- In this video I’m laying a little patio using Yorkshire flag stones.
Some of these stones weighed 80kg+ so it was Abit of a task by myself but I managed to get it done! ⚒

Tom you truly love what you do and a true artisan
😊 thank you
I've got some to put down what mix would you recommend
"Reyt nice traditional look". Love it pal, keep on it. 👍
🤣🤣🤣 thanks jack!
Nice job
Thanks 😊⚒
Very nice looking, do you ever do smaller joints/perps/pointing than that ?
Yes but this was to match existing on the street
Fabulous Yorkstone, please tell me you did use lime mortar for the pointing and didn't let any cement within a hundred miles of the job. I have seen so many wonderful bricks and flags ruined by the use of modern cement mortar 😱😱😱
hi mate, just read your comment ,its got me thinking.....
imabout to lay a big patio for a customer welch pennant flags.
will cement ruin them too? thanks
another question if anybody can help me,,
how much per m2 do people charge to lay these flags if the ground has already been prepped..labour only...
plus price for pointing labour only per m2...
cant find anybody who can help!!!
thanks
It is good you at times will do a small job a lot want both bet thay over moon all good for word off mouth lot work best way to get work
What mix did you use for the pointing? I need to do something similar, but never done before. Cheers!
I believe it was 3/1 building sand and cement but I can’t remember exactly as I did a few tests to match what was on the house
how much would you charge by the meter to lay these,if ground was prepped...
plus how much for pointing per m2
