THIS is EXACTLY what I needed today. Simple and straight to the point. Some people do too much talking and don't actually show you where to go and what to do. You have saved me SOOO much time. Thank you.

I'm so glad you've covered organisation as my FCP is a mess with libraries, events and projects. I can now organise stuff a bit better. Thanks

First of all this is one of the best FCP training by far on the Internet, Thank you so much Izzy.
I am having some format issue... when replacing the 1080 clip over the original 720, my format did not remain to 720.... there were some options when putting the second clip over, I had selected Replace, appreciate your support.

Can I have this on list view but also be able to zoom in on that clip in the browser? My issue is I prefer list view, but the method of selecting certain parts of the clip is not preferable. It’s hard to navigate around in there

So I end up just dragging whole thing over to the timeline and picking the best parts there

    Hey,
I'm having trouble bringing my clips into the timeline. I don't want to trim them I just want to bring the whole clip in, but when I click and hold my clip from the event above it starts trimming it with the yellow lines and I have to extend them for the whole clip to then be able to bring it down. How I I make it so that my cursor is only for moving rather than automatically trying to trim?
Thanks, loving the videos so far!

Yes, if you click and drag on a video clip, you select a range. If that happens, option-click on the range to deselect it. Then just click the clip once without moving the mouse. A single click should select the whole clip. After you select the whole clip, THEN click and drag it into the timeline. (The trick is to make sure you select the whole clip first before dragging it down to the timeline.)
That should do the trick. :)
