- This is the way my mom used to make a fresh blackberry cobbler. It turns out so juicy and it's wonderful when served warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. I've listed the ingredients below and I hope you'll try this recipe. If you enjoyed this video, please give me a like and subscribe to my channel. Please feel free to leave a comment. Happy to hear that you and your husband recovered and were able to see your kids! I bet there's plenty of great food when you're together! I've not seen a cobbler made this way before. It looks delicious, Elaine!
Hey there Denise. My daughter had a cookout while we were there and there was a TON of food. My SIL has a smoker and he did a pork butt and my daughter cooked up a storm and I made my old-fashioned banana pudding. Doing a bottom crust on a cobbler is a very old southern way of making a cobbler. I hope you try this recipe, you won't be disappointed. Thank you so much for stopping by!
I loooove blackberry cobbler! Does the bottom dough need to pre-bake?
It's not necessary to pre-bake the bottom crust, at least we never did. We've never had an issue with the bottom crust becoming soggy, but if it's a concern, it wouldn't hurt anything if you wanted to. Thanks!
