- As LumaFusion Co-Founder and Principal Designer at LumaTouch, Terri Morgan has been at the heart of the development of the new features coming to LumaFusion 5.0. In this video, she demos Speed Ramping and Enhanced Keyframing - two features you can get your hands on in the summer! And yes, that’s iOS and Android!

I love LumaFusion. Continuous updates are very appreciated!
Lovely. I own an iPad Pro and have some video editors like LumaFusion, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Although the last two are desktop class apps, I still keep coming back to LumaFusion to edit videos on my iPad Pro. It’s great software. Keep up the good work!
Lumafusion is just made for the IPad, and it has the easiest learning curve to use the features, that allow real work to be done.
@@peraman2022 I couldn’t agree more.
I love the ethos of lumatouch. I always get the updates even if I hardly use it to support something I think is good. 🎉
Very nice👍🏼 I will certainly use it a lot.
More than 6 video tracks would be nice but this is an incredible video editor.
We agree, and as more devices (particularly on iOS side) have become more capable, we see this likely will be possible in the near future. Watch this space. Thanks for the kind words.
The new speed tool looks amazing, this is what I always wanted with lumafusion. Thanks!
We are really excited about it too! Thanks for the note.
Wow this looks amazing
Looking great!
👍🏻 Sounds great. I'm already looking forward to it. ☀️
Us too! Thank you!
Great new features, looking forward to the release. Is there anything in the works for automated motion tracking functionality?
Amazing features, I have a question though.
With the new key framing will I be able to have an object going around a map following a specific path?
I think the answer is yes but I want to be sure about it.
I have a CZcams channel about traveling and one thing I want to do is to have a map with all the locations I have been to and a little me going from place to place based on what I say in the video.
I’ve built such key frames n map locations in the past. It easiest to create a duplicate, use markup or such to put your arrows n circled locations on n use that as your base layer with others above. Then reveal by key framing away the layer(s) above…
Thanks for the comment I did it too and I don’t want to do it that way anymore.
I believe I will be able to do it with the new features.
It should be very doable if I understand the desired task. If you have detailed questions once you've seen the release, our Support team will be more than happy to help. Thanks for watching!
These are amazing upgrades. Thank you for implementing them and listening to the community. Any updates on text tracking or more transitions?
Hey there--thank you. We recently dropped a bunch of new transitions, and there are more on the way with 5.0. We don't have anything in the immediate works on text tracking, but it's on our wish list. Happy editing!
Is it possible to have the object move along the path with rotation following the path? Or do we type in the numbers in the rotation editor for that? I guess I’ll have more questions once I get my hands on the update and pack, once it comes out.
This is possible, with or without the new Enhanced Keyframing features. We're planning a bunch of interesting content covering different uses, tips and tricks for keyframing, naturally including the new features! Thanks for watching.
@1:50 is it possible to change the pivot point of the object? Now its centered. but especially for this bounce animation it would make sense to have the pivot point at the bottom. this will enable you to ad squash and stretch in a natural way with less keyframes.
An anchor point will be coming at a later time.
This is awesome!! I edit all my CZcams videos on Lumafusion and have been wanting to take them to the next level 🙏🏼🔥
Amazing - we can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Watching this while waiting my iPad to be shipped is making me so excited
We know the feeling!
Here waiting for those Android functions 😎
These features will be available to Android users in the Summer (we can’t wait!)
Does the objects align to path?
Our new Enhanced Keyframing tool doesn't automate this functionality per se, but the controls are meant to make it much easier and more intuitive to create such effects from scratch.
When it will be available on Android?
These features will be available to Android users in the Summer. We don’t have the exact date yet as it is with our Beta testers but we will let you know very soon!
@@LumaTouch Sounds great! 🙂
I hope it will quickly be optimized for the upcoming new iPad Pro !
The new processor shouldn't provide any issues beyond better performance. iPad OS 18 might arrive with some new things we'll need to respond to, but getting LumaFusion working with the new iOS is always top priority.
I would like an in depth explanation of the advanced key framing teels, if possible.
Working on it right now. By the time we roll it out, we should have plenty of material ready to help everyone get going quickly and confidently with the new tools. Exciting times!
can't wait to have it, when exactly is it going to be released
We don't really have a firm release date--we are working hard to make it work as close to perfectly as possible. At this point I think it'll be weeks not months. Thanks for your interest.
When is 5.0 being released for IOS?
Soon. Weeks not months. We don't have a hard release date, but you'll hear about it here (or at the App Store) first!
When is this update coming can’t wait
We're optimistic we'll be dropping the 5.0 update to our iOS version this summer.
Pro user of LumaFusion. I can’t wait for this update.
Brill - thank you for your support!
Freaking finally. Amped to get ramped.
We love that - ‘amped to get ramped’ is our new favorite slogan 😂
I want a luma touch shirt like yours! Luma! Luma! Luma!!
Haha, thank you! We don’t have them for sale but you'll have to come and find us at another event ;)
Noise reduction for grain in videos and masking is what I’m waiting for 😁
Thanks for the note--it's just this kind of user feedback that drives our development priorities. I've logged your comment for our developers. Happy editing!
@@LumaTouch Amazing! Thanks for evening looking into this in the first place, I edit strictly with LumaFusion and these 2 features would be a game changer for me! Hopefully we get them in a future update 🙌
Are you going to implement the automatic skipping of silent, or under certain level of sound, passages? Very useful for youtubers and explanations !
I'll certainly log the request to the attention of our developers. Thank you.
@@LumaTouch Thank you. Since LF has already implemented the ducking mode for two sound channels, you only have to replace the “ducking” for a “cutting and paste” function of the clips !
great engineers
Thank you.
Please! add shadow settings for images and objects with transparent backgrounds!
I think you might be able to click on an image n then drag that into the shared folder;thereby cutting out the background. “Maybe” you could shadow from that.
@@HarveyCarrollJr no, I mean the "drop shadow" function
This actually exists already.
1 = add title
2 = double tap title clip
3 = above “YOUR TEXT HERE” on the right, click + then image
4 = import image and then add shadow like if it was a title
@@joealley0 I did this once, but it’s very inconvenient when you’re editing a video with a lot of images
@@PcixMix
solutions
A
1. save any random image with drop shadow as a preset, after adding shadow hit ⭐️ icon on the right.
2. When you next need to add image with drop shadow, select random image with shadow and replace.
B
1. Copy and paste 1 image with drop shadow on timeline 10/20 etc times, then just go in and replace “Import Image” with new photo. Every new photo will have drop shadow
Option B is literally as fast as any software that allows drop shadowing
Next masking tool 😅😅😅😅
After 2 years
@arefghazal6081 it doesn't matter how long I have to wait. I want masking hopefully it's not like another 5 years though. But this update is pretty sweet
Hello, sorry,
what is masking tool?
@sfebanista this is what masking is. we have the cropping tool that acts similar to the simple mask. However, it would be cool if lumafusion added a costum mask so that we can define the peramiters ourselves and cut out any shape we want. I'd pay another $20 for a curve masking feature.

@@smurfettetutorialchannel8248 GOT IT, thanks !
What are the chances you create a video CAPTURE/RECORDING app?
Filmic had the world in its hands until they went subscription. We ALL saw how that turned out.
Your editing app is amazing, I would expect a capture app just as amazing.
A fine idea, and we have lots of ideas about things we'd like... but our core passion is editing, and getting human-created stories into the world. Thank you for watching!
Come on... Update, update... 😊
It might take about 6 weeks, they still need to remove a bunch of bugs.
@@Ponk_80 thank you.
On android, still not even 10 bit or hDR support. Android has none video editor with 10 bit support, even though there are powerful video apps who can film 10 bit real log (cineon log or mcraw log) from raw stream, at high bitrate (160+ Mbits), in hevc, vp9, prores, avi and so on. So you can get insanely great quality video, but has no way to explore them without going to davinci on pc.
We are working to address this. The simple fact is to create a product that works at a pro level, but also offers a good experience for users on devices of a huge range of capabilities, is a tall order. Our engineers are zeroing in on some of these issues, and you can expect more good things coming to the Android side in the future.
Is speed ramping still a thing? Old hat now
🤣
