    I didn't bother taking mine out, I just undid the bottom of the coil from the hub and shoved some greese in the top and bottom and wiggled the coil in a circular motion, been on like 2 years now and still fine, also don't forget the rears and tighten the top nuts on 1st install unless ya want ya car to sound like cooking popcorn when driving ✌️

    Great video! Have been trying to figure what the knocking sound was and just found this video, so im gonna give it a try!

    That will only last a while before it gets noisy again. On the underside of that pillowball mount, theres 2 dimples securing the pillowball in. Undo that, then you can actually pack it with grease inside properly rather than just smearing it around the outside

    What's better for a comfy drive more preload and soften the damper or the opposite?

    Hey I have a question maybe you could answer. I just got the bc racing Br coilovers and I’m having some clicking on drive front side. I’m going to try the grease thing, but my coilover is actually getting lower on its own? Any idea what I messes up, or reason this is happening?

      Coilovers or springs will settle over time. BC racing are some expensive coilovers. I would contact them if the greasing doesn't work.

      If maxpeedingrods do some for your vehicle and you are on a budget. Yes!

    *Everyone has this problem with PILLOWBALL SPHERICAL MOUNTS. People fail to realize it's a metal on metal joint that's not meant for everyday driving*

    I installed the same coilovers on my e46 but ive seen people put the rear spring perches on the top of the spring and on the bottom. Do you know which is best?

    • @ryannatsgarage7590
      @ryannatsgarage7590  Před 3 lety

      Hi, thanks for the comment. I put them on the bottom as they have bolt which goes through the hole to secure them in place. Hope this helps.

      @@ryannatsgarage7590 thank you so much for the response i just have another question, did you have any problems with the nuts of rear struts towers loosening after a couple drives?

    • @ryannatsgarage7590
      @ryannatsgarage7590  Před 3 lety

      I did actually. Got a really loud rattling sound. What I did was just tighten them really really tight. As tight as I could. It's been 3 months and they haven't come loose.

    • @ryannatsgarage7590
      @ryannatsgarage7590  Před 3 lety

      Oh you meant the struts sorry. No I didn't. Not since I installed them

    Hey I have Fortune Auto coilovers and something similar is happening just on the front right side when I get close to full lock I will hear pop pop really loud sounds almost just like your video, I was wondering did that noise happen straight out of the box or did it start having an after a while

    • @ryannatsgarage7590
      @ryannatsgarage7590  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey buddy. It didn't happen straight away. Maybe 2 months? Just grease up the ball joints and you will be sound 👍

    Take them off. Suspension collapsed and wrote my car off. Pay a bit extra for better ones. It will be worth. Happens all the time with these
