  • We upgraded our Polaris Ranger 1000 to 28x10R14 tires and wheels with no lift. The factory Polaris Ranger 1000 tires are ok but this quick upgrade is incredible in looks and performance. The 28" tire upgrade added one inch of ground clearance over the factory tire.
This upgrade did not require a lift kit and we still have about 1.5" clearance at full lock when turning. This Polaris Ranger tire and wheel upgrade is the easiest thing to do for more ground clearance. The Journey W350 28x10R14 tires have already proven how tough and durable they are when climbing hills and hauling corn. The traction on these tires is incredible and they are 8 ply rated.
The Vision 550 wheel is really nice and Journey W350 tire upgrade is perfect on the Polaris Ranger 1000.

I have the crew model and am curious on how the machine performed power wise? Also, do you have an idea how much the new wheel/tire setup weighs?

Hi. My driving is down dirt roads that are very muddy in the winter and down into deep hollows in the woods. I’ve had it loaded with at least 800 pounds of seed and corn over the past year and I haven’t noticed a drop in performance. Because of how I use the machine, it’s rarely in high gear. I think the power and low end torque of the 1000 overcomes the extra height and weight of the tires. I’ll try to get a weight of tires/wheel but I don’t think it’s more that maybe 15-20 pounds each over stock. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in that size, I have had them on for about a year and love them.

Hi. I really like that size tire. I was just riding my machine on Saturday.

What's the weight difference between stock and new wheels and tires? Added weight puts more strain on your drive train. That concerns me most.

    What offset are the wheels?

Hi. I check with my friend that works at the tire shop. They 14x7 offset 3. They do not come so far outside the wheel well that mud is flying on you.
