    So lucky that you have bike park in your country!! Nice videos bro..I see you are very happy with the shred..the only fear that I have is the uphill with that bike..but I see your other video and you are satisfied with the uphill right??sorry for my low level English🙃 Greeting from Greece bro!

      Thank you. I am happy with the way this bike climbs and that is based on the type of riding I tend to do. Could it climb better! Yes but that may be at the expense of how well it descends and I would not want that. I feel fortunate to have access to great riding trails and parks. Your comment reminds me of that. PS - never a need to apologize for not being fluent in a second (or third or fourth?) language. If you had not mentioned it, I would not have noticed at all. 😎

    thx again for an honest weekend warrior video on one of the hottest bikes out there. I am trying to figure out what to buy, so your videos are dang helpful. one question I couldn't find an answer to, how much different is it to a downhill bike in the descents. did you ever ride a real downhill bike to compare? with the 38 I don't think there will be to much of a gap to the dh bike. I search for maximum bikepark fun, playride it.

    • @coachrz7919
      @coachrz7919  Před 4 lety

      You are most welcome. I am really happy to hear the vids are helpful. Ok, full disclosure on the comparison to a DH bike: The last DH specific bike I have ridden was my Cortina DH-Extreme 8 race bike and that was at Big Bear circa 2000. Look that bike up on CZcams - it was great for its time. That said, the Capra Shred feels just as capable at the Park (with Jumps and high speed strait always) and my local trails (which include tons of rock gardens). Without comparing the actual data, I’d say the head angle and wheelbase are similar between the two bikes. Suspension travel is not too much different either. Again, that was 20 years ago so I can assume that the current DH bikes are worlds ahead of what I was riding back in the day. So, here is my take: if you’re looking for a bike that has the stability for high-speed and jumps at a bike park, the Capra Shred is fantastic for that. The benefit I see in having this bike versus a DH bike is that I can pedal up my favorite trails as well. I also wanted the best of both worlds and that is why I selected this bike. From my point of view, this bike is the perfect blend of DH capabilities, Climbing capabilities, and overall fun riding. I hope this helps.

    Do You think you can climb 2400 feets (740 meters) with this bike or I'll better take something else? I've seen all of your nice videos and so I'm getting more interested in this bike. Greetings from Italy

    • @coachrz7919
      @coachrz7919  Před 4 lety

      Hello. The bike can climb that elevation. Whether it climbs the way you want it to is a matter of preference. Will it climb like an XC bike or an enduro bike with less travel? No. But if you plan on descending that 740 meters this thing will eat all of it up and do so much bette than any bike that can climb better. My favorite local trail is a 1600 ft. climb and an equal descent. In my opinion, this bike is perfect for that. I use the firm suspension setting while climbing and the soft setting while descending. So far, it is perfect for me.

    • @coachrz7919

      The spring worked just fine for me. I rode the shock in the open setting on the first trail which was very mellow. Then I switched the setting to firm and I liked it a bit better. All down to preference though. For me, I was happy with it.
