel I'm working my way towards an sworks SL7 with either dura ace or red 12 speed eventually.

Beautiful bike! I just built a used 2016 TCR frame in M/L size with full Ultegra R8000 rim brake group set. With Wahoo mount, twin cages, and pedals, mine weighs 7.6kg with Zipp 404 tubular wheels with 11/32 cassette.
If you switch to SRAM Red 22 mechanical group set you save 400-500 grams straight away. With 24mm deep tubular climbing wheelset you can knock off another 400-500 grams off the weight of those Cosmics…

You’ll quickly realize that focusing on bike weight is rather useless. Tire rolling resistance and optimized bike fit/position make all the difference in speed.

I was right! Everyone would’ve owned a Giant bike sometime in their cycling lifetime.
u can lose 200 grams by getting light weight brake calipers alone. the bars and stem wont save that much weight for what youll pay. if you want the lightest bike go with sram red. but u can still shave a pound off if u go dura ace
