- I was so inspired by @ChrisSaenz13 and her "you can only keep one" videos that I decided to jump on board and go through my bottled ink collection. This was especially timely as I want to use all of my bottled inks this summer for my summer project. I found a lovely rainbow of favorites and am excited to start using all these inks.
Have you done something similar? Even if this is just a game and I'm not getting rid of my ink bottles (except for four that I have already rehomed successfully), this exercise was so helpful in making me excited about my inks.

Interesting experiment! I should do something like this where I only ink the bottles I've never used. I do pair inks and pens for life, or at least colours and pens. If I hit on a perfect combo I like to stick with it.
So fun! I probably have ~25 ink bottles with 7 more on the way (I went a little crazy over memorial day weekend.) Most brands I only have 1 bottle from, except for Diamine and Pilot.
I have been looking for soft kitty warm kitty if you want to do a trade or something. I am so happy you were able to grab Lennon Tool Bar Oyster. If you like Writer’s Blood, it works in Platinum preppy/PERNAPEP pens. I love this color and ancient copper. If you like dark olive greens, Dominant Industry Tuna and Olives is amazing(it is a Wonder Pens exclusive). I have way too much ink because ink is cheaper than nice pens. I am afraid to count. I have a few pens that I only use with one color, but I mostly just do whatever.
I just ordered the wonderpens exclusives, but they were out of Tuna! I’m excited to get the rest tho!

I have been accumulating inks samples and bottles since this past winter. Until then, I only used waterproof and water resistant inks... Two weeks ago, I swatched and counted all of them. I now currently have 152 ink samples and bottles🤭 Many inks I haven't put into pens yet...
Sometimes, I buy ink samples to find a specific color that I think is a perfect shade for that color representation. Sometimes, I would like to have a specific ink a pen forever so I will always know what color is in what pen...
I have several dedicated pens for specific inks... So yes, I pair inks and pens... maybe that way I don't have to remember what the pen is inked with... I think I have like 40 inked pens currently... I haven't counted them lately...
Sometimes, I buy pens because the ink inspires me and sometimes it's the pen that inspires the ink.
I do think I have gotten smarter, I now only try to buy samples of inks I want to try; and I try to stay away from buying full bottles of inks I may not like... and there are so many inks I want to try on my wish list....

Did you try already inspired blue? -It flowed of my dip pen in big blobs on paper, so I’m hesitant to put it in a pen….
So far I have only 2 pens with dedicated inks and they have a special purpose in everyday life.
Other than that I like to color-match pen and inks but sometimes a dry diva like the 3776 doesn’t like a „normal“ pink ink so I’ll go with the wet KonPeki.

I don't have a specific goal to marry pens and inks, but there are a few pens and inks that I've "married" to one another. I have to really love the ink AND it has to be just the right match with the pen. I have 3 pens married to 3 inks. All of the others are still dating. HAHA.
