They are Vizekusen no longer. Yesterday Bayer Leverkusen finally won the Bundesliga for the first time in their history by winning 5-0 against Werder Bremen. De Werkself disposed of their past demons, breaking Bayern's domestic dominance and to this day are the only team across the top 5 leagues to still be undefeated in the current season.
It wasn't always like this, Leverkusen used to be known for always being so close yet so far from winning silverware. From the Treble Horror to their infamous three season cycle, the Leverkusen faithful have been through their fair share of suffering. But how did things suddenly change?

First of all I really wanna compliment you for how detailed you summarized the clubs history, since most other creators dont go back so much and only tell the story of 2002. Also your pronounciation was actually really good!
One thing about the starting eleven though, for the most part of the season Palacios was the clear starter next to Xhaka in midfield and Andrich was the rotation player who came on. Andrich ended up playing more games cause Palacios got hurt. And Hlozek never was a starter, it's either Hofmann or Adli who play that role next to Wirtz. Hlozek has been one of the only disappointments this season and is likely to be sold after this season.
