Do you ever give your mom some of that "home made" fertilizer & put it in her garden beds? It would be better than any fertilizer she would buy- even from Storla Station.
She knew what she was getting into when she married a farmer and shes financially savy enough to know the impact of even one lost calf. Wish her well send her along the way. Make sure to clean the house do all the laundry and make it easy on her when she gets back.

I had a cow thar was paralyzed after birth but she was feeding th calf laying down
Your cow loves her calf and wants to make sure it gets the best milk it can get. Hope your cow just got a pinched nerve while calving and with time, she is able to stand & continue to produce calves. Is good she is not a mad cow, who hates her calf.

Tiffany’s parents should come to S.Dakota and enjoy the blizzard with the Sonne family! And calving too! I mean I couldn’t pass up on that!
Tiffany married a farmer so she should know calves come first. The hubs and I have been married 58 years and we both know somethings come first ands that’s how it is. Today’s his birthday. Hes finally 80 but still younger than me .
I watch some cow videos and they love that brush.
I have 7 of these on my dairy farm here in Ireland. And the cows go bonkers for the brushes!! Originally a European product that started in the UK. I had to keep getting more because they would literally fight to use it.
Another thing I like about these brushes is that they are in sections. This means that if one section of the brushes wears down to the shaft, then you only have to order 1 ring and not the entire product. I would set it into some concrete with steel. They have other mounting options for a barn door frame or a fence. Of my 7 cow scratchers, none are in the ground.

AMEN! Dirty windows just causes me angst. Its not really OCD, but the closest thing to it. Now if we can get the skid loader front window done...now we're talking! lol The tractors are not too bad because of all the Cerakote work done recently.
COLE, PLEASE get that hip checked out. It may save a lot of grief in the future. Just watched another young farmer who had football injuries when younger and thought it would heal okay. He didn't get tests down and now he is facing major operations and he already had a minor one. Take care of yourself young man. Absolutely correct!! My motorcycle riding wild man of a husband had one complete hip. He then, Mr Hardheaded; decided to climb a ladder because he was trimming our giant Oak in the back yard. A branch took out our cable. He was going to fix it himself. Coming down the ladder he missed a step and broke the other femur and many ribs. He’s hyper and it almost killed him to be down for several weeks. Don’t put it off if that’s why you’re limping. Please get it evaluated and go by what the doctor tells you!!!
I know you guys need all the moisture you can get but I hope the weathers not too extreme! When I asked my mum what the weather was going to be like she always said pack an umbrella and some suncream and you’ll be covered for all weathers!! But then I live in England where it rains in a heatwave 🤣🤣
Expecting 20+ inches of wet heavy snow the couple of days in southern Maine. Already lost power 5am Thursday morning.

We're calving right now as well, we had a cow have twins today, 2 heifers, this cow had twins last spring too, that makes 5 calves so far, and about 139 to go, so far it's been smooth sailing, no pulled calves, just 5 healthy babies, I hope the rest of your calving goes well, no more lost calves, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends

Been in that position about do I go or do I stay home and be with our livelihood. Farmers and Ranchers have to make those sacrifices several times.

FYI - a U-Tuber - Farmer Tyler Ranch - made a cow scratcher out of a metal pole sunk into the ground and a used street cleaner brush set down over the metal pole - his cattle love it. The one you have now looks like it should make the cattle happy.

Well? You guys are all cleaned up and ready for the Bull Day! Sure hoping it all goes well for you guys. We had our first rain and thunder of the year way up here in the North country yesterday... which is totally bizarre since we dont normally see rain and thunder hit until late May-early June! Such bizarre weather! Sorry youve got snow rolling in on you during calving but glad you have the added moisture hitting. We are grateful for every drop at this point. You guys stay safe and warm during the storm. Our snow is to hit starting tomorrow so who knows.... might get another sprinkle even though they promise us a foot!

LMRO, squeegee on the windows. Cole reminds of a guy I knew who loved to run his fingernails on a chalkboard just to get a rise out of people. Kidding aside, said this before but the Sonne's are incredible stewards of God's gifts. It is a joy to witness them take care of their critters and land.

Have you ever noticed how the cows stand around watching feed lot cleaning? It's like they want to help but can't figure out what to do first :) You need a squeakier squeegee that's how you know the windows are really clean :) Thank you much for the video!

😮To answer that question Cole, that's when you sit down with your bride and discuss the pros and cons. I'm sure she understands your business but ultimately Mother Nature could make the decision for the both of you. Sometimes there's that give and take that makes a marriage great. Shoot sir, that window squeegee gave me those prickly goosebumps with the "shivers".

Calving season is not time to be leaving the most vulnerable that you’re in charge of, to go visiting relatives. Besides, after 52 years I can tell you that in laws aren’t excited about visiting with their daughter's husband. I was self employed most of my life, and we had a standing agreement…when I was busy working, I wasn’t leaving my customers to go visiting. JMHO, YMMV.

You know, you could buy a old bristle from the road sweeper that sweeps the roads or you can by noon and make your own steel pole. You can put them on angles or straight up and down and they work great

The last time I was up in y’all’s part of the world In April I got snowed in for a week before they opened up the road so I could get my but back to Alabama but when they did I stayed be low I 40 and didn’t take any thing north of creely
