I have been searching and searching for a video that does what you have explained in the first 3 on your series! It is one of the best that I have seen! Thank you so much for doing this for us! Great work and again thanks so much.

Switching from iMovie. Great tutorials. Binge watching all of them.

Film strip view has its benefits, but it also gets very frustrating. Because that is such a little box in there can be so much footage in there and you can’t tell what is what

Thanks the second half of this is helping. I was having so much trouble and therefore just dragging it to the timeline to edit there

Hey Izzy; I'm switching from iMovie to FCP and am glad I found your CZcams page. You're a great teacher ~ very thorough in your explanations and demonstrations. ...Thanks!!!

Hi Izzy, great that you made this video's. I am a FCPX user since day one, and I am just as fond of it as you. I have a question though: In this lesson you make an Event for every type of media, and then, manually, you drag your Photo's in the Photo event and so on. Isn't it much easier than use the Smart Collections for this? Or do you tell this later? I use another way to organise my clips. I use the 'Event' folder indeed for the import of one Event. So if you consider an holiday as an event, then every holiday has its own Event. And all these Events are in de Library 'Our Holidays'. Bye for now, have a nice weekend.

Great Tutorial, thank you! After a coupla years of wanting to pull out my hair, editing in Premiere, I'm making the switch, and as a 20+ year Logic Pro user, you've already made me realize I'm gonna love FCP so much more, as it's set up in that clean Apple way that I know and love :) Cheers!

So is there no way for it to automatically put these into different folders for audio, photo, and video, different media types? Or do you have to drag them over every time
