"I do know I do it wrong, but I have never had a gate fall off." PURE 'MERICA, BABY!!!
If there is one thing i truly admire about these vlogs is the Father son Camaraderie . Handing down the years of experience to the younger generation
Hi Cole and Dad Brian and Jeff it was good to see Jeff . I think you do a awesome job welding. I just love watching what all you all do.God bless you all.
Cole, I usually never watch videos that are longer than 5-8 minutes, except yours, because they are filled with amazement, interest and fun! I could watch you, Brian and Jeff all day long!
Wow, thanks!
Just remember stick welding is an art and everybody draws different. You are doing a great job proud of you and your work on your channel. Love watching you guys. Love yaaaaaaaa mean it.
Is that “love ya, mean it” a John Boy and Billy reference or did they borrow it from someone?
@@wayner806 I have said it all my life. But Jesus Christ loves you more than I do. And I do lessen to John Boy and Billy. Love yaaaaaaa mean it.
@@tandyderreberry Cool. Thanks! Tune in next time when we hear, “hey big man let me hold the dollar”!
Your welds look great from my house! Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration and excellent role model to the youth of America!
I had a professional welder tell me one time there are welder and there are people that own welders and there is a difference. Welding is an art you learn with time. I wouldn't listen to critics
Here’s a point people forget this dude is using what he welds. If it breaks he will re-weld it. It works! That’s the most important part.
As Red Green used to say. “If the women can’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.” That’s a fine looking gate set up. You need to invent a drone mower…..no more stucks.😂
Cole my 80 dollar lunch box welder I found because of 10th Generation Dairyman. Works for little stuff around the house. That Lincoln is worth every penny with your fence creation and barb wire roller engineering. You welded. It helded. 😊 Brian you aren't regressing....you just figured out how to get Cole to do it for you. Tom Sawyer would be proud. Great video! Thanks.
Those "angry" birds love mosquitos enough to eat their weight every day/night. This is my favorite channel. No one else close. I even like the "wrong way" you weld! Keep it up!
Cole you weld RIGHT! ) Thanks for letting us tag along!!
Am married to a non maintenance farmer, after 20 years gave up and try do as much as possible myself, welding is one skill I wish I had, have learnt to build concrete block walls, pour concrete, chainsaw, the learning is still happening. Love the mower wish I had one like that.
You are never too old- i have learned to lay landscaping block walls, lay tile(both walls and floors) and fencing installation and maintenance. One skill i want to learn is welding. (I am a woodworker by hobby). We have a welder now. Time to learn to use it.
"The right way!" I'm 74, retired from the Army and from defense contracting. Each and every boss told me that "the right way" was a starting point and was usually not enough to get the job done. I got hired to get the job, whatever it was, DONE. Go for it; just keep doing it your own way.
Cole I'm 76 and the only way to do it the wrong way is if it doesn't work for you so as long as it works for you your doing it right and for the one's who tell you that you're doing it wrong I don't see them showing up to do the work for you or posting a video showing how they can do it the correct way because someone will complain that they are doing it the wrong way so do it your way and the he@@ with them
I learned how to Mig weld in the mid-eighties during Autobody for two years, then how to Tig weld in the 90's after I got out of the Corps. Never learned how to stick weld though, seems like a muscle memory thing on distance as the rod wears away and having the right amp setting. Tig welding was almost like an art and wouldn't fit in on most farm settings unless you were welding SS or aluminum. The master welder that taught me, in a few small times for what I was doing to free up mechanics for what little I needed done, was so knowledgeable it was crazy! I told him to only teach me what I needed to know for what I was doing. If you are doing welds with no areas for water to get in for a freeze blowout from water, I'd say more power to you. Your welding saves a lot of money that can be spent elsewhere! That high weed skid steer mowing is strangely satisfying. lol

I learned to weld, well started anyway, in metal shop in 7th grade in 78. They started with the basics, soldering, brazing and stick. In high school metal shop you moved to advanced stick and mig and tig. One of my classmates was welding under a tractor he brought in from the fair grounds to fix the transmission housing. He didnt have room for a full face shield so he had goggles with a number 12 lens on. He had a bad habit of welding with his mouth open and his tongue in his teeth. One day he was under there and we heard him shout, came flying out on his creeper and ran for the drinking fountain. He had a drop of spatter land on his tongue and burn about a quarter inch into it. Needless to say it took a trip to the ER to fix it. He came back the next day and was critiqued by our instructor on what he did wrong.
I have taught myself how to weld flux core (I am not really good) and after that used stick welding and after a few rods you start to get the hang of it. Its not all that difficult to move your hand as the rod wears. Im still not a good welder with anything, probably due to lack of experience and having not a real teacher.

The heat wave is comin' for ya.---Remind us this winter of how nicely that gate swings when there's feet of snow on the ground!---Brian, it looks like you've lost some weight!
Thanks for the gift :)
Your assistant looks like he shows some potential. He's a keeper 😂
I thought maybe he was gonna fire "my assistant .." when he showed up late ..
Nice work. Sharp looking setup. “I have the words, he has the work!” 😂
It’s good seeing Jeff again hope all is well with him stay safe my friends
Four-wheel-drive is so awesome. Remember as a kid we did not have it 50 years ago. Thankful for now. Very much so. As always I appreciate the videos hopefully I’m not preaching too much about stuff God bless
Good yo see Brian and Jeff solving problems of the day while you were welding 68th birthday today and here I am watching my favorite sonne farms good old farm boys getting it done
Happy number 68
@@paulprigge1209 thank you
Happy birthday!
@@tamisonne2519 thank you Tami
I hear what you're saying Bryan, the same for me several years back with my sons. I was the one in charge and then age catches up with you and the apprentice becomes the journeyman and the once a captain becomes the lackey,😁all that said, don't worry, it gets worse the older you get. All kidding aside, you guys did a super job on the gate and the fence, nice job on the cutting and the hay. Thanks for sharing, I hope your weekend goes great!
7:26- typical construction job, one person working with the rest chatting away😂😂😂
When i used to work for VDOT, when we were doing a patch job and waiting for asphalt, i would ask to sit in the truck until the load got there, so i wouldnt be seen standing around with a shovel!
Cole I’m glad you finally got a an assistant. Take care of him and treat him good. Keep him around😂
Just like we see as we drive by government road repair work... Brain and Jeff standing around, shooting the breeze, while Cole is slaving away welding.
Yes , I've done the same thing ,, pretend I don't know how to do it ,, or do it poorly so someone else takes over and I can just watch .... age and experience 😊
lol my secret is out!
Thank you!
Brian you are correct that kids always thinking that they are kings until they screw up then dad is King
Cole, if the welds hold, that’s all that matters 👍
Cole is getting back at Pops by the sparks flying onto his hands for all the times he was grounded as a wee lad. @03:50 😂
Love it! Uncle Jeff and Brian are back there ‘farming’ while Cole works! Perfect
You weld the same way I have for 38 years. Never had one break yet either. So go for it
Thanks for another great video Cole.
It was interesting and enjoyable to watch.
Busy time doing projects since can’t get in the fields for any work.
You do A great job on building and welding these gates Cole. Very nice work.
You and dad do a great job of installing the gates and setting up the bunk areas the way you all want. Looks nice when you are done. Nice work.
Sorry the skid steer got stuck in the muddy ground. Looks nice with those weeds knocked down. Good job Cole.
Good to see Sonny running around. Sure is growing. Not a puppy anymore.
See you and dad were moving round bales around some. Nice bale trailer you have now pulling with the pickup.
About it I guess. You both take care. Thanks for everything.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I know is a self taught drummer, who can play by ear meaning he hears a song once ( barely ) and plays it perfectly. He took a few lessons but stopped because they said he was doing it wrong lol. Your welding skills are fine and like everything will improve with time . Great job guys! How come we only rarely get to see tiffany & mom. They are the force behind you! Jeff too.
I think you do a great job welding. It always stays stable and strong.
Your extras on the job sight are amazing. Make you look like you know exactly what you’re doing 😂😂😂
Cole if it holds and isnt falling apart constantly you are doing it right in my eyes. screw the armchair welders that try to tell you your doing it wrong! if it works it works and so long as it isnt a constant issue who cares right? Keep doing what your doin bud you and your dad are what i look forward to every week!
Is that Uncle Jeff's new Dooley
When did the new dually show up
That’s funny. You will always be the assistant Cole. Your Dad will always be the Captain of the ship. He just makes you feel like the Captain so you do more of the work. 😂😂😂
Cole I do have to say you do a lot better job wielding than I can do and that is a fact.
Brian, you're still the guy, always will be, until Cole farms by himself with young kids without ac and autosteer gps etc. You all(farmers) are amazing
Always good to see Jeffrey
Cole, in life there are many ways to do just about everything. We learn what works best for us and usually change only if it is not working, so keep welding the way that works best for you. We always are amazed at how you and your dad just keep working every day, no matter the circumstances. Tami surely has a green thumb as her flowers are as beautiful as she is. Be safe and God less.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO Cole and Brian ❤😊
Thanks so much
As I was watching you move bales I thought you needed to get after those weeds. Good job! Have a great weekend and stay safe
Good to see uncle Jeff out and about looking fit and trim
Pretty Assistant.
Ill let him know you said so :)
Cole I think you weld 100% perfectly adequate! Keep it up. I like your yearly gate building! Nice job. 👍👍Brian I am retired and I am now happy to tell my two boys “you do that better than me”
Did someone get a new Truck?
I always enjoy your videos.
Thank you
Happy Birthday Bryant enjoy your day. 🚜🚜🚜🇺🇸🎉
Hey Cole, you know that weld you did that one time? It was perfect. Just do that same one every time and you’ll never have a problem. Okay? You’re welcome!
Cole, you almost got lost in those tall weeds! Love your videos!
Why is watching mowing so satisfying. " I got regrets lol
Those swallows on the house, great mosquito, bug eaters
Cole, early in my marriage my wife tried to train me how to do things. Things like folding bath towels like a fancy hotel. I just could not get the hang of it 😂 so she did them from then on. Same thing with hand washing dishes. I was terrible at it 😂 ya know? Your dad is smarter than you think!😎
Love the corn growing inside the fence😁
Cole, you are so very FUNNY. awesome video guys. Thank you.. Love seeing your uncle Jeff. Nice to see Mr. B also
Great to see Jeff. All the Sonne boys are great to watch ❤️
That’s right boy, it doesn’t have look pretty but if it does the job that matters the most. Your an excellent welder.
awsome video cole got stuck again good thing brian is there to the rescue lol thumbs up and shared
Favorite quotes from todays episode:
“My assistant just pulled up.”
“MIGHT make some ruts”
“Gotta a little mineral on your lip there.” (with the cameo😂)
Thanks for the video!
I enjoyed watching the clip of the cows working the drinking trough so much that I felt the need to leave a comment. Very entertaining thankyou.
Brian, you're holding metal stock 2" from where Cole is welding WITH BARE HANDS! I am in awe of your pain tolerance...
lol
Did I just see a red tractor? I’m impressed.
Jeff keeps a nice looking farm. Mowed and not much over growth. Looks good .
Yes he does
Hey Cole, to heck with those naysayers that think you’re doing it wrong great job! Holy cats are those weeds tall that machine you have went through those like crazy. I could certainly use that on my property for sure. Maybe you want to take a trip out east. Lol thanks for the video. Prayers for you and the family peace to you.
Did y'all get a new truck? Great video.
No matter what you do there will always be someone who has done it bigger better taller, keep doing what you do.
HAHAHA Brian, they all seem to think they know more than the old man, mine does too. Until they need you...
I think it’s a great idea for the cable system
Looks like a nest of barn swallow's on the house great for eating bugs we have them here in northern Illinois
I love your video, your comment on welding made me laugh. Now I would like to see you welded right and then tell us how many gates fall off. You and your dad get along well I love the song of the day.
Wow, great assistance Cole.
Probably did cost you much, rookies need to learn.
Like grinding.😅
Hope Supervisor Jeff was happy with your work, I saw him chatting with the hired help.😮
Thoughts and Prayer you get just what you need for rain and no more.
Just love how them kettles couldn't decide which of them would open the magic (17:40-17:56)water door just to be shoved out of the way for the thirsty "kings" of the corral.
I always have to laugh when I read the comments where people are telling you how to do things on YOUR farm/ranch.
By now you should know they know far better than you do while they're sitting on their @$$ watching you from their couch. 😏😜
Thanks for my morning breakfast entertainment.
Now if you'll excuse me I have to get to my chores.
Don't forget to put all the windows up in all the vehicles if it's going to rain. 😉
your lovely assistant Brain hasn't done a "Song of the Day" ....., try some hippie 7P cuts the rust and hard as 7018,.....do it so he has to take over, all part of the plan..... now we know why a slide up front door on a skid steer is soooo valuable
Awesome Saturday if Sonny Farms posts a video!
Love those critters figuring out how to get a drink 😅
The proof is in the results. Your gates stay up. Great to see both you and Brian working together.
Giving the weeds a haircut was very cool!
Did you’ll get a new truck?
Everyone is going to have an opinion about how you do something. Just take it as advice and just keep doing you. If you haven’t had a gate fall off yet then you must be doing something right.
Great looking gates, nice looking mower. Be safe.
Good seeing uncle jeff need more of him
Someone is ALWAYS gonna have their opinions. Opinions are like aholes....everybody has one. If it works for you and makes improvements to your farm then you're doing a good job. Gotta love just hanging out watching cattle big or small. They do some funny things. Good to see Jeff again. Hope the family is well.
Enjoy all your videos
I am learning that the bob cat is a handy machine! You use it for so many different things!
That older guy has a good sense of humor
Hey Brian, this guy just called you old ! 😮
Great content as always guys. Thank you very much.
great stuff
A great video. Awesome work as usual. And very interesting. Keep it up
Thanks Cole
Thank you Sonne farms!!
Don't know if you are interested but I clicked on a video yesterday and it had 4 short clips - the first one is "Pet Kangaroo fatally attacks his owner" - the 3rd one is a cow attacking a woman and it has clips of Bryan on the 4 wheeler. Final Affiction is the channel name.
New truck I see
Looks like someone got a new truck? Cole or Brian??
Cole got him a new Dooley pickup
Thanks!
Thank you!
That’s a good looking dually pickup
