I've seen videos of people racing super old cars from just after this era, probably 20's 30's, in rally style races through the woods. Kind of like the multi-hour tractor durability races. Can't think of the term for either kind of race. If you look at 99% of the drivers beating the sh!t out of them, they look like they just inherited their grandfathers life long pride and joy. I really don't have the energy to care either way, but it's just something to watch if you can find it. They're not quite as fragile as ragtime-piano comedies would have you believe.

These cars aren’t yours to wreck it have survived up until now. You just happens to have owned one of few that could have given people and the owner happiness. Many of them have rusted away and been left like a overgrown garden. We in one way don’t own them we just care for them so they can continue in a new time and pass on the happiness and historical value it sure has . this is really upsetting . I would love restoring that car.

After watching this- I can rest with ease, from my dirt track days. I literally Destroyed countless mustangs( fastbacks,and coupes),, and 67-68 Camaros( one was a Z/ 28), by gutting interiors, chainig the doors shut- and go racing !.. a few 65-67 malibu s were in there also..

Normally I love the destruction, but this one hurt, especially if that Vin number sign is true. Edit: I don't know when we started using Vin numbers, or how they were first structured. It wouldn't surprise me if there really was a first vin, and it still wouldn't surprise me if it was on an early ford.
While i understand keeping one in a musuem, there is little to no reason to care for the car outside of antique collectors who use the cars more as a sign of wealth rather than use. Their histroy is well documented so seeing one be destroyed is quite interesting
I know, I know, they built 15 million of them. The whole point is that it was the first mass-produced appliance car, but still... that was only true when it was new. Now, it's cultural heritage, more like a historic building. Or was. It's not "just a car" in the same way a grave stone isn't "just" a slab. It has representational power, and sits within a web of connections between people and the world, which get severed when it's destroyed.
If Henry Ford were alive today... He wouldn't give a flying $#!% about this. He designed and build his cars as a commodity consumer item and wouldn't have been precious about any of them. Many of them have rusted away and been left like a overgrown garden. We in one way don’t own them we just care for them so they can continue in a new time and pass on the happiness and historical value it sure has . this is really upsetting . I’ve just watched his lastest video about buying a Komatsu D355 bulldozer. Sort of a fun watch. Anyway had a look through his other videos and this one caught my eye, did not expect the outcome. While i understand keeping one in a musuem, there is little to no reason to care for the car outside of antique collectors who use the cars more as a sign of wealth rather than use. Their histroy is well documented so seeing one be destroyed is quite interesting

Now, it's cultural heritage, more like a historic building. Or was. It's not "just a car" in the same way a grave stone isn't "just" a slab. It has representational power, and sits within a web of connections between people and the world, which get severed when it's destroyed.
If Henry Ford were alive today... He wouldn't give a flying $#!% about this. He designed and build his cars as a commodity consumer item and wouldn't have been precious about any of them. The thing that WOULD make him turn over in his grave is if he knew what the state of his company and the car industry as a whole have become.
