What do you think? Is there a better BNF whoop?
Mobula6 bit.ly/MOBULA6
X4 Charger bit.ly/2RNav9O
My original us65 board needs to die already so I can get this. I never realized how team happymodel I was till this came out and they did it again.
How would you compare this to the BetaFPV Meteor 65? I'm leaning towards the Mobula6 and converting to BT2.0 connectors with 350mah batteries. Thanks for all your reviews!
@JankyFPV They iterate so fast and seem to have new product constantly.
@FredGlover This is lighter, higher performing and has a better camera. Downside is this board is very new and I always worry about long term use. I have about 100 flights and it has been very solid. But that is only one. I have requested 4 more boards to get a larger sample.
there's a better battery connector now, that's for sure! what's rich is this TRUE all in one board. ridiculous! #gramShavers
no words for the speed and control man > awesome
Thank you
I bought a few of these, thinking I would need spares, a little over a year ago. I've been flying the same one the entire time with minimal frame damage and I've changed one prop. I fly it inside and outside. I've purposely taken it out in the wind and it still flies like a champ. I have a whole bunch of tiny whoops but the Mobula 6 is the one I grab just to go out and play. It's the best.
First 30 seconds: Holy shit dude, leave some rip for us!
You crack me up Nick. Sure...like you, I enjoy the pod-style flying too where everything is whizzing past at light speed. The difference though is that I can keep that up for about 2.5 seconds before I've dramatically crashed into something frightfully hard, well you can keep up that kind of flying indefinitely (or dang close!) LOL
You're a madman! Great flying. Digging the blue backlight!
Relatively new to the channel, first time seeing Nick fly through his house. Holy. Shit. Wow. LMAO
I think I could practice flying my tiny whoop for a thousand years and I'd never fly that well. My jaw is still on the floor.
Ah it just takes time, I fly indoor almost every day...part of my pre bed routine.
@@NickBurnsFPV :) You're too modest! I showed my 9 year old the clip and she had a similar reaction to me. lol
@@DrMacca I am glad you both enjoyed it.
@@DrMacca Go simu !
Liftoff (or Velocidrone) is your friend !
"Turn off your Wifi"! 🤦â€â™‚ï¸ I wish I'd thought of that ages ago lol. Thx Nick
Look up the FPV Frequency Chart, and find the channel farthest the wifi. Will help a lot without turning it off entirely.
@hilo4321 this is also true. I don't often suggest it as I can't verify what commenters might be doing, so if its off we both should be sure. It isn't always wifi but its something that can be at play.
@@NickBurnsFPV good point, I probably shouldn't say it like it's a fact, haha. Helped me a lot though!
@@hilo4321 your can also force the channel that your router runs. Might cause compatibility issues with devices on your network. If the wifi is using just one channel and you live in a city type area (with other wifi) atleast you know how to avoid your wifi
I am 00:21 seconds in and had to post: YEAH!!!! Finally Nick could put his hands on the Mobula6 and it looks awesome! Ok, back to watching the video...
Great video as usual happy holidays ‼ï¸
I keep watching this video again just to watch your flying! So good man ðŸ‘
Same. Watched it 3x.
Just got mine yesterday wow it's the best 1s whoop I've flown to date. Loving it. I upgraded to BF 4.1.1 legacy with the JESC 48khz FW and it's so so smooth on default settings. I have a 6 port parallel charger and can say the last couple of days it's been getting a hell of a workout.
How's the flight time?
Im getting 3:00+ on stock batteries. Not really good enough to fly an entire pack without crashing into something though lol
Hi Nick Great video and review of the Happymodel Mobula 6, WOW that looked great, I am always amazed at how you fly through your house. When we put my parents house up for sale I would go down and fly around but the house was empty, and I would have broken everything in your house. But Im definitely getting one. Thanks again for the information.
I put the Happymodel 0802 19,000 kv motors with the same Gemfan 3 blades on my Uruav UR65. I am very happy with the combo. 4 minute flights! Great job Nick!
But when you fly for that long, you have to fly to 3.2 V, but that is damaging the batteries pretty hard or not? I thought you should only fly to 3.5 V so they dont get damaged.
I ordered one yesterday, looking forward to ripping this one in the shop. Thanks for the review Nick!
Thanks for the way you contribute to the hobby! Nice review. Waiting for delivery of mine :) Looking forward to your experience with the BT2.0. I have a few of those to try as well.
Please post a vid of your experiments! I think mobula6 25000kv may see benefit, not quite so much with 19000kv version
your house is ways so clean! your flights are fantastic. great video as always, thanks!
Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!! 😃
About "pod racing"... That gave me ideas... 🤔
I love your impressive indoor flight!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Your flying is very impressive! I thought no way this has to be sped up video but watched the seconds ticking by. It's insane! I already planned on getting this before watching this but this seals the deal!
Thank you. I enjoy flying and fly at least one battery a day inside. Part of my day is to have at least one flight
I loved the mobula7 best out of all the bnf whoops I reviewed.
I will get this one asap!
Thanks!
Been waiting for this, thanks Nick! I ordered both versions. I'll start with the 19kv and move up 😆 I wasn't much into indoor flying until I got the tinyhawk S
Flying indoor really helps us be more precise which opens up outside spaces to non-whoop flight.
Looks good. Happy Holidays and happy flying.
Damn that thing moves! I have not liked most whoops but might have to check this one out. Thanks for all the great videos!
I was the same. Back in the day I got an inductrix and it just wasn't fun. I then bowed out of micros until a couple of days ago when I bought a Mobula 6 based off watching Nick fly this one. You won't be disappointed. Get the 25000kv and it legitimately shreds. I've been flying it outside at my apartment and it's a blast.
What would you recommend for outdoor drone flying that has hoops around the propeller..... For a brand new beginner
Great review Nick, was waiting on yours before I pulled the trigger, have had my eye on it for a while. Thanks!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Mine is on order from Banggood and I’m waiting for it to come off processing, been a few days. Hoping it’ll come to me early in the new year, but I’m in Australia and they usually take about a month.
Just found your videos today, Scary Fast and Awesome! I'm starting with FPV Tinywhoops - can't find the X4 Charger, what would you recommend for a charger if the X4 is not available?
wow...you are an FPV God Nick...that speed and proper control..keep it up!
Thank you.
was looking forward to this review. thanks Nick
This is the next generation whoop. The all in one board weight savings really make a difference. Finally, a product not by BetaFPV !!! I'm still all good with my Mobula7's on 1S for indoor, but this looks promising !!!
Thanks I was looking forward for this review looks awesome micro for indoor
Thanks Nick to answer to all questions ! What is the best battery you would recommend for the Mobula6 25KKV ?
The ones I use in the video gnb 350 or 300
Recent subber to you Nick, liking your style for sure. Great work. Jeff
Man, INSANE flying at the start. That's just crazy skills.
That was a very fast run through the house on a 1S Power Whoop? That's amazing! See you in the Air!
They keep getting better and better don't they?
Great video Nick, for 1S awesome, just on that charger mate does it put the ph2 batteries into storage as well
The charger does not do storage. I am not aware of any 1s charger that does storage charging.
Great flying! Is there any way to adjust the color saturation on the Nano 3?
Thanks for the review I have 4 of the 19000kv on preorder. I've got a bunch of students learning to whoop race. I thought they'd be a nice upgrade from our fleet of 615 brushed whoops.
I think the camera experience will be much more positive than the previous cams we have been using...pretty amazing little camera.
Sorry for the noob question but the ESCs are rated for 5amp 6 burst but in your osd your always over that. Is that a overall amps then u have to divide by 4 to get the per esc. Thanks and love the channel. U should do audio books lol
I just picked one of these up!! She’s so tiny! 😺 little winter ripperðŸ‘
You're a wild man, Nick! Like looking through the eyes of a hummingbird jacked up on Red Bull!
Lol now that’s one I have never heard 😂
Wow, just ordered one! Only the 19K version, but Merry Christmas to me...ho, ho, ho!
Hoping to be able to fly it in the New Year...let’s go BangGood!
*Mobula 6 the Meteor killer!*
At 0:05 my coffee cup stopped halfway to my face and I just sat and marvelled at the speed and the skill!
Hopefully none was spilled :)
@@NickBurnsFPV Not yet, but there's hope; I bought a Mobula6 and am now flying low over the kitchen bench. :) This is very addictive. Awesome review, BTW.
@@johanbergkvist8834 Thank you
You fly like a champion. Looks very very good.
Seems like a good upgrade from the UR65 series. I probably won't upgrade until something dies on my US65 because I still can't fly that full stick indoors, but that weight is just phenominal. Great review, your skills really show what's possibly with that little powerhouse.
Thank you, no need to really upgrade the ur65 is a good one
Thanks for another great video Nick
Excellent review, they are just getting better every time! 👊
Thank you. They continue to improve, year over year.
Man that little guy rips! Can’t wait till digital shrinks down this far.. surprised you’re getting video reception from upstairs to downstairs.. haven’t flown analog since the dji system came out.. might go back to it for this!
lol. Our house and the position I sit in has a large impact on video reception. If I sit in another room my reception isn't as good.
Wow! You fly the heck out of these quads
Great review and flying! That thing is a ripper! My Mob6 has been on pre-order from HeliDirect for 2 weeks. Hope they ship soon!
hopefully happymodel has been hard at making them.
Will the 25000kv variant provide much more punch for light freestyle flying or should I stick with the 19000kv for more flight time? Also have you flashed JESC on your mob 6 25000kv? Has it increased your flight time?
Thanks again nick for another great review!!
Higher kv will have more top end, but less on the bottom end. I have a 65mm like the mobula 6 with jesc, it does increase flight time.
Damn nice flyin Nick! Very cool Whoop!
Thank you
Looks like a winner. Thanks Nick...ðŸ‘ðŸ»ðŸ»ðŸ‘ŠðŸ»
I only have a small house so I will stick with my ur65, looks really fast for a 1s I wish I had more space
I got the 25000 kv version of the mobula 6, would you consider upgrading the battery connector to the new bt2.0? Absolutely love this quad and really don't fancy burning it up
I will be working on a bt2.0 version. The connectors only just arrived. Much to do right now with the holidays and family.
Totally ripping it up Nick💥💯😎👌, I pre-ordered 2 weeks ago a soon as it appeared on Bangers😊ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Thank you
@@NickBurnsFPV No thank you Sir, sincerely
I was looking at your video from the Eachine E010 $15 whoop you posted about three years back....and now, compare that to this...CRAZY how much progression the fpv world has taken!
yes for sure, brushless has brought new levels of performance.
Looks good might grab one. I almost want to wait for newbee drones brushless.... Love watching you fly in your house.
That one just arrived. Not sure I will be able to get it done before Christmas
@@NickBurnsFPV awesome cant wait!
Hi Nick!
Thanks for your yet another great review!
What will be your 1S best whoop to buy today? Nov-2020
In the 1s 65mm format it would be the mobula 6 for racing or the newbeedrone acrobee for more freestyle of flight.
Eachine ae65 destroy mob6
Hey Nick, so I feel like for most 65mm whoops, the ph2.0 solid pin is probably plenty... but for this 25000kv, would the BT2 or gnb27 make a difference? Most of my whoops flying 65mm frames are running ph2, whereas I have been swapping my 75mm whoops and other 1s stuff to bt2.0 and gnb27.
There will be a benefit over ph2.0. We know that the ph2.0 connector creates battery resistance which decreases performance and flight time. To maximize either a bt2.0, gnb27 will have a benefit, the benefit might be small depending on the demands of the quad.
Wow that thing is Fassst!!! Getting one asap!!! Thanks for the info Nick!!!
hi Nick , i'm a newbie in FPV drone . i've try to check my pid on beta flight , but i cannot setup the p i d . is show a black color, and i cannot change the value inside it . i use beta flight 10.8.0 . how i can change the pid value ? im using mobula6 Hd
If the numbers don't appear in the PID page I suspect something is wrong with the betaflight configuration application. I would uninstall betaflight configuration application, reboot the computer. Download betaflight configuration application again and reinstall.
I'm new in Fpv. Which Fpv goggles and which RC do you recommend for this drone? Something cheap would be awesome. Which info should I use to find goggles and RC if I know the drone to use them with?
I would look at the jumper radios and the Eachine EW30 goggles. I have a review on the goggles.
Nick great review!! As always, just letting you know your BG coupons won't for myself in Canada, I think i might have to wait for a sale
I have been told the coupon has been used up. Previously I was told it was good through the month/year. Looks like it is too popular to maintain the coupon. 😖
Nice flying man subbed
Thank you
New to this - but wow, this is unreal! Question, for a newbie what controller/goggles would you recommend in order to get the best out of this drone?
Best means expensive generally. I would start with used equipment. Get some fatshark hdo goggles for cheap and an frsky x lite...not the current year model the older model, or buy a jumper t16 radio. Then add a charger, for 1s I use the one at the end of the video. Do you research on the equipment sellers...for sure.
perfect (best) review as usual :) i am gonna to test mine i have just received for french users, as soon as i get time (i just finished BETA 85 PRO 2 review, i am a little in late^^, and i have a 23g-75mm tiny to test too just before ... )
🤣😂🤣😂 The part with the "baby" lights got me. This is what i do every night. My children dont care about my acro bees sound but light matters :) Nice video! i was thinkin about to buy a mobular for a while. now i think i will have to get one! Greetings from germany!
The life of having a family and the hobby.
Looks good... thanks for the heads up!
Nick, what is the strobe light on the ceiling in the one-room when you were flying dark, pretty cool!
That might be Christmas lights from outside
sweet kwad!!
where does one get those "loom bands"? looks like its perfect size for helping to hold aio in place on a whoop...thanks!
I think I got them from ebay..search for loom bands or loom bandz.
Hey Nick. Great review as always. Where do you get those gnb 350s with extension lead? Can’t find them. I’m in Canada.
Try amazon rotorgeeks.com rotorvillage.com snhobbies.com. About the only places I can think of for Canada
Tried all those already with no luck. Most have the 300s but not 350s. Guess I will just need to keep my eyes out for them. Got a m6 in route. Looking forward to going plaid with it! Thanks Nick.
I have a bunch of emax 450 mh batteries. Would these work for any version of the mobula 6? If so, would the speed and flight time be better? Thanks for the review.
The battery tray doesn't natively fit that size of battery. We would have to either mod the battery tray or find another way to keep the battery mounted to the quad.
Gday Nick, wow that was some fast flying Nick nice work, this little guy is awsome for inside flying, when can we get a nano 3 great camera for micros, its a bit sad thats that its not great for outside awsome review mate.ðŸ‘🛸
The outside issue is really about weight and wind....with very little weight its hard to battle much wind. Some locations might not have wind, I have not visited those locations. IMHO we need a whoop for indoor and something without whoops or prop guards for outdoor.
Damn it I was watching in 1.25 speed
. I was so surprised thinking, wow! He really is flying a lot faster! Then I noticed you were talking a lot faster as well....HAH!
Great video by the way this quad looks so fun
lol, light speed
Wow, nice house! I have a mobula 6 on it's way. Very excited!
Thank you Mobula 6 should be a lot of fun for you.
been a while getting back to it. will this bind with a jumper radio? got rid of my taranis radios
Yes jumpers have a mulitprotocol module
Hey Nick. Do you know whether or not the GNB 1s 350mah battery would fit the M6 and if so would it add too much weight? I have it in my basket for pre-order.Thanks a bunch and have a great day my friend
That is the battery I used in this video.
Hey Nick, just looking into FPV. What transmitter and googles would you recommend for this? Probably not going to get in too deep, but want something that can be used if I step up a level.
Did we get this answered on facebook?
@@NickBurnsFPV Yes sir! Thank you for your awesome and detailed help!! Can't wait to order by stuff and give it a try!
nick i've been looking a whoop or not , something small to fly fpv in backyard or my shop , but there's only 6000 different ones out there lol.. have a couple 5" quads and my knowledge of whoop is slim .. what are your picks ? small yard like yours ,
I wouldn't do a whoop outside, they best whoop (2incher) is a pretty modest flyer outside. I would look at something like the vanta2.5 I recently reviewed or the larva x or the hx100 or hx115.
Hey Nick,
Is banggood already shipping out the mobula 6? Cause im wondering why all the reviews pop up on youtube but they are still on preordering process on each site
yes they have been shipping, not only from banggood but other vendors to. They go fast so it appears its constant preorder.
So If i want a whoop for indoor racing, should i get the 19000kv ? I see the 25000kv version a Little bit overpower, more like a 2s whoop; for indoor flight . Maybe the sweet spot is the 22000kv
Some whoop races have qualifiers of four laps, depends if we can get 4 laps with 25kmotors. I would think so but I have raced in a whoop race event
Great video!! Can a elrs EP1 be added to this quad? Thanks.
While I haven't done it my self. We generally have two uarts on aio whoop boards. We can use one for an elrs rx. The soldering on these boards is super tiny though. I have done it a few times, be careful of using to much solder it can bleed over to another pad.
@nickburnsfpv can you still recommend this whoop for my first tiny whoop for in and outdoors?
Yes, it's still a solid option for both indoor and outdoor....and its available unlike the new mobula 6 2024 edition...largely backordered
Thanks again for another great review Nick. Those battery spars are always breaking on the Happymodel 65 frame!
I love the innovation here. The only thing for me is I wish they offered 22000kv 0802 option as well as a middle road, that might be OK with 300mah but still give a little more than 19000 does
The version I am flying is the 22k version. Maybe you were meaning a different kv, they have 22k and 19k.
ha, I stand corrected, flying the 25k version,,,, now I understand.
Because of the newer Frsky radios running ACCST 2.0 do you think its still worth buying this?
If I could I would wait. I suspect we will see a new version with elrs come out soon. They kinda already released one, but the motor size and kv wasn't good. I think there will be another version yet.
Cool review. I kinda lost interest in indoor flying, but this one looks good...and the Nano3 looks awesome.
Looks sweet. I just got a Tinyhawk S it’s fun. It’s main downfall is the camera, which I will be upgrading to a runcam nano.
Looks like a great little quad. Fantastic for indoors. Looks like it can handle Outdoors as well. Hopefully there are other online retailers selling it. Banggood is horrible if it comes from China Warehouse in China. You may never see the product! Merry Christmas Nick.
I am sure there will be a heavy does of importers.
Nick, did you have any problems with the mobula6 dumping the firmware if the battery voltage got too low? I've had to rebind and reload the baseline CLI file several times already.
I didn't, but I did test this issue and confirmed if we fly below 3 volts the firmware resets. Be sure to have your osd on, warnings element of the osd enabled and set the power/battery warning to 3.2 and minimum to 3.1. Many flights I have landed at 3volts with no issue, something about going below 3 volts causes the issue.
crazy flying. where'd you get your sectional sofa in your living room? thanks
Thank you. I think we got it from an Ashley furniture store.
What are you running as your remote? I’m trying to get into the hobby a lot more and I’m look for a good remote that will work I currently have a dx6i but I don’t think it would work
I have used a few over the years. I prefer smaller gamepad style radios. Currently I use the radiomaster zorro.
Any idea if Banggood will start stocking some spares for this drone?
I believe they have spare parts listed, search for mobula 6 it should turn up the components. I don't know when or if the parts are in stock
Your house a**hauling videos always crack me up, Nick. Gangway, kids!
Most of the videos that make it to the channel are over lunch when they are away at school. Otherwise I have to duck and dodge them, they can't sit still :)
is there anyway to increase bat life? i had a moblite and it got fried and i cant return mobula... do u recomend weight reduction, and whatnot? i have 19000kv with 4.35V betafpv batteries, i get 2m and 30seconds flighttime and i want better motors..
often with ph2.0 battery connection the connection itself is worn out, on one or both ends. BT2.0 and GNB27 is a much better micro connector. Also battery quality and care play a substantial role.
So seeing you ripping this thing like that... whats up with the PW2.0 thing? Is it not needed at all? Would this improve if you chage the connector to PW2.0? Mylipo is releasing PW2.0 connectors soon
PW2.0? I am not familiar with that connector. Mylipo.com isn't coming up tonight...website must be down.
That is some great flying!!!! I would be interested to know what rates you are using?
pretty high rates. Pitch and roll 1.20 and super of .75, yaw is 1.30 and super of .80
Hey Nick! Do you still think the Mobula 6 Holds up after 2 years? Or are there other drones that perform/cost better or evenly as this one?
The main change in whoops is more powerful vtx. The moblite 6 is lighter with a 200mw vtx.
Nick, maybe you can offer me your opinion on what to do now.. I have a Flsky version of this FC. When I got it it took me forever to get it into bind mode. The bind button would not work.. Eventually it worked once..
Well it came un-bound somehow, and I can't get it back into bind mode... Can you tell me what color the lights are when in bind mode please? And do you know, do I have to be holding the button while powering up?? Or can I just push it after, like with crossfire?? I am hoping like last time on about the 1,000th time trying it will work.. It would help greatly knowing what color blinks I am looking for.. Thank you for your time, Mike
This is the manual www.happymodel.cn/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/Happymodel-Mobula6-flysky-edition-1s-brushless-whoop-Manual.pdf the red light is the only light indicating binding status. Note you can also use the "bind_rx" or "bind_rx_spi" in the cli to enter bind mode. yes the button needs pressed and held down when applying power.
