  • We’ve been featuring a lot of scale trail trucks as of recent. Not that we’re changing the direction of the channel, it’s just what is available for us to review and the trail truck segment is pretty hot right now. With that said, saddle up for another trail truck review. This time we have the Carisma SCA-1E Coyote Ready To Run Scale Adventure RC Truck. This 1/10 electric 4wd off-road truck has a lot of exciting features and a very cool 50’s truck inspired body. This machine has a smaller foot-print with a 280mm wheelbase and 1.55 beadlock tires, but it looks like it will deliver big on the fun. So the question is, will it? Does it have the features you’re looking for in a scale crawler? Greg breaks down the details and performance on the Carisma Coyote so you can see if this truck is right for your next scaler, RTR basher or project machine.

    Being the new guy on the block with RC all around, I chose this Carisma myself. Because of it's simple design I'm not intimated when I want to fix or upgrade. Small heads up,after time I've noticed the compound in the stock tires get broken in somewhat and becomes more sticky!!! Nice review I've done a couple mods to mine I named it Phil😎 Thx for finally getting it up on the bench.

    First thing I did was pull the foam out of the tires, That eliminated a lot of the bounce and made crawling a lot more effective, I did end up upgrading the tires and wheels to 1.9’s, They handle much better on a heavier rig so I put them on my TF2.
    This was my first RC crawler and I’ve been beating the bag off of it for 6 months now with no problems, I did hafto shave a piece of the steering servo bracket to make room for suspension travel but other than that it’s a well made truck and I’ll take it over an Axial any day, Thanks for the review RC Driver.
    It was well needed!

    I picked one of these up from a friend of mine who bought it for his girlfriend. She used it for like maybe a week, and wanted something easier to drive. So he took out the 35 turn motor, and swapped in a 55 turn. Then turned around and sold me the whole rig for $150 bucks. I had a really nice FlySky radio and receiver already, so I threw that in it. And it holds its own with his Komodo, and our other crawling buddies SCX 10. I actually am very impressed with this rig, and with a few more little odds and ends such as all metal steering knuckles, links, and servo arm, and some new grippier tires, and better shocks this things actually pretty solid too. For me its the best $150 RC purchase ive ever made!!! And goes anywhere rigs three times its price goes.... Also with a little creativity, and modding you can make it look awesome!!

      Yeah...great value
      If anyone can pick one up for $150. Spend the $300+ tax, then do all the improvements you mentioned.. Not such a good value anymore

    Your reviews are very constructive and factual. Very interesting for us because we can make our own opinion depending on what we are looking for, & also interesting for the manufacturer so they can improve their products. Keep going, you're perfect.

For 19.99 msrp. What a load of b.s. there stealing giving people a bad representation of what our hobby os All About. Maybe you could say a quick word about these carpet baggers and there scam. Good vids brother, you do this hobby a world of good, and we thank you Sir 🙂

    • @user-ey3js3td7g
      @user-ey3js3td7g Před 5 lety

      Я поставил на свою Carisma шины 121мм, но чуть подрезал колесные арки, в раздатке металлические шестерни, подшипники и латунные втулки, в мостах тоже втулки вместо подшипников. Я менял все на подшипники. Развесовка плохая из-за того, что аккумулятор сзади, я переставил его вперед, совсем другое дело.

  • @stpbasss3773
    @stpbasss3773 Před 5 lety +1

    I wanted one until I found out how small it is, an 11inch wheelbase is not much bigger than my barrage 12th scale.

    @mikeburgessrc5360 Před 6 lety +3

    Yeah I'd spend the extra 60 bucks & get the trx4 sport or an Axial deadbolt.Nice job on the review though. 👍 As soon as I saw the running footage I knew it needed some work. Suspension was just to stiff & bouncy. I do like the body I'm into the older style pick ups.

    • @RallyandTrail
      @RallyandTrail Před 6 lety +2

      Mike Burgess RC Traxxas prices in the UK are terrible the Trx4 sport is £140 more than the Carisma

    • @ottotarnowske987
      @ottotarnowske987 Před 6 lety +2

      Mike Burgess RC I agree the body is the best part. The body looks like a jeep j10 or j20 pickup.

    • @mikeburgessrc5360
      @mikeburgessrc5360 Před 6 lety

      fgbaja29cc Yeah the trx4 sport is 359.00 on Traxxas website & the Coyote is 300.00. That's crazy there's such a price difference. Has to be something with the cost of importing them.

    • @RallyandTrail
      @RallyandTrail Před 6 lety +1

      Mike Burgess RC Yeah it's a shame because Traxxas have some very nice models especially the newer stuff

    • @mikeburgessrc5360
      @mikeburgessrc5360 Před 6 lety +1

      fgbaja29cc I think with all the competition in the industry now maybe we might start to see the prices start to come down. I know Vaterra & ECX have lowered prices. Also Losi has the Tenacity line & they are reasonably priced for the performance level also. I'm hoping with the price of electronics getting better too maybe we will see some better RTR power systems. Traxxas electronics are not the greatest. I think there older servos & esc were built better. I'm still running original 2075 servos from 8 years ago. Lol
