    Correction: James ended his conctract with Olympiacos in early 2023. He joined São Paulo (a big team in Brazil), but he is struggling to fit in the main team there. He considered ending his contract as well, but was convinced to stay.

    Isco himself deserves a video. He was a good player but the only time I saw him assert dominance and take control of a match was against Sporting Gijon when Madrid won 2-3 away from home. He also would underperform massively when he got comfortable and knew his starting role was guaranteed, which led him to go to the bench, which sparked rumors of him leaving... And then he would play out of his skin when his contract was due to end. Rinse and repeat.

    • @ClassicalFootball10
      @ClassicalFootball10  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yeah that’s very true. A lot of players tend to get comfortable once they feel as though their starting position is guaranteed. Except, in Madrid you can never get comfortable and nothing is guaranteed. Isco’s a very interesting player and would deserve video ! I’ll keep in mind soon !

      @@ClassicalFootball10 A few things to note also is that Isco lost his place under Solari after being basically a guaranteed starter under Lopetegui, but then he began to drop off more and more under Solari until he was fully benched. Not even the return of Zidane managed to get him back to his previous best, and it wasn't until his move to Betis under Pellegrini that he's been thriving again.

    That's what happens when big clubs rush to buy players solely based on World Cup performance (which is max 7 matches inside a month)!

    • @JustKrin
      @JustKrin Před 3 měsíci +2

      Real Madrid is known for making the World Cup their shopping list. 2014 with James, Kroos and Keylor, 2018 with Courtois and Eden Hazard, and 2022 with Jude Bellingham, and reportedly they wanted Bono but he declined due to Afcon
      The World Cup is the biggest stage in fútbol and usually is played before the transfer market so is obvious why many players get bought from their performances there

    The guy when healthy is easily top 5 no. 10s in the world. He has it all. This is a classic example of a position being out of favor (no. 10) and maybe the athlete not having the drive after making tens of millions.

      I'm a fellow FM enthusiast and an Olympiacos fan so every year I start a save with my team so James was there last year. He was ok for me for the first half season but the rate which his physical stats were declining was ridiculous, had to sell him in January to cash out. His left foot is as good as ever but I've never seen a bigger diva playing for my club, he's completely immature and lazy, he only cares about strip clubs and his image

    Desaprovechó la oportunidad en el Bayern München
    Sin ritmo de competencia llega a Rusia 2018 y termina lesionado
    Regresa a la banca del Madrid y lo demás es historia
    Inglaterra,Arabia,Grecia y ahora después de viejo para que.
    Al Brasil donde se juega el campeonato más duro delundo
    No James no hay tiempo ni para llorar,retírate sigue los pasos de otros que fueron grandes
    Antes de terminar en un equipito de la desvalorada segunda división Colombiana

    • @ClassicalFootball10
      @ClassicalFootball10  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yeah I definitely don’t think he’s a failure. His career is better than 99.9% of players and if you watched him play you know just how class he was. I’m just saying that these couple of years his career has fallen off and he’s not amongst the best in the world anymore.
      Will try and better my videos each time ! ✅

    • @lethargicmosquito
      @lethargicmosquito Před 3 měsíci

      compared to you and me, this guy is not a failure, you are right, he made millions playing football and he will retire in his early to mid 30s with money and plastic bimbos to last for a life time. If we talking about his career though and you factor in his talent, what he did with it, the money that was spent for him.... total failure. The guy is not even able to actually finish a season with the club that he started it with, for years now. Ex player since the tender age of 28. Most fans of every team he has played for the last years absolutely despise the guy.
