Tour pack looks great. Would be nice if Advanblack would come out with bigger (evenly sized) top closing hard bags like the roadglides & streetglides 👍🏽

I was "THIS" close to getting an LR-ST instead of two new bikes, and this was my plan, since I had a King pack from AdvanBlack already...just swap the rack with one that'd fit the LowRider. Really neat to see it actually being done and how it looks. :)

Nice video. I have a 2018 Heritage Softail Classic in Vivid Black that I love to ride. There are so many things you can do to it. I've added quite a few accessories to it, like a tour pack, Vance and Hines pipes, passenger H.D. Dominion handgrips, footboards, etc. and had it upgraded to a stage II (crazy amount of torque). I like the looks of the ST, but after adding a lot of accessories to my bike I really like the way it looks. For an older guy like me, the Softail is so light and nimble. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable ride 2023!
Another great video. I have a Road Glide Special and a Street Glide but do see myself transitioning to a softail, probably a ST similar to yours in a couple of years to go lighter. Unfortunately, I'm not getting younger. BTW, the easiest way to do the locks is simply have them rekeyed. I have had several done locally in Syracuse from a lock smith. It can be done easily. Keep up the good work.

I have a quick detach king tour pack for my street glide for longer rides. Usually pack stuff that is light and I may need to get to quickly. Such as a jacket or rain gear. When we go cross country I can even fit my full face in there. So nice to have the extra storage

Looks great! I use a heat gun to soften up the loctite and it’s far easier and less likely to strip bolts.
Make sure you get your quick release lock for the tour pack!

Great job, I added the King tour pack to my 2018 RoadGlide couple years ago with the quick detach. personally I think the bikes look so Sick without the tour packs,HOWEVER, I love my tour pack, I always use it for extra gear, groceries, helmets, just stuff! just found your channel, love this vid. I”ve been evaluating bikes, the Road Glide vs LR ST. The Low Rider is about 100lbs lighter, but tour frame has “better” suspension… thanks this was really helpful.

Looks good Ms.Heather…. If you plan on taking long trips and rely on your tour pack for safety, between you and Anthony may want to come up with a way to lock your tour pack bracket in place as well. I had my your pack lifted using similar device on my Ride.. Made a locking device myself so would not interfere with movement while ridding and scratching fender..
Good point! Would hope someone wouldn't take the whole tour pack but I guess I'm not surprised! I'll definitely take a look and see what I can come up with before we take any trips with them!

Great install! I just found & subscribed to your channel. Just a small security tip for your pack, I used a zip tie before the push button release on the tour pack bracket. You will have to cut the zip tie to press the button, it’s also hidden from sight. I also installed custom dynamics tour pack top mount led light on my Advanblack tour pack for extra visibility. Ride Safe!

I have the king pack coming for my ST. Looks good! Funny about our side bags, you tell one is bigger than the other when looking at them, but when packing them, it feels like their both the same size as the smaller one lol. At least that’s how it feels for me.

Know you commented a year ago lol, but I just bought an ST and thinking about getting a tour pack. The king size doesn’t look disproportionate to you? That’s the only concern I’d have, if the big one looks goofy on this bike. The chopped looks really good, razor seems too small to me
@@tomoates8568 it’s subjective really. I don’t think it looks bad at all, but I do think the smaller back rest would look better than the one with the elbow rest. I went with the king size due to lots of jackets worn in the morning but not in the ride home and my work bag with laptop and lunch. I needed/wanted the room.

The reason why those bolts were hard to turn off Heather is who ever put the blue loctite on did overkill on it. Awesome install & it looks great

The bags look great but they aren’t big enough as you mention. But there’s another problem with these bags where the whole side opens up and that’s when things can move etc and then make it so the bag can’t close. It would be better for the top of the bags to slide open somehow or lift open from the top. Although this would cause another issue if you fit the tour pack box lol. A few issues and the whole ST bike even tho I love the idea just isn’t one thing or the other IMO.
You know what happens when you assume? You make an educated guess based on limited information! XD

If I'm riding solo I just use my bar and tie a bag to it. If I have my woman, I just use a luggage rack and a nice leather motorcycle travel bag.

Did you have to get the mounting bracket hardware?? I have a Sport Glide and looks like you only need to use the rubber spacers.. wasn’t sure if it came with this by themselves?
I'm having trouble installing the mounts for the rack on my ST. I finally called tech support and sent them the pictures of what I had. They said I needed to use longer bolts that I would have to buy locally. Even the stock bolts were to short. Were you able to install yours with just a mix of stock and Advanblack parts?
Beware of thieves that will take rack and locked case together in seconds.

Question on your license plate. I am not sure if it is the angle of the camera, but is your license plate still visible when the tour pack is on? I dont really need a reason for a cop to pull me over.

I have a question…. I want to get a sissy bar also… obviously they can’t both be on at same time… but can you do a quick swap with no tools? I want to be able to ride around with the sissy bar… but the. Be able to take it off quick and then put the tour pack on the same way
I believe you can get a quick release sissy bar - but I'd just double check the spacers will work for the one you pick. I would imagine they do, but I've never had a quick detach one so I'm not 100% sure.
Are those the same Harley spacers as you would use for the Harley sissy bar?

Thanks! It depends on how much you need/want - the bracket is 159, and then it depends on the tour pack, if you want a liner, etc. Check advanblack.com they have all the options there!
Can you fit a helmet in the tourpack?
Not a full face in this one, but you can in the King tour pack!
