Great setup. That's sweet CNC!
you have done fantastic work and also gives nice idea for making that sacrificial board.
I totally need to do this! Great vid!
Drunkenwood Thanks David! Definitely a CNC must!
Enjoyable to watch man!!
cool never thought having the spoil board. That would be nice to have a board flatten to the machine. Nice job
Mike Fulton Thanks Mike!
Pretty cool Andy. What type of CNC is that? I'm glad to see you have one now, and am looking forward to see how you incorporate it into your projects.
GuysWoodshop It is a CNC Shark HD with extended bed available at Rockler.com Thanks for watching and commenting Guy!
nice! that gave me some awesome ideas. Can you tell me if you were using an ER16 spindle? where did you buy that tool that you used to plain the surface of the table? can you tell me some information that would help me to find it on the web? I plan doing this on the base of the CNC that I am assembling so that I don't have to spend too much for machining the table base itself. most of it I intent on doing using the own cnc machine to do it.
Thanks Andy. I am currently making a spoil board for my new CNC. Since your part list is not available on your website, would you be able to tell me what size bolts you are using?
Good job!!!!!
Thank you!
Why not using the cnc to drill the holes into the spoilboard? 🤔
are you using the wireless number keypad as a jog controller with the CNC Control Program from NWA???
and how are you doing that ?
Ibrahim Al Abdulaaly Yes sir! I purchased the control pad on amazon and assigned HOT KEYS to the number pad. Works great and only cost $15
nice...looks like you may need to tram the spindle i see lines that look deeper than others but could just be just lines. not knocking it in any way i need to tram mine also but i used smaller cutter to surface so my lines are closer as of now . but i have a small cnc for now
I noticed the lines in the spoilboard and have them in mine as well. I am new to CNC and not sure what “tram the spindle” means. Could you elaborate on that. I noticed there was not a reply to your post
@@centercrossranch3709 Look up Mark Lindsay on CZcams. He has a video that goes thru his method for tramming the machine. Basically it is adjusting so that z is as near perpendicular as possible to x and y. The objective is that your bit does not travel along slightly tilted causing the blade to cut deeper on one side or the other.
Hi. What kind of CNC Machine is this and which Spindle did you install on it?
CNC shark HD 3 with extended bed. I upgraded to a 3HP water cooled spindle. Forget the company, do a quick Google search "water cooled CNC spindles"
can you give a link to the remote your using for your cnc
It is a wireless keypad I bound hot keys to
Would you mind sharing what bit you were using for flattening the spoil board?
Available on tools today . Com. Search spoil board bit or surfacing bit
+Glass Impressions I have checked them out before. Lot's of different options for that. I noticed you have started putting the exact models / speeds / feeds on some of your newer CNC videos (awesome thank you). If you happen to remember next time you're in your shop please let me know the model. Since they are a bit on the pricier side I would prefer to get something that I have seen in action. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
+Michael Schuler this is the one I have. I appreciate your comments!

+Glass Impressions Thanks Andy. Keep up the great content, we appreciate it.
why not apply the glue directly onto the surface instead of putting into the can and then the surface?
how would you keep a sheet of abs in place without using screws or glue tape?
O GR13 vacuum table is your only option
@@GlassImpressions thank you, do you think a straight flute bit would make a difference?.
Hm, i like this I guess. But instead of using a bunch of holes with threaded inserts, what about making channels for the bottom of a bolt and then just sliding your bolts in to where you need them? A grid of channels and you would be all set.
Sandbags are good for large areas. Doesn't work too well for edges.
Adam R I never heard of sand bags! Interesting.
I am sure you can still buy handbook with all info you need on woodprix. Just google it.
You need to think about tramming.
