    Very creative and awesome! I really like the creative phrasing in these ii v's. I would have never thought about using a substitute major ii v phrase a major third apart in the following bar. That's awesome because it brings a colorful tension to the entire line. Nice! I'm getting this download. I also like that motivic phrasing development using the major second intervals from the minor pentatonic scales throughout the full ii v i. Excellent!
    Nice work Ceci! (And I'm a tenor sax player).

    I love your lessons, but I'm also blown away by how flowing and authentic your Jazz playing is . By authentic, I mean just that. Many players sound like they're doing an imitation of Benson, Martin, etc. You sound real.

    Gives me an idea, what can be done with II V I. There must be a million phrases like this for this crucial chord sequence.

  • @cademosley4886
    @cademosley4886 Před rokem +1

    I've always heard about, on the V, using the minor scale a half step up to make an alt scale. But using the minor scale a half step down sounds wild. That'd be like b2, 2, 3, #4, 5, 6, maj7 over a V. Doesn't even have the dom7. Sounded good though. Funny to hear that it's cliche; it doesn't get advertised as much as other cliches.

    hi, really enjoyed your line explanations and tidbits. Do you have any video lessons with tabs showing your effortless fretboard navigation? Also, any more lick examples using a V7b5 construct, either in arpeggiated (bebop#3) or in tritone sub form.
    PS: Neat use of the 'whitfield' hickup (bebop#1)
