I go backwards. Bought a Limted I run as a better than regular street glide. My tour pak has been on 3 times since I have owned it...but it came in really handy on a 2400+ mile road trip I just got back from last week. I got plenty of bags, but having waterproof, lockable storage is really nice when exploring off the bike for a few hours. Plus the huge amount of camping gear I took... it was really luxurious. The RG looks good with it on as well... I just like my bike like my lady... small on the back end, lol.
Just an FYI, you can remove the barrel lock and take the lock and your stock Harley key to a lock smith and the barrel lock can be reconfigured to your Harley key. No need to go to Harley and buy a new barrel lock cylinder. I have done this with aftermarket cylinders when converting late model saddlebags to a 13 and older FLH. I use a lock smith, security company in my central NY location but any competent lock smith will be able to do it.
I actually just ordered my chopped tour back last week. The picture of the billiard red looked very burgundy but hopefully it matches with the OEM HD paint. I have heard that advanblack tour packs have issues with shaking and does have some issues with quality but I wanted to give it a try anyways. Hopefully I'm not disappointed.
This one was pretty informative, I have already installed stretch saddlebags on my 01 Road King I've got a fairing for the winter here in Florida 😆, and been struggling trying to decide if I want to put a tour pack on just for added storage, you just help me decide that I'll be ordering a tour pack tomorrow.

Nice stuff, but hellaspensive when you add up all the pieces needed to complete the project. I know 2 people who had the quick release mechanism fail to lock correctly, and no, the company did not step up to help the situation. Another buddy priced out the parts to add the tour package and traded his bike in for a factory loaded bike. Might also want to note there is no means to lock the unit to the mounts on the bike, meaning someone could potentially just steal the entire thing with your stuff in it.
The razor looks good but if you really wanted storage from traveling why not go with the King or chopped tour pack? I have a King but only put it on when traveling, having a razor for around town might be a good idea.
Between both of us there’s plenty of room! He carries his stuff and the computers - whatever can’t get wet. I carry my stuff in my Leather Pros and a duffel bag and we had some space to spare!

Hello, advanblack is telling me the tour pack mounting bracket will only fit a size 150 tire. My 2021 fxlrs tire is a 180, what size is the tire on your bike?
no thread lock? I had some saddle bags come half off after a thousand miles due to loosening nuts... I use Loctite or some other type of thread lock now on all bolts...
Just curious, would you have had to put the tape material that came with it to go between the shell and the base mounting plate and tape to go between the inside mounting plate too??
I would assume it would - All I needed was the docking spacers - so if you have those I would think so - but I would call/email Advanblack just to be sure - I'm not 100%.

Soooo much room! But you don’t ride together? So, just a suggestion, look at the “solo” quick release for your tour pak Anthony… with a comfortable solo seat. Or heather, find a low solo seat and steal the RG!!!!! I ride with my tour pack on 95% of the time solo and when we throw the kids on the back, I switch up seats and tour paks… I’m spoiled, I have two! Warning- they break -I would not recommend AdvanBlack, spend the little extra money and get Harley Davidson Tour Pak. I bought a Advanblack King tour pak in March, didn't get all the pieces until May and by July, it was broken. The latch completely fell apart and you cannot open the tour pak. I have been corresponding back and forth with AdvanBlack, they were supposed to send a new lock but haven't heard from them on when. It has been a complete hassle and so disappointing. I do not want this tour pak anymore, I just want my money back and this apparently is not an option.
Hey Heather & Anthony. Loved the video on your new Advanblack your pack. There is a lid brace available for the lids, so they open vertical rather than past vertical, which puts star in on the tether. It does require drilling of 2 or 3 holes to accommodate attaching the brace. I ordered my color matched razor tour pak July 8th and it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I have a Midnight Crimson '21 RGS.

The Harley ones are expensive ,but fit perfectly. That was my Scorcher Orange and silver flux. Advanblack don't do two tones.
That looks good. The H-D one is huge and expensive. I don’t want to carry that much in a tour pak, just a jacket and lighter stuff.
