Love my Huawei GT 3. So much fun capturing my exercises. Love the inbuilt GPs, which tracks my route accurately. Also love a quirky feature of the moon luminance. A feature I never thought I needed. Also the many watch face designs and 22mm straps you can choose from. The battery is also very good. Highly recommend it.

Thanks for the review, Seems about my experience.
I actually had to replace my GTR3 PRO due to a "Random Reboot issue" when I had a lot of notifications.
Replaced it and it is VERY good now, no issues what so ever up to this point, however seeing the new kid in the block, and all the tech reviewers saying "This is the best watch ever" for the GT3, I was double guessing, this review helped a lot thx.

I have a GTR 3 Pro and had the same problem with the watch. It's a pity, because I love this watch and it's the best smartwatch I had. I have replaced it and the same problem with the reboots happen again. I hope it's a software problem and not hardware, like too less memory or something like that.
@@krns1617 Sorry to hear that, I got mine about 3 weeks, maybe I'm lucky, no problem at all.
Huawei has better hr accuracy, mire internal memory AND ECG. Hauwei gt3 is the best Android alternative out there for sports minded people as its almost is almost as accurate as the apple watch, but 5x the battery life.

I have both and the Amazfit looks like a toy compare to the Huawei GT. I like the Huawei so much that I also bought the Huawei GT Runner. Way better sensors, gps and features.

I bought a amazfit Gtr 3 pro but had to return it after a week. I don't know if I had a defective unit or what but, I really didn't like that watch. The screen calibration was weird making the screen feel much worse than the specs suggest. Also, I couldn't get the watch faces to be interactive, no matter what I tried! It is very important for me to be able to interact with my watch face. The battery was more poor than expected, I couldn't keep always on display as it was using a lot of the battery and in general the whole interface felt just weird. I expected better implementation and battery life, 4 days with half things off was way less than I expected!
I like the crown, offline assistant and the all in one measurement. However, these things were not enough to convince me to keep the phone. And I couldn't use Alexa, it said she is not available in my region which makes no sense but whatever, I didn't care about that much. In the end, I returned the amazfit and got the Huawei. Yes, it is missing some things and it is expensive. However, it just feels more well made and is working better overall. The battery is easily a 10 day battery with everything on. Also, I love how the watch reminds me to drink water, I love how the screen and interface look and most watch interfaces are interactive. Again, I don't know if my amazfit unit was off, but I'm much happier with the Huawei gt3.

Maggie...im using gtr 3 pro and i have used 6 days so far with 69 percent left on battery ...with heart rate every 30 min . Sleep tracking and sleep breathing quality...and most important is to turn off Bluetooth when you are not using with your phone .. that saves a lot battery ...also i turned off stress tracking and spo 2 ...so im getting 15 days for sure ...it depends what do you want to use more often.. battery is excellent.. and major udpates are coming soon...i guess its better to have both of this watches cause they are excellent in different way ...

THanks for the review.... In first look seems that GTR3 is the best choice, BUT..... In order to have the best data for fitness and cycling and Reliability, what you suggest? I had a Trex ax sent back after 6 month due to crashes when I was trying to save the training, my fear is that the gtr3 also can have software problems... Or it is more stable then past amazfit?
Another question... Is the GT3 similar to GT2 software in fact of functinoality? Because I remember that was a little gaunt in app store and similars...

Wes ...make a video of data fields customization on Huawei GT 3...how many data fields has per page ...and what kind of data you can choose ..cause gtr 3 pro has many data to choose from and it has 6 data fields per page ..you can customize whatever you want
Can you make a detailed video of calling feature?
Like normally I wear earbuds, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? And during an ongoing call do we have an option to change the audio from watch to phone and vice-versa?

Bought GTS3 based on your videos as a gift for $150. The watch is just awesome compared to competition that is currently out there. Can't wait what apps will be developed as there is some SDK which is already out there for 3rd party developers.

Wish I had watched this video before purchasing the GT3. But I got it for $100 discount, but I could've gotten the GTR 3 Pro for the same price used in super mint condition. I hate the fact that on iPhone you can't control music with the GT3

Yep, but make sure to watch the video on gtr2 vs gtr3 vs gtr3 pro… the sensors between 2nd, 3rd and 3rd pro generations are different as well as some hardware differences, like mic/speakers

To be fair it’s an older gen of watches.. probs won’t buy them.. I’m sure there are other reviews out there.. just maybe not as “brutally honest”🤣 I’m not a fan of Xiaomi watches.. go for Amazfit- a sub brand but way better

Samsung's rotating bezel is way intuitive, the crown is too tiny and finicky 😬

Amazfit requires it only to connect to the app, not for the watch to even work. So, in the end, it's a matter how much your privacy is worth to you?🙂💪

Hey, I bought an amazfit gtr 3 pro after watching your reviews and received the watch just today.
The problem is the display isn’t really that great, it feels like an lcd display, the watch faces and fonts and the icons looks sort of blurry and weird. But in your reviews the watch looks really sharp and clarity seems amazing.
So, Did I receive a defective product or is it the same with your watch aswell?
Very disappointed with the display,had high expectations.

For 2 hours cycling...ive lost 12 percent battery life .. about 20 hours with gps on ...thats max battery performance
In my personal experience, the battery on the Huawei lasts twice as much as the one on the amazfit. However, I haven't played with them side by side enough to have a comprehensive opinion.

Amazfit seems to do amazing looking smartwatch but in comparison to gt3 for the purpose of heart rate sensor for exercise (not static measures) amazfit is just unreliable and is left way behind by new Huawei gt3 sensors. It is shame because I would buy it if they just did better heart rate sensors. For someone who is not interested in serious health tracking while exercising then Amazfit would be better choice. Did you see Huawei Watch 3? I’ve just released a hr test on it.. it’s supposed to be better than gt3.. yet hr on Amazfit gtr3 is better😂
@@WesKnowswatch 3 have older sensor's so I would not expect to be better than gt3. Watch 3 is expensive and not worth money. I really like your reviews but fitness test requires data to be exported from 2 devices and compare average HR won't test anything and amazfit unfortunately doesn't do good job neither majority smartwatches. Top in the list are some of apple watches , Whoop strap and huawei with new sensor.

Gtr 3 pro is missing something very simple think ...no total km ...and when you set to pause automatically when you use gps ...it doesn't catch gps right away ..it has no tracking till some distance ...

Wes ..im a sport junkie..and i used it especially with cycling...so ive set up to manually pause my activity..and when i resume..i wait for 3 seconds after vibration and then start to cycling again
Other think ive noticed is when you do over 10 min pause ..gps is turning off automatically...i guess this is to reserve battery when not detecting movement for longer period ...

Umar, good question 😂 hence the video with all the pros and cons of the watches. You have to decide 😊 it’s an expensive purchase and you make the call. I do think that Amazfit has better overall value😯
