This was long overdue!! Loved Bonzi back in the day. Gave folks the business with him on the old 2K joints
Especially 2k2 playing w portland.hit R2 for the lob soon as you pass half court lol
@@chriskeepit100 yessir! bro Bonzi, Sheed and Damon and I’ll give folks problems 🤣
2K on Dreamcast 😂 with that meth and red beat 😂😂
@@diegotheyorkie1420 had to be on the Dreamcast! 🤣🤣
@@13randonr.93 spin move all day 😂
Always rocked with Bonzi but damn this made me appreciate him even more. All the blessings his way!!
This episode won’t be as popular as other, but this is easily a top 5 episode. Got so much more respect for Bonzi as a player and as a person.
🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Grown Man Tears..gives you real prespective of life and what it really means....Respect to Bonzi and glad he doing good
This episode had me in tears Bonzi has a testimony!! God bless
Bro I fr teared up💯
"I'm Not Afraid To Tell My Guys I Love Them" 😢💪🏿
That Was Thee Statement of The Interview...
These Real Life Situations will Put Life Into Perspective. I most definitely appreciate Life More and More each day. That Portland Team was crazy and Bonzi Wells was one of the Best Blazers ever
Man that was emotional. Glad you’re ok Bonzi
I'm glad he is still here.
Damn this episode hit me different. My mother passed away from a heart attack in 2002 and that pain never goes away. Prayers up to bonzi and shoutout to Matt and stak for being real friends 💯
Love the vulnerability on this episode. Bonz really showed to the viewers and made us realize that man, y’all have one life and it is so precious. In the blink of an eye it can all be taken away.

Man this one hit. I had a heart attack. It changes you forever. Thank you for sharing B Wells 💯
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Bonzi a real one man I wasn’t ready for that. He didn’t give one canned cookie cutter answer. I loved the interview. If nothing else, because this was the only place Bonzi would have been that raw and open.
Tht Memphis squad in the early 2000s is one of the most Underrated teams of all time. Two deep at every position, shooting, post up, defense, and my dog Hubie Brown
They were a fun team to watch.
I used to love seeing Memphis and San Antonio go at it in the playoffs. Great basketball.
33:00 salute 🫡 I’m crying with y’all too!!!!! Crazy to think a podcast like this can bring great energy and stay consistent to real recognize real !!! This is how our communities and brothers and sisters need to come together -siblings of all color!!!! Peace & Blessings to all
This is why the player's media is important for fans and upcoming ballers. Former players would have to pass away to receive any recognition. I'm glad platforms are growing for players are rising and everyone can get their truth out and not worry about it heavily edited or their words controlled.
I literally died at the Hubie Brown calling em "coke & freebase guys"
That shit was hilarious
This is maybe my favorite all the smoke yet. White Chocolate on the podcast please track that man down
OMG!! I love this .. Bonzi getting emotional is so moving !! You were my favorite player ever and I live in SACRAMENTO .. I haven’t been a fan since you left .. I even payed a lot of money to bowl with you at that PEJA bowl athon thing they had .. you and Brad Miller betting each other taking shots of vodka .. I had no idea what you went through so this is amazing to see .. much love ..
Great interview like always fellas. We appreciate you Bonzi, for being able to share such a tough time in your life with us. A lot of us will be able to learn and take something away from your story.
Jack said he modeled his game after Bimbo Coles 😂😂😂
One of the realest hoop interviews. Much respect to Bonzi for the transparency. Continue to be a blessing 💯
Great interview - As a diehard Kobe fan and longtime listener of this pod, I LOVE how you guys bring up KB in almost every interview. Never allowing his name to never fade, and also getting some cool stories in the process.
His legacy will remain intact in so many ways, and I think it’s dope that you guys have made sure you contribute to that fact. Big respect. 🤝
Dope dope dope….. Kobe said Bonzi Wells and Kevin Durant were the 2 hardest players to guard during his entire career
That’s respect ….
No disrespect to Bonzi, but Kobe NEVER said that! 😂 What kobe said was that Bonzi was a monster to deal with as far as his post game when they met up during the Western Conference finals and that Portland as a team overall was just a tough matchup. Bonzi is not even in his top 10 lineup as toughest players, probably not even 20. His top 6 toughest players were A.I, Carmelo, Arenas, Durant, Marbury, and T-Mac. With T-Mac being the #1 toughest. Bonzi only averaged 12 points at most against Kobe and the Lakers.
@@christopherwalker7313
You won’t find a bigger Kobe fan than me and their are clips where Kobe is saying Bonzi and Durant were the two offensive players he could never figure out
@@cphillps1749 bro I know tons of Kobe fans and they will disagree with you. I can post a link now showing, straight out the horses mouth, kobe himself, stating this. Bonzi wasn't a top toughest player to kobe. Yes, kobe said bonzi was tough in the post and it helped his post game defense, but NEVER as far as overall tough to guard in general, NO. You should know better than that being a fan of his. Lol. Kobe said himself, he go by eras. He took the toughest players in each era and bonzi wasn't one of them. However Durant was.
Look, I say all the time, 98 through 2015 is a golden era from Basketball in my opinion! Bonzi in Portland was 🔥! Salute the team!
Golden era? Now way......LOL. But you know what? It’s cool that you have your own opinion. I personally loved the NBA from 1985 - 1999. I thought back then there have never been such a collection of talent.
That’s my opinion lol. I REALLY started getting into Basketball my freshman year of high school, and it was around this time, I literally watched all games. My Pistons were the truth!
What up doe 💪🏾
Detroiiitttttt basketballll
@@adgee5401 WHAT UP DOE!!!!
All I think about with him is the ghostface bar "I keep the heat blazing like I'm bonzi wells" 🔥

Shout out to my Man Bonzi and his Dad from New York Will.... one of the real ones....!!!!!
I cried too🤦🏽♂️. Salute to Bonzi💪🏽
This was by far the most emotional episode. Bonzi basically poured it out.
Muncie Central Legend!!! Kinfolk! From playing in the summers at Central when he was at Ball State, absolute Legend in Muncie. Prime example for the young kids that if your drive and grind is flipped on, you can make it from anywhere. Salute cuzzo!
Laughed and cried at the same time... The best 1 yet
Man, this gotta be a top 3 interview bro. Bonzi one of my faves & to see him tell his story, allow them to keep him crying in there, show his human side. Love it man. Love it. Glad my guy is ok.
Bonzi on here like a real man with a big heart ❤💯
In the words of Khalid, "ANOTHER ONE!!!". I liked Bonzi when he was in the league. This really brought him to life for me. Thank you!

He spoke highly of the impact of mentorship. I couldn’t agree more. Thanks B

Damn this was one of the best interviews I've seen in a long time. Blessings to Bonzi, God bless
Respect to Bonz💪💯
Didn’t have to do Bimbo like that!🤣🤣
I love seeing the real side of celebs and athletes and other popular media people. When they are real like this, it really let's people know that, just because you some kind of celeb, doesn't mean you're not human
I love the emotions that were displayed in this episode! Truly heart warming, thank you all the smoke!
Bonzi’s the OG. Good to see this guy spreading his love for the game. I attended Ball St while Bonzi was there and getting a nod of approval from him during a pick-up game was one of the highlights of my basketball journey. 🙌
Hubie brown excellent basketball commentator knows the game
Hubie is basketball royalty 🔥🔥🔥 dude is legit and treasure. I love that all my life so far he's been involved in the game and teaching. I've learned a lot from his commentary
Great episode...so glad y'all are podcasting & getting these stories out. Salute!!
Mr. Wells crying real tears and I cried as well. What a true Gentleman. Lots of appreciation for you and God Bless You. I know Kobe was respectful of you and how hard you played against him.
This Show is So Needed!!!
I'm live in Memphis I remember Bonzi. ..my brother and I were huge Bonzi fans. ...when he went to Sacramento and was bodying the Spurs that shit was crazy
That blazers team was LOADED. I used to rock with them in dreamcast 2k era
One of my favorite players on the Trailblazers 🔥🔥🔥🔥Bonzi
I learned alot about this man. I have great respect for anyone who's able to be so vulnerable.
Love you Bonzi 🤘 best interviewee I've witnessed in my life. Spoke real stuff that touched me. You family ❤️
I can feel you BONZI, been there, more power to ALL THE SMOKE, it only shows that we’re all human , takes a real man to tears infront of the camera “ more power “ god bless

Damn, this had me emotional.
Not the only one !! I didn’t even wipe my tears from 33:00- the end
This is why I love this podcast. I'm not a hooper and I just got really into basketball in like 2020. It's good to see these different players and realize that even tho they not all stars it's some dudes that were nice as hell. He seems like a good dude and this episode def made me fan...like it has for a few other players. Keep this shit goin!!!!
Always rock with Bonzi from back in those Portland days...

This podcast is the one man! Amazing people in that room!

Just started the episode, but it’s about time someone gave Bonzi some love on a big platform. I always loved his game and how he would punish cats in the post be still shoot it. That was a tough Blazer team.
