I LOVE this almost muted autumnal color scheme.
I’m laughing so hard “it’s poopy” 😂😂
I felt so bad when it slipped.
Oh I have that Moroccan mint tea on the way! ( it’s going in my Father’s Day gift )
So I'm curious how you like it!
Very pretty colors! This Kobe #23 and Colorverse-red-ish are my favs, must write them down.
Don't come for me- I'm the only one who isn't a fan of Solferino 😂 We had at school these fine colorful marker/pens (Stabilo , only the fine ones back then) in every color and the most-used one from all was a color similar to Solferino.
Good choice!
I think only the Scabiosa and Salix are iron gall from Rohrer & Klingner as far as the coloured inks. I used Scabiosa for over a year in my Moonman Wancai and had no problems. I probably would not risk it in a gold nib. It didn't stain the clear acrylic, but that pen is polished on the inside. The colour of the ink changed over time, which was fascinating.
I have an iron gall ink in my Leonardo with a titanium nib, I wonder if that is safe
@@Desert_Inkwell I think it is fine in titanium nib. I would just clean the pen and nib after a month or so to be on the safe side because of the sediment. Also supposed to use vinegar and not ammonia? Double-check that last bit.
Oh good that I found your comment, I like that color so much but am afraid of using iron gall ink. Did you use your pen daily when it was inked? I have some that get less love and are used perhaps every 7 days...
@@MrsAlchemist me?
@@Desert_Inkwell sure , the more opinions, the better! How often do you write with your Leonardo?
When I looked it up, Solferino means "Moderate purplish red". Lol you cracked me up when you do something backwards.
Thanks so much for sharing!
I have heard iron gall inks can destroy parts of your pen, but I don’t know that for a fact. I don’t know that I would want to take a chance though! I love your videos and I’m so excited when I see one post 😊
I have heard that too. But in a recent "overlooked brands" video Drew talked about Rohrer & Klingner irongall and that they have nothing in common with old formulas. (Not sure if that would hold up in science). However, Scabiosa is not an irongall ink.
I bought the Diamine “seven wonders of the world” they were all rather drab and then one super blue” they were not wonderous indeed
Yeah, they were so light in general!
Sailor Tea Time Moroccan Mint Tea reminds me of Platinum Citrus Black. This is a Irongall ink from Platinum, pretty dry and also looking like dirt. I first couldn‘t decide if I love or hate it. It's such an odd color.
Yes, but just in the beginning. Citrus Black will become legible whereas this one stays light.
The long pause before “poopy”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ah yeah. I had a quick thought of "what if someone is offended by this because it's their favorite ink".
I do it by brand also and then in color order within each brand.
I'm not really referencing my rolodex at all - not sure if that is just temporary ... but when I do I find all the things so much easier.
Solferino is in Italy ... and is I think the battle Henri Dunant came across and created the red cross from. Or something like that.
I did not know that this is an actual place. Thanks for sharing!
Absolute pleasure 😊
Add it to the Mordor pile.
We are going to have a fire that can be seen from space.
I still have not mastered my kakimori nib. I’m bad with ink, if I like the color I buy a bottle and then if I don’t like it I wait a few months to see if my opinion changes or if a pen comes along that is a match. If not, then I sell it off or give it away. I appreciate your more disciplined approach. Except sheening inks that take ages to clean like organic studios. I usually get mad at those and throw them out.
My Kakimori nib seemed to behave better the longer I used it, as if it had a break-in period.
Hahaha. I'm only disciplined in theory.
I had a similar experience - not sure if it actually needed that break-in period or if I just adjusted and learned how to use it.
With the exception of Peter Moss and Buttered Popcorn, I really dislike Ferris Wheel Press. I no longer purchase any inks from this brand.
I have never purchased any inks from them and will not based on the mostly bad experiences I have had.
