I think you had the true Tiger P experience. Never understood 4 stars for it's gun, total troll, 3 at best even with this buff IMO.

For me it seems like some guys have a good gun handling on specific tanks and some guys have the opposite. For me, for example, Leopard 1 feels the same like Tiger P for Skill in the first game, gunhandling wise. I switched equipment and testet everything, but the shots hit everywhere in the circle. It's just depressing.
Funny this. I would agree that that gun is 4*, that tank so far has treated me well.

That's one bad side of having small reticle.
When you're getting bad RNG, it's even worse because you feel like your shots go everywhere but not where you aim.
If you have default reticle, you will see those shots as far way from fully aimed and even when you fully aimed, the reticle is still so big that makes you think you have small chance of hitting the target.
I had a 60% WR in this hog before the patch. I'm either going to go to 80% with this thing now or down to 40%. I have no idea which.
59% before and I'm a 48% overall kinda guy. Not sure what to expect either. I hope the buff doesn't break the spell.
Perfect video, just as I remember this tank, 100%, lol. For me the problem of tiger p isn't the armor, it is the gun. The dispersion of shells is insane, and lack of DPM was horrible. It's still really bad tank. At the other hand, tiger h was one of my favorite tanks in the game because of its amazingly reliable gun.

I would say the armor buff realy help along the little hp boost against tier 7 and lower but it still paper against tier 8 like most of the tier 7
Tiger P has been great for me (before buff), forces to generally play sniping, always there's someone who doesn't know how to pen and bounces front hull. Have triple marked it, unlike IS, Tiger I, T29.
55% win rate in my Tiger P, these days I use full mobility setup - improved rotation, turbo, grousers. I had always thought it was under rated; it helps me do something right.
First game is how half my WoT games went lately until I uninstalled the other day, bastards at WG 👎

It was one of the best Tier VIIs in the game before it received its HD model. That's when Wargaming decided to strip out half of the turret armor. I guess it only took them about *8 years* to decide to add it back.
Not sure why the Tiger P still has 240 alpha with the same gun the Tiger 1 gets 280 alpha with.
That rng in the first battle was horrible, just never seemed to go anywhere it was aimed. Glad to see this buffed though, as it was definitely left behind when Tiger I was given the ROF buffs years ago.
Cool, I had to buy the To get P back to get back on the Maus line!
Would be nice to know if changing the improved aiming unit for vertical stabilizers will make gun-handling a bit more playable. Subject for a next video, perhaps?!

SKIIIEL! Are you still using the smaller aim circle mod? Then thats probably why you feel like the rng is trolling you, remember that the shots often go all the way to the edge now. I think it takes a while to get used to, am struggling myself. Makes you wanna snapshot alot more than you should.
Back when i play this porsq was the one of my first pure heavy tanks and slow as snail XD but i can tank almost even tier 8's every game is so casual to block 1500-or more i think i should buy this tank again.
I played tiger p on first day of update, got my 2nd mark easily it was very nice day but also strange as my 4x ace tanker all in higher tier games and got caco in the lower tier games
When someone is average player this game and that MM when you can hit nothing make me crazy. You can't chillout after work playing this
I remember grinding the Tiger P out during its last Tech Tree showcase and I didn't enjoy its clumsiness.
The gun accuracy is somewhat troll-ish, but the biggest pain point was the bad DPM was horrible compared to the Tiger I which received some love.
It looks more playable after this buff. But it is not something I want to back. However I swear to Banana Lord the VK45.01A after the Tiger P is even worse to grind.
I kinda liked the Tiger Pee before the buff ... I'll have to try it again now.

you should get used to the smaller reticle size, it means the shell landing point will be more evenly spread

No it didn't. It was 2.78 before the patch and it still is 2.78
Didn't get worse, it was always garbage. Probably WG's way of balancing it cause the armor was actually strong like 10 years ago.

Oh look. That first game where every shot Skill takes against the IS either misses or bounces is literally how over 60% of my games go when I'm shooting at enemy tanks!!!

Those bounces you were getting Skill, was my night last night, RNG saying F U! Not tonight sunshine. Had 1 game in my SU-130M were at around 100m with the reticle fully aimed in on his front hull plate, and a full green dot, I got the "No Penetration" message 4 times in a row! Not a "Bounce" or "Ricochet", but "No Penetration"!! And he was stationary when I shot at him. When this happens, I know I'm not supposed to win this game. My last 5 or so weeks have been like this. It's just RNG BS!
Usually I can handle this to a degree, as I usually do my bit with damage & kills, but after 5 games last night, and only 1 win, where I did bugger all, I logged out shaking with frustration. I was SOOOO close to uninstalling the game. It was that bad a night. I know you can have bad nights, But the last 5 or so weeks have been like this! It's just RNG BS!!!
I have had the same thing happen many times, everything you talked about. There are some things going on in the game, that everyone experiences, but only the developers know about, and everyone just calls it RNG. To keep the win rate of everyone near 50% you have to tweek things. There's no way I'm a super warrior one game and a noob the next over and over. I finally after playing a long time just decided this is not a game of skill, it's a team game. When tanks work as a team, they can win, when working as individuals, it's a long hard road. Looking at it this way helps, at least it does me.
@@xblastx1956. I'm hearing ya xblastx1956. You know it not you but the game, when in one game you can't miss the pixel shots if you tried, yet can't hit a barn door tied too the front off your gun in the next. I know it's a team game, but when that happens, it's nothing to do with team play.
Tiger 1 is more of a medium glass cannon, Tiger P tho… You have some armor which can be useful occasionally when u go around the corner
Don't worry Skill. It's not that bad. I have such an RNG in almost every second battle and that's why I am not playing and would prefer to watch You playing 😁
The 8,8 is cursed because my jagdtiger8,8 sometimes it decides not to act right some battles and my shots go out the aim circle.
Just bought it yesterday as top of the tree.

The problem is the IS has great gun handling for the alpha. Tiger (P) has the same gun handling but worse alpha although more accurate if fully aimed. Tiger (P) is still crap imho.

That first game, Skill, Tiger P has novelty gun can't hit IS weak points or jagpanther, at all. Still beats an ace tanker out of them. LOL.

That first game no joke is how my guns handle every fucking game. It is messed up, glad its not only me. But to see him react like hes not used to it makes me wonder. They do fuck with RNG for some players. I have about 50% hits of where I aim like in these exact situations this is exactly what my gun does fully aimed. Not sure why that is for me but there you go. And doesnt matter what tank I play.

1) Sub-caliber projectiles against the IS turret.
2) Half the time you didn't wait for the gun to be fully engaged.
The game deceived you only by 50%. The other 50% is yourself.
I saw in first battle the good behavior of the gun.
It's not perfect, but somewhere between "average" and "good".
Gun is same funny random-clown as 4 years ago, when I played this thing last time..
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel that RNG overall had been worse recently. I’m getting a lot of shot miss when more than 3/4 of the reticle is over a tank….it’s insane.
Tiger P was one of my Favorites in 2017, When used well she could bully all t7 heavies, She started to really struggle vs T8

empty space? its a weakspot and its hittable! Hit the cupola will damage the tank you can also hit the commander. I dont know why would you say its an "empty space" on a tank? A lot of tank commanders will die in real life of head shots without that upside down steel bucket welded by tank engineers with holes cut on the sides to see 360 view without risking their heads outside in battle
At the end of the first game, no one wants to mention the conspiracy theory that when your team is down and you are fighting more tanks than in your group or alone fighting multiple tanks, a morale killing algorithm kicks in that makes you miss, bounce and take critical hits to the point your just totally ineffective .
Lol, I haven't been playing or following WoT the last few years. But it took WG THIS long to buff Tiger P? Blitz already solved the Tiger P issue half a decade ago by buffing the shoulder and turret face armor so that Tiger P actually has some armor to work with. The lower plate and cupola are still weak spots, so lower tiers can still deal with it. Tiger I still has a better gun, so is still worth playing too. Simple solution, obvious from the start, should have been implemented around 10 years ago in WoT.

The first game was not special regarding gun accuracy, Tiger P accuracy is always like that. If you don't aim fully it always misses.
I think you missed the Shots because of using the Reticle-Mod!
But Skieeeeel, there is a gentleman CC who has this saying: "stats of the tank don't matter, until you actually take it on the battlefield and play it". 🙄 And it seems he is right, it's not a conspiracy theory this time 🤣🤣
This rng is why I'm just about done with this game. I play very rarely, and when I do, over half of my games are this with fully aimed shots. I'm only average, but it makes games impossible for me.
Always makes me laugh when people say to aim better.

Regarding the rng in the game. I believe it is weighted to allow for new players to survive a bit longer. I allways check the enemy stats when I miss a lot and allmost always they are sub 47%...

Aahhh Tiger P, once upon a time when gold ammo was still gold and not special, and those nasty IS ruled tier7, i loved to smack those p*ussy IS right in the face like there was no tomorrow. Everyone backed up when IS showed up, my Tiger P made them fear the almighty 8.8

that is the RNG I get all the time - my 152K with 329 gold gets nothing over 90% of the time - I bounce 99% of shots on light tanks with it -
The first game is a clear example of what happens when WG says "no". A pity.
Combine that gun performance and how slow this tank is, I can see some real stinker games for Tiger P.

Skill, if the algorithm has decided you are on the losing team, then you will very rarely win.
It's why I hardly play anymore, your videos still keep the dream of winning alive but the owner of WG wants battles to be over quick.

Westfield in a heavy with arty is just complete waste of time. The area you are fighting in has you constantly splashed, missed for xxx damage and stunned (which makes fighting pointless as it's even more of an ring fiesta).
Tiger p used to be good then got nerfed now back as it was before
This looks like the old switcheroo, buffed paper stats, nerfed hidden stats. 1 battle maybe unlucko but you had three bad battles, that handling needs to go down in stars, while protection goes up. I don't remember the gun ever being so horrible. I bought it because I assumed it was better because I saw thumbnail on this video and now I feel very mislead. It has BZ 176 levels of aimtime. Damn I hate this game sometimes.
Disgusting accuracy - nothing changed here, just as I remember it. This gun was always like this, so I'm confused with your good opinion about it.
Never been big fan of the tier 7 tigers, but i love the tier 6 tiger an japanese tiger.
Maybe I'm just Tiger-bias, but I think it should be tier6 not 7. Or maybe I just always get screwed by the matchmaker
So far it looks like WG is "rebalancing," tanks, when they really need to fix their garbage RNG.
