Thank you once again for sharing your experiences with us. It's a pity about the Scribo. The Lamy and ink are a great combination.
I hope that you have a wonderful time with your visitors. It's always enjoyable to have family visit with all of the catching up and reminiscing.

Simone, I feel so validated by your comments. I also had very high expectations when I purchased my Scribo Frel and I honestly never reach for it. I spent more on that pen than any other in my collection, but I don't get that feeling of joy and amazement that I get from my Pilot Custom 823, my Pilot E95s, or some of my Sailor Pro Gears / 1911s. I saved so long for the Scribo and love the aesthetics of it so much that I can't bring myself to sell it...yet. I also don't prefer a piston filling pen with no ink window, as I never know how much ink is in it. I need to experiment more and try to find that perfect ink that will make the Scribo a joy to use. There are some people who adore them and I'm sure yours will find a home if it hasn't already. This is a good lesson in the dangers of high expectations.

I submitted my pen to the Virtual Pen Show and hope that it sells. I'm so sorry you had the same experience. It's one thing to be disappointed by a $30 pen, but this is just so much money that feels like it went poof.

@@seemownay I agree -- it's a big investment. I'm past the point where I can spend that much on a pen unless it's for a special occasion. Yours has a gorgeous resin and I'm sure someone will treasure it.

That Wearingeul situation is perfect for journal entries you may not want people to be able to read, yet you want to show on social media. I always use lighter inks when I journal on a plane so my seat mate can't read it. I have had people try. I am inspired by you to give my pens a hard look and keep just the ones I love for various reasons.

I really liked the Lamy Crystal Ink and surprisingly the Wearinguel too thought I'm not really a yellow person.

You really are inspiring me to hold off buying pens and explore what I have more. Sadly I have pens I have only inked up a couple of times and I need to spend more time with those.

I had a lamy crystal ink also to use with my lamy 2000 but was also so dry (in comparison to iroshizuku inks)! I have yet to try my lamy2000 with another ink since..
