The new enhanced key-frames features are still in beta and wont be out for a few weeks, but I kindly got permission from Androu Morgan at Luma-Touch to be able to show you how to use this awesome new set of tools. Plus; if you have watched my Speed Ramping Tutorial, then you are already in the know as to how some of the advanced key-frames features work!!
Also, you can download the LumaFusion project files and assets for free using the link below so you can practise along with me… 🤗

This is possibly just asking too much but... Since we have the pencil, it would make sense to me that, the user could draw a path on the screen, have the software record the various X and Ys of that path (possibly the acceleration...) and generate a path from that??
Seems like a natural way of doing it..
Nonetheless, have to hand it to them for adding better key frame control overall 👍🏻👍🏻 being and to move the key frames is a massive step up.
I can honestly say that I don’t think pencil input was considered but I will pass your thoughts along to Luma-Touch. Not a too shabby idea either as an avid Apple Pencil user I would love that functionality as well.
This suggestion gets my vote too!
That’s a great idea ! I’d love to see that.
With the power of newer iPads it should be possible to do multi touch automation so you could move multiple layers in real time moving/resizing/fading etc. Would be great for doing music videos.
I don’t disagree. It will be intriguing to see what direction Luma-Touch go with LumaFusion in the near future 🤙 Thanks for commenting.
I like the little highlight that you have on your subtitles.
Thank you gotta give credit to CapCut as I am doing my subtitles within it.
The video layer tip is awesome.
It’s a sneaky wee up date they did that I got shown a month or so ago and could not wait to add it into a tutorial.
@@IAMSTULITTLE it a nice little time saving feature.
Great video, features look nice and clean, although somewhat sophisticated.
If you do more, would love to see
- how zooming in clips looks, like taking a clip from 100% to 125%.
- longer example/ gaps between keyframes so it’s slower to see how animation looks
- keyframe features when cropping, like cropping from half cropped to fully uncropped ease in.
I will see what I can do for you 🤙
@@IAMSTULITTLE Sweet, have the notifications on, looking forward to future videos 🔥
From the looks of it, there doesn’t seem to be an align to path function, it seems that you have to do that manually for each key frame, by using rotation.
It does seem to be a manual path as you say. I am honestly still discovering things about it in terms of usage, so I am going to reserve judgment. Plus, Luma-Touch are still making a lot of changes from when I first used it until now.
Thank you so much for the in depth tutorial, it was very educational. It was nice to see examples of how could be used together with sound. Also I’m glad that you used it for animation, and not something obvious like titles
You’re welcome. I am trying to do some different use cases other than the obvious with my tutorials. Makes them more interesting than just doing titles.
Good vid, can you please tell how you done the text to match the commentary?
I use the auto-captions feature in CapCut, then I go through it all make any corrections that are needed. Although I missed one on this video lol.. Did you spot it?
Would you like to see a tutorial on how I do it?
@@IAMSTULITTLE thanks for the reply. No I didnt notice. Yes if you dont mind a tutorial please. No rush. Ive got notification switched on on your channel, so will see it if and when you do it. Thanks again .
Any idea when this will be released?
Sometime this month is my best guess
Why is it so hard for Lumafusion to understand the idea of "we are here to help you be a better editor for having used lumafusion.." so if someone like me has an idea, at least give them the option of trying, maybe it works....Where is the harm in at least trying???
I hear what you are saying but I don’t think you appreciate the monumental effort it takes to add, subtract or alter features within the app. I have made well over 100 suggestions to Luma-Touch in regard to the way things work and new features, and I can tell you right now that they have maybe picked 2 or maybe 3 of my ideas to implement into the app.
For me thats a really good success rate.
Also, video editing for news is something Luma-Touch do cater towards but its not the core reasoning for the app to exist. So if your ideas are related specifically to news edits then it is less likely to have an impact and be considered. In my humble opinion Luma-Touch are actually really good at listening to their user base and they do make changes that make sense.
@@IAMSTULITTLE That is just my point, create the function, folks will use it, TV news is desperate for an app that is agnostic, it works on phones, laptops, tablets...Both TV, radio, online, print..Please please can you help me?? In my quest..Please??
