- Visible Jump Cuts within a video are usually seen as a problem - a cut that needs to be covered with B-Roll in order to preserve continuity within our editing. However, they say rules are meant to be broken, right?! In this week’s video from the LumaTouch Academy, Caroline shows you some examples of how Jump Cuts have been used in movies as a way of conveying emotion and creating stylistic visuals.

Lumafusion has so much to offer but I really wish you had a speed ramping function as it’s so useful for drone footage and also a fast speed option of more than the current x6. Putting out all these tutorials is excellent so keep up the good work people 👌🏻
Thank you for your support! We will be announcing new features at NAB in April, looking forward to sharing with you.
@@LumaTouchWhen is April? I can’t wait to see what features you will be adding! - Justin Davito
It helps if you "plan" to use them if you talk in a sentence or two at a time.
To me it gives it a better look and it easier to edit out mistakes.
That’s a good tip!
My favorite features is Stabilized Multicam i hope available this feature for android user
Hi there, thanks for your interest. We're excited about offering Stabilization on the Android version in a release in the near future. Multicam will probably be a while longer, as this very feature relies on some hardware/software video handling functionality that's not yet available in all Android devices. We need to be able to offer a good experience to most users, and we continue to explore how we might do that. Whenever we are able to do so, you'll hear about it here first!
Hi. Is multicam editing feature (which has video and audio auto sync using wave form) in Lumafusion available on iphone version? Please answer.🙏
It sure is!
Would be cool to see Luma do a breakdown of an expert video and what kind of editing they would have done to achieve their end result. I really like Casey Neistats style but getting my head around how his edit would look is a bit difficult to get my head round
This is a great idea! I'll bring that to the team to discuss. It'd be fun to create. Thank you!
Thank you! Can you please make a video about speed ramping?
Big minus for lumafusion is that dont have speed ramp :/
Right I’ve been waiting for that for a long time or update
@@Tracksidebench hope that they bring some huge update soon :/

@@LumaTouch we are to... Great. Keep it up! 💪🏻
Ideas for lumfusion
Filter copy / colour copying so you can paste over the colour of a video and add the filter on that video
Masking studio
Motion graphic / 3d studio /chroma key studio
Effects studio
Ai studio
( with certain ai tools like auto cut and video edit ideas which shoes different ideas u can add to your videos )
A luma drive
stickers graphics
More plug-ins
Options
audio auto cut
You can do this already! Select the clip whose color you want to paste to other clips, using the clipboard tool. Then select the clip (or use Multiselect tool--a checkmark in a box--to select multiple clips), tap the Clipboard again, and then tap to turn ON the classes of attributes you wish to paste. If you want your new colors to overwrite the existing ones, toggle "Replace attributes". Bingo! Happy editing!
@@LumaTouch no I meant the colour copying tool were for example a new CZcamsr likes the colour filter on a video so they copy it it’s a feature on Final Cut Pro but idk if it’s a good idea
can you guys please add motion blur? as for the whole video not like a picture or an overlay like what it have now. thanks!
can we get it😅 please that will helps me a lot! thanks
I'm sure you can do a motion blur effect, but you'd have to use effects to do it.
@@smurfettetutorialchannel8248 no it just like a picture above the video. it’s not effective to the clip
@iTzKyojin what do you mean it's just a picture over the video and doesn't affect the motion in the clip. Are you using android or ios?
@@smurfettetutorialchannel8248sry im not that good in English but for example cap cut motion blur effect the clip and make it smoother, but in lumafusion its like a filter or an overlay looks like a picture, it doesn’t make the clip smoother
I do jump cuts on my videos but they are really bad I’m still learning how to edit 🙁
Keep practising and you’ll get there - lots of training on our CZcams channel!
@@LumaTouch than you for the motivation #luma4Lyfe
Nonetheless, it still seems like a lazy and amateur way to hide mistakes. There are better ways.
Love them or hate them - they’re here to stay! It all comes down to personal preference, but it’s interesting to explore how directors use them in films to portray emotions and style the narrative etc - Caroline
