While it is often a good idea to get your view of something from reviewers, it is still just their opinion, the show is still enjoyable for the characters, if a bit terrible, so you shouldn't let this spoil any enjoyment that you get out of it if you previously wanted to watch it.

HARD AGREE on episode 4. By far the best episode because of how batshit insane it was. It took me a bit to get immersed in the dream sequence, but once I was, it was PERFECT, especially sharing the disbelief with friends in a watch party

I remember paying 25$ (I think), to play that in my PS3 as a kid. It was so horrible but my kid self was determined I just wasn’t playing it right..
Looking at it now it is literally just terrible. The graphics itself look like Microsoft paint was used.

Appreciate you defending episode 4. I can get a guilty pleasure out of the insanity of the human stuff in the movie-verse but I hope they got most of the zany factor out of their systems with this show for Sonic 3 so they can increase the best parts of Sonic 2 when it really felt like the Sonic elements had come to life on the big screen

Adam Pally and the other human characters were extremely cringy and boring. The show felt like those late Adam Sandles movies, except much worse.
Happy Endings is so dear to me and Max was my favorite character, sucks that the Knuckles show wasn't a great fit for him. I think if they gave Wade Max's personality and campiness it'd be a lot closer to what Schaff was looking for in his character

I still enjoyed it, warts and all, and also, the reason why the 4th episode was so insane is because one of the Lonely Island guys, Jorma Taccone, directed it.
I feel like the best way to describe the Knuckles series is with the wedding scene from Sonic 2 where Sonic gets taken out of the picture and focus more on Maddie’s Sister. They just did it again, but do it with Wade, change from wedding to bowling,and expend it to most of the episodes

Except I actually remembered who Rachel was by the end of the film.
And the sad part is that I thought the wedding scene was hilarious. Everything was just so over the top that I couldn't help but have fun with it. This show just doesn't seem to capture that same magic, except in episode 4.
In the words of Robotnik from First Movie about Maddie's sister's wedding and Wade in general:
"NOBODY CARES!"
Godzilla felt more present in 2014 (a 2 hour movie) than Knuckles was in this (a whole-ass tv show).

Because Godzilla in 2014 movie showed how much big threat he is once he was present on the screen. The director also directed Rogue One by doing the same thing, making Darth Vader intimidating despite having less than 10 minutes of screen time.
Meanwhile, Knuckles, uhhhh..... he's a cool Enchidna voiced by Idris Elba, I guess? Also Sonic and Tails are there too.
Honestly they should've just straight up called it "Wade & Knuckles" the "& Knuckles" part granting the writers meme points and not false advertising it as Knuckles' show where people say he cameos in it.
or they could make an actual good show centered on Knuckles, instead of making it centered around the idiotic manchild comedic relief with daddy issues in a bowling tournament.

Knowing how much lore Knuckle's race has on the games and how much potential he has in general, this show feels like such a waste of time
The female G.U.N. Agent was a missed opportunity to introduce Rouge the Bat and establish her rivalry with Knuckles.
Also no exploration of Knuckles’ backstory, Tikal, Chaos or the Chao. If Sonic 3 is meant to be based on Sonic Adventure 2, this show should’ve been based on Sonic Adventure 1.
I would not want Willoughby replaced with Rouge. She'd be an alien that would require some backstory about how she worked for G.U.N. Also, Willoughby's xenophobia would not be good for Rouge. Plus, CGI is expensive, which is why Knuckles couldn't be in the show as much as we wanted him to be.
This really is an extension of "And Knuckles".

First! And opinions are valid, but I really enjoyed this show! It’s a perfect continuation of the second movie. Idris Elba once again kills it as Knuckles. I liked his and Wade’s dynamic. And I like how Knuckles learns valuable lessons, like accepting Green Hills as his new home, learning to let his guard down, understanding how important family is, and empathising and supporting other people.

To be fair, as someone who actually bowls, I can tell Paramount knows jack shit. How does Wade or his dad just casually end a bowling tournament with a perfect 300? You have any idea how RIDICULOUSLY hard it is to do? If that were true Wade should have just quit his job as a deputy and became a pro bowler. If he can do it so easily he can top Jason Belmonte any day.
Also, I know having items in bowling balls is a thing, but as far as I'm concerned, I don't think a teacup model serves as an off-centered core capable of making the ball curve to nail strikes. Probably good for straight shots, but not for curved. Bowlers have multiple balls for a reason, each of which basically caters to a different scenario.

In Japan it’s actually just called Chaotix. If I’m recalling correctly, Knuckles was only added in because of his popularity in the west, and therefore increase the game’s sales.

A good point I've heard is that Wade seems like he was written like a sitcom character designed around a music cue to laugh at the hahas, but the music never comes and it just ends up being awkward.
