Throughout football history, there have been some absolutely amazing playmakers. Guys who had eyes in the back of their head and vision that makes you wonder just what goes on in their minds - the level of football intelligence, technical skill, and vision is just mindblowing.
But at a young age, there has always been one player that was just better at it than everyone else, and for quite some time, there was a clear difference. But slowly, after a while... he started to fall off. Mesut Ozil was on track to be the best assister we’ve ever seen, so what happened? What went wrong in his career? Let's take a deeper look.

Emery , arteta and ljunberg all dropped him despite his quality . Wenger was well aware and gave him special treatment (extra days off ect) something that will only ever upset a TEAM dynamic . Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard . He's been kicked out of the fenerbache team aswell , I doubt a Turkish team binned him for his political views and his support of Turkish politicians . It's his lack of commitment off the pitch . Do you think he isn't still capable of starting for fenerbache ? Everyone knows his quality and capabilities but no one will stomach someone not being committed, I would rather have a player that is technically poor but will give me 110 percent everyday and would die for the team than someone world-class for the 2 days a month they can be bothered to try .

@dutchRKelly there were a lot of players in those Arsenal teams who didn't give 110% aside from Ozil. He was being asked to play a role he didn't suit. There are countless world class players that aren't expected to track back and receive no backlash for it because of how they play, find space, and what they can do in the opponents half. The board never surrounded him with players good enough. Maybe 1 or 2 at different times with the likes of Santi and Sanchez but it was never consistent and 1 or 2 isn't enough. Regardless of his alleged lack of discipline, you have to learn how to deal with that and cater to the biggest talent in your team. One thing you didn't mention was that he personally met with Erdogan and gave publically gave him a jersey of the German national team with his name on it. That move didn't sit well with the DFB and German fans because Erdogan was deemed an unfavorable state leader at the time because of his politival decisions and because the public presentation of the national teams jersey was done without the consent of the DFB. That also was the final nail in the coffin for his national team carreer.
