Defensively, it’s been a complete shambles and are conceding more goals than ever before and in that midfield not having a proper number 6 doesn’t help either and it plays a role in why they don’t control games nowadays and they have moments where they look good but their momentum doesn’t last for very long. It seems like when they’re tying or losing the game, that’s the only time when Barcelona shows up and they’re a club that’s small from a mentality perspective. Injuries the coach etc yes they’re factors we can’t come up with different excuses and thing that all of their problems go away all of a sudden. In La Liga, Real Madrid are favorites to win the league and what Girona are cooking up is something special, Barcelona are barely even getting over the finish line in games and make things very hard for themselves and I don’t know if they can win the league especially with how poor they’re playing and in the champions league last 16, they should beat a Napoli side that’s nowhere near the team they were when they won Serie A last season and even in that competition they’re not winning the champions league. Last season, they won La Liga and in a transitional period they looked good this season however there’s a very high likelihood that Barcelona goes trophyless and many people will want Xavi sacked and believe that he’s not the right manager to take this team to the next level and I agree that under him, they need to play better given how young this squad is, the coach and their financial problems everyone has to accept that it’ll take a very long time before Barcelona gets back to being the team that they used to be and even with a managerial change it’ll be the exact same thing.
