Vegito and Gogeta are constantly pitted against each other in the Dragon Ball fandom - despite the two fusions being - realistically - the same character.
A lot of people argue that one is better than the other in terms of things like personality - which isn’t fair since one of them only says a few lines canonically. Or in more interesting ways - like arguing which has the better design or which type of fusion gives the greatest return in terms of utility and power, but today we’re not comparing the two - rather we’re combining them. So let's ask What would happen if Vegito and Gogeta fused?

If we don't have time limit than whis might get slapped by Gogito. After all, Gogita can defeat Broly who's slapping both Vegeta and Goku ass and keep in mind that Gogita need both person at the same power level so it could work. Meanwhile the potara can fused together even at their fullest power.

I remember Gogito being a very popular hypothetical fusion back in the 2010's in Dragon Ball forums. Gogito was the Potara fusion of Vegito and Gogeta while Vogetta was his Fusion dance counterpart.

I just had a genuine thought on this, if you use the multi-man technique before you fuse, would the clones still force themselves to be fused with the main body? If not then we can have two different fusions active at the same time with the same people.

Great video! one minor thing I thought of was this; the Potara fusion is limited for time for mortals (non kais to our knowledge) but what if it has something to do with God ki instead? the reason Kefla had such a short time was the power output, but since Gogitoku(?) has god ki, maybe the time limit is not affected?
The fusion would be akin to a Protoss Archon, they'd exist for a mere moment in time before defusing.

For the Fusion You could make it like first wearing the Potara Earrings and When you are fusing do the fusion Dance
I personally think that the fusion dance can be done multiple times because it is a technique and technique can usually be formed in multiple times

Vegito or gogeta base, mathematically speaking dwarfs their fusee's (Goku and Vegeta)'s strongest forms, because it's power level x power level, UI is like a 500 trillion x multiplier low-ball, UE is similar to UI in multiplier. Both Goku and Vegeta have a power level far surpassing 500 trillion in base.

And the universe 6 vs universe 7 tornament
Where we knew neither would step in thanks to the nature of the competition
But ir lacked tension anyway
The worst case scenario is them losing
But all that would happen is the 2 earths switching
Nothing bad was happening to the earth regardless
And the broly film had tension because it was broly's movie
The tension was if broly was going to be ok
Beerus ruins the tension in the rival of f movie completely
Lets be honest if goku messed up twice
Beerus was not going to let earth's food go away forever and would have stepped in that time
(His gags about food and him being lazy and bad at his job kinda start to get repetitive but this one is just a personal gripe nothing more)

I’d call the fusion type, Metamotara. I actually did this with a few characters of my own, where they’d throw the earrings in the air, and complete the dance at the exact same time, as the earrings land on the fusies ears, resulting in the most powerful being in this fictional universe.
there actually is a pretty good reason for not being able to use potara, since one of the fusions already has potara on and they probably wouldnt react to the other ones

there's actually one thing you wrong in the timers. Potara's timer doesnt decrease if the fused fighter is too strong, it decreases if he uses too much power. which is what happend in the future saga. Meaning, as long as Gogito (Vegito and Gogeta fusing with potara) dont use too much of their own power, they will have at least 30 mins. (pretty sure Gogeta's fusion inside Gogito would end, we cant know tbh.)
Wish for the fusions to become merged beings. Gogito would become a normal Saiyan, yet retain his power.
the thing about fusion is that its not 2 people sharing a body, its 1 new person made from 2 people, so that could probably help mitigate the timer problem, since Gogeta would basically melt into the new fusion

My head canon is Gogeta have the same rival boost as well, but still always be weaker than the Portara merged counterpart.

if super buu is anything to go by, their power would probably just decrease significantly, since now its pulling from Goku and Vegeta instead of either Gogeta or Vegito
@@TokyoDrift456 With Super Buu, he absorbs people though. They stayed INSIDE him when their timer ran out because Buu himself doesn't have a time. BOTH fusions have a timer, so the fusion wouldn't only defuse because they have no way of holding the other party in them, but Vegito would probably be the one to defuse and leave Gogeta fused either way for the rest of his 30 min

I remember seeing this hypothetical fusion in the early 2010s when looking up Dragon Ball and looked up what the fusion of Vegito and Gogeta would look and be called and found out they would be called Gogito, if I can remember it was two sets of Goku and Vegeta, one did the Potara and the other did Fusion Dance then the two fusions did the Fusion dance to become Gogito and oh boy you should have read the attack names, they were insane.
This fusion could potentially happen inside stuff like Dragon Ball Fusions, Super Dragon Ball Heroes, Dragon Multiverse Manga that has been going around CZcams in the past, basically any Dragon Ball media that can get away with making this fusion work

What's really funny to me is how this fusion would sound. If it's just the two voices of the fusee and both Vegito and Gogeta are just Goku and Vegeta. Would that mean Gogita would sound like Vegito/Gogeta but just significantly louder since you're just overlaying two of the same voice over one another?

I would assume the "equal ki level" thing is only for the dance, so they both got an equal frequency thing and can merge perfectly, but it doesn't actually make it a weaker fusion aside from the lack of rival boost

if A has an power level of 1000 and B has 900, A has to lower his power to match B, therefore, this 100 power its not going to be in the fusion, plus the rival boost doesnt happen, so aside from time limit, potara is superior

2:00 the Dragon Balls only need to be stronger than someone to affect them WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. If they have the consent of the people they're used on, they can affect them no matter the strenght difference. Kibito and Kaioshin WANTED to be separated, so they allowed the Dragon to affect their body.
1:06 actually, we have. Goku implies in the manga that the Metamorans he met in the afterlife fused more than once. He says there was a couple of them, so more than 2 people, and he says "when they fused together", so it's pretty implied that they all fused with each other into one being.
I imagine if, and that’s a very strong if, Gogeta and Vegito had to simultaneously exist, they would realize the few-second time limit to merge, and the tension would be getting close enough to their enemy so they can’t miss the one shot they have.
Few seconds isn't too much of a problem when you can move like duodecillions of duodecillions times faster than light

Honestly, imo, Vegito’s gi looks more like Goku’s, but color swapped as to better represent Vegeta in the merge.
Kibito Kai’s clothing is probably related to body size as Kibito is much taller than Shin. Goku and Vegeta for comparison’s sake, are roughly the same height.
Fused Zamasu’s outfit simply adopts the color scheme of Black’s gi. Additionally, Goku Black and Zamasu are also roughly identical in height.
There was a set of Potaras that were broken into four equal halves and had a double dragon effect but the 4 pieces allowed for a 4 way fusion but the idea was scrapped back in the 90's Akira couldn't figure out who his 4 Dragons(Warrior Z Fighters) were gonna be undertaking the permanent 4 way merger

I had a conversation like this with a buddy of mine while we were driving to the gym. What if multiple characters just kept fusing together? The end result would be just an amorphous blob that can only say "kill me", then destroys the entire multiverse with a sneeze.

I don’t think it’s the power of the fusion that causes the shorter fusion time, but energy usage. vegito used a lot of energy fighting zamasu in blue, especially with the final kamehameha. Kefla likely put almost every bit of energy she had into chucking out tons of random blasts trying to hit goku which would make her defuse insanely quickly. If gogito only used lower energy usage forms like ssj (he probably wouldn’t even need to use anything stronger lol), and avoided dumping a ton of strength into big attacks, he could last pretty long.
1 i swear I heard somewhere that Metamoran fusion doesn't have a person limit.
2 I've never heard of the rival boost. I just thought Metamoran was cheaper for the having to match power levels like you mentioned.
You seem to be forgetting one very important key factor with Gogeta, he has access to Soul purifying techniques such as the soul Punisher which he uses against several enemies in which he charges his ki with an extreme amount of positive energy to gate and or neutralize the negative energy of his opponents.
So like hakai but for evil people exclusively

Fusion Reborn Gogeta and Broly Gogeta are not the same. You can't assume a character has a certain ability just because another version has it, or even if that ability works the same way for both. Otherwise topics such as the anime and manga God forms become a mess to discuss.
"Gogitto" should be the name- I think since XenoVerse modders Already use that name for this fusion

Here's where things can get tricky. There are whole wiki's on both Gogito (Fusion dance) and Vogetta (Potara) and there's also a wiki for Vogito, it's pretty much just satire but if it were possible the way to do it would be to do the fusion dance but right before your fingers touch, both people must blast the potara, breaking them, and causing an infinite fusion. Another Fun fact is that Gogito is permanent, in almost every version of the wiki I can find, Gogito is supposed to be permanent. Just fun ideas that could happen in Heros or fusions.

The main reason I thought gogeta “lasted longer” than vegito was the main reason of raw speed. Gogeta in his first cannon iteration (super broly) has a stronger goku and vegeta BY FAR than the ones of the future trunks arc because of the TOP… plus gogeta paced himself only using the necessary power instead of being blue from start like vegito
Edit: for the ones being stupid in this thread… even if dance multiplies powers instead of adding them like in the past, the powers still have to be equal… there’s nothing saying they are equal in strength just that they are equal which could basically mean that either is good for fought times… you just have to choose the correct one for each situation. Carthu never said raw strength was the problem just the energy used. Vegito still is stronger in extra boost and base to base multiplication than gogeta the only thing is that fusion dance apparently doesn’t run out anymore due to power expense… if it did it would make it useless since it would last less and be weaker so they had to kind of balance them out as tactics but at not point in time was it blatantly stated to give as much power as potara…potara y raw power is and still will be stronger the only thing is that it doesn’t last as long as dance cause of the power usage

It doesn’t matter when you compare them. Vegito is stronger. Earrings multiply their power without either one having to drop their power. Also get a rival/best buddy boost which the dance doesn’t have. There is nothing in the canon to suggest that Gogeta is stronger than Vegito and I’m not sure why this debate triggers people. It doesn’t matter which one is stronger because when either one is brought out they’re going to thump whoever is in front of them.

I mean, Dragon Ball Heroes with Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta is a thing, so you realistically _could_ have a scenario where Gogeta and Vegito fuse, if, say, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta were to fuse into Gogeta, while the main timeline versions fuse into Vegito, they could (assuming fused beings can fuse again) then use either the Potara or Fusion Dance. This would also open up the interesting idea of what would happen if SSJB fused with SSJ4.
I think the only way we can get something similar in the cannon is if gogeta and gotenks use the potara

I just now saw this video, but I have been considering this possibility since the 1990’s
Personally I think the Potara can be used multiple times as long as the ones using them are mortals. Vegito was formed to fight Buu, but then he was formed again to fight Zamasu. This means that if there is any limitation, it's that mortals can't use the same exact pair of earrings to fuse again, but I don't even really believe that. Goku and Vegeta's behavior seems to indicate that they don't see it that way.
The real question is this: Say you combine the two fusions using the dance. This gets you a guaranteed 30 minute timer for the fusion. However, one of the two individuals being fused happens to be a potara fusion, and remains as such while fusing using the dance. So could the potara side of the final fusion actually run out of time and defuse mid-fusion? If so, what would that look like? Would it be the same thing as Goku and Vegeta each separately being fused to Gogeta, or would Gogeta defuse from Goku and Vegeta, leaving the three individuals unfused from each other?
Considering that fusing the fusions is technically just two pairs of the same dudes the secondary fusion would likely remain since the second Goku and Vegeta are still in that fusion even if what they fused into previously is gone
Gotenks unfused after being absorbed by Buu, so I guess it's safe to assume that a fusion can still run out of time after becoming a part of a different fighter

i'd like to think we could remove the aspect of time from this equation if we were to have the setting be in the chamber or in the TOP where they are in a world of VOID. if I am correct I think Picollo mentions when him, Buu and Gotenks are in the chamber that the fusion lasted longer than it should have which could mean the effects of the chamber prolonged the fusion. I have always seen the TOP world to be somewhat similar to the chamber as it is stated to be infinite and I don't think it was ever mentioned if the chamber was infinite but i would hazard it was. So in essence either way these places could extend the limit of the fusions. In the subject of Kefla I think their diffusion wasn't due to time but the fact they were completely engulfed in too much power. I think the earrings breaking was a show of that rather than using it as an excuse like "if they break they diffuse" plus we dont know if the effects of them being eliminated and being transported to the spectator stands could diffuse them.

The elder Kai was not informed properly. Remember, one of the cars from another universe said that for Akai, it’s permanent, but doesn’t mean the Dragon Ball can’t unbound them but for mortals it’s only an hour or less depending on the energy level output.
7:59 I feel like this only goes for base form. With Vegito, his power exertion is his weakness, so he can’t do anything crazy because he has to take time into account. Gogeta’s time limit isn’t dependent on power so he can use the maximum amount of power he wants, so he can do something as nutty as a SSBE Kaioken x20 Big Bang Final Kamehameha and still have, like, 29 minutes to just chill. That’s kinda the thing with their “equal power”, if Gogeta powers up to the max and kills Vegito there, he wins. But if Vegito plays his cards right and outlasts Gogeta, he wins.
Both are stronger than the other in their own right, there’s no clear winner and it really depends on who pulls out their ace in the hole first.
That’s why I feel like if a fight between Base Gogeta and Base Vegito were to happen the the odds would be more in Vegito’s favor, so he doesn’t have to worry about the extreme power extertion and therefore gets the full 1 hour, while Gogeta has to figure out a way to end it in 30 minutes which will be hard because they’re equal in strength. But if Gogeta and Vegito ascend to another form like SSB and above or maybe even SSJ then Gogeta takes the cake

Just take a look at the TOP fights, they make a good example of how fast characters are at this point. An entire fight between the two would probably last less than 5 minutes considering how fast they’d be, and that’s probably a longer time than the Zamasu fight, which means Vegito wouldn’t defuse.

He’ll play around, but once he feels enough is enough he’s gonna go full power (or about as much power as he’d need) and kill them. If they stop to talk shit and Gogeta is stalled, Vegito could walk out the winner. But if Gogeta is given the chance to find Vegito a legitimate threat, Vegito’s getting blitzed since Gogeta can just whip out everything he’s got with no drawbacks.

The fusion dance only need to reduce their power level to synchronize is all about Synchronization , the dance and power level , that doesnt mean the end result is less powerfull because of that
8:08 I got a fix for this. We see in the manga that UI goku and UE vegeta are equal in power despite base vegeta being stronger than base goku. This means UI has a slightly higher multiplier to make up for the difference. Have Gogeta be in UI and Vegito in UE before they fuse to level out the difference.

Something that's been bugging me: What if two metamoran pairs fused and then put on Potara? Separately, Captain Ginyu could do a lot in this. Whether he'd have problems changing with a fusion would likely depend on how Toriyama felt that day.
Well 80% of what he said about the fusion dance was wrong and Gogeta and Vegetto are equal. Gogeta just has a guaranteed 30 minute timer AND he can use his full power.

In theory it’s possible for Goku and Vegeta to use multi-form and separately fuse into Vegito and Gogeta at the cost of half their power. And giving these two Metamo Rings from DB Fusions. Using EX Fusion to create EX Gogito. He’s only at half of his full potential but Gogito would still be achieved

Too be fair, it's not so much as a problem with potara fusion as it is with the super Saiyan power. In the buu saga it's stated that going super Saiyan will decrease the time the lifeform will live. So stack that with the only 1 hour you have with potara with mortals and the super Saiyan transformations decrease their lifespan so much. That's why the defuse so early
Even if it managed to work would Gogeta defuse after the thirty minute time limit? Weve seen a similar situation with Buu and Gotenks. After the time limit they defused snd Buu had to absorb Gohan to gain back his strengh. So even if the fusion somehow became permenate after 30 minuted Gogeta would defuse and it would be a fusion made up of Goku, Vegeta, and Vegito. Maybe?
