Yes no problem as long as it’s on a different track. If you are speed ramping with music on the video then you will need to detach the music from the video so that the speed and pitch of the music is constant.

I have to agree that CapCut does have way more dynamic transitions than LF. What I tend to do is drop 1sec blank clip between clips I want to add transitions to in CapCut then I find the blank gaps easily and add whatever transition I need for the edit.

As I said in the video I don't use too many transitions in LF anyway, but there are some really good transitions in CapCut that are worth jumping over to use.

I agree but I can’t see them doing it anytime soon. I do think they should have an APK for third party devs to make more sophisticated transitions and also add some more features for switching off transitions you dont use and favorite those you do use.

There are still a few bugs that I have seen and I am sure others have found even more. So until they have got a really stable release then we will have to wait. I would reckon mid-June but that’s only a guess. I know they have made some big changes under the hood with this update as the enhanced keyframes works throughout the whole app. So bugs were to be expected.

Out of curiosity, what were you expecting? I know there is a lot going on behind the scenes and I got a taster for some of the new features that wont even be out with version 5 and you will more likely see in v6. I also know that Chris and Terry are looking at implementing a lot more machine learning and A.I. based tools. LumaFusion is a solid NLE and yes it’s receiving stiff competition from CapCut because ByteDance have an endless budget in comparison. But, there are a number of things CapCut isn’t even close to competing with LF on and vice versa… 🤙

@@futgaming yeah same thinking, auto-captions and more transition effects like animation loop are now common, but can't be found in LumaFusion.. I know the LumaFusion is a small team, but there are new apps being released that does a lot more.. more power to LumaTouch team though, keep going!

They are to switch constraining proportions of the X & Y or width and height. Effectively Lock and unlock.

Version 5 is yet to be released and will be coming very soon, my guess would be June now, but I am not quite sure as yet. Shouldn’t be too long either way…

Yep, up to x10 speed which makes things so much better. We will be getting motion blur as well at some point in the future, but not in v5

Thanks 🤙 You can do auto captions in the free version of CapCut. You just have a limited set of styles compared to the pro version. There’s quite a few things I can’t do on the iPad through web apps etc on Safari browser. So I am seriously considering getting a MacBook Pro again.

They don’t snap at the moment but it’s in the pipeline for the next update.

It will be at whatever your video clips native is upon import so 4K, 1080p, etc… If you need to upscale it, I use RunwayML’s upscaling tool to enlarge images.

I can honestly say that I don’t think pencil input was considered but I will pass your thoughts along to Luma-Touch. Not a too shabby idea either as an avid Apple Pencil user I would love that functionality as well.

I don’t think it’s far away but they are still bug hunting at the moment so maybe June? But don’t hold me to that as I am not in the loop with a release date. 🤙
