There’s also a Czech village in Serbian Banat that’s called Češko Selo(which literally means “Czech Village”) and with 39 Czech inhabitants it’s the only settlement in Serbia with a Czech majority population. It’s really small but they have a small museum and a really nice church and they’re really trying to keep the village alive

heeey, thanks for putting Romania on the map! I didn't know we have Czech minorities, only Slovak. This video makes me want to visit that part of the country, even though it's kind of inaccessible. Greeting from Cluj-Napoca, in the neighbouring region of Transylvania!
PS: if you consider visiting let us know, Romanians will definitely take you out for a beer

Amazing! You should try to visit Češko selo (Česká ves) in serbian part of Banat (Банат). It is the only settlement where Czechs make majority of population. Also in Bela crkva you can find Czechs there too!

I love this! Where did you get the "Banat" shirt? I am from a Serbian village in Romanian Banat .. There are many Czech/Serbian/Bulgarian/Hungarian, etc. villages in Banat, and they actually have an interesting history...Especially during the communist regime - I encourage you to research the "Baragan deportation".
    Cheers!

Good video especially for me as a Romanian living in Prague who really enjoys your videos. Just a few notes: It’s not “thousands of Km away but merely 800 from Prague to those Czech Villages”. Second, Transylvania and Banat were never part of the Balkans, neither physically, not culturally. Wallachia and Moldavia can be considered culturally as “balcanic” as they were were Ottoman Vassals for 400 years, but even them are not part of the Balcans geographically. We love the nations in the Balcans though, just needed to be specific. Also good job for everything you guys do!😇
