In a lot of respects, Beerus is an extremely lazy and complacent God of Destruction. His lack of action while being awake during the events of Dragon Ball Super actually causes many of these events to have very negative repercussions unnecessarily. So today I revisit a topic I did pretty crappily in a live stream - What If Beerus Helped in Dragon Ball Super?
Our story begins after the God of Destruction has awoken and faced the Super Saiyan God. While he seems disinterested in the Universe currently outside of food and battle, Whis suggests they visit the Supreme Kai to establish an understanding of the state of the Universe now that Beerus is awake again. Beerus lets out a massive yawn and says he’d rather just go back to sleep. “Well I guess that could be fine, but should the universe be deemed lacking in your sleep - perhaps it’ll end up like Universes 13 through 18!”
Beerus’ eyes immediately widen and he tells Whis to head to the Supreme Kai immediately. Whis smirks and nods, changing course without a second thought. When they arrive, Kibito Kai and Elder Kai bow.

What if suggestions
What if Ultimate Gohan defeated Super Buu and was the protagonist for the Buu saga. The Buu saga could be an epilogue to show the audience that Gohan is now the main character and GT (renamed Gohan Time instead of Goku Time) could be about him growing up without Goku while dealing with having to fight villains and being Goku's legacy then bring Goku back at the end of GT while setting up Super (I know GT isn't canon and that it would happen after Super but I don't care)
What if Cell was resurrected he would train before attacking the Z Fighters mostly Gohan and he would torture, berate and mock Gohan for how weak he has become and for stopping his training and relying on Goku and Vegeta all the time he would then beat Goku and Vegeta and forcing them to fuse then they would beat Cell and when everything is done Gohan would realize that Cell was right and start training again, the other Z Fighters that aren't Saiyan's would do the same having reached the same conclusion that Gohan has that they rely on Goku and Vegeta too much
What if Kami and Elder Guru regained their youth then fuse with each other and what if what if Lord Slug was canon you could have Piccolo defeats Lord Slug then fuses with him by Lord Slugs request to secretly try and turn Piccolo evil again but it doesn't work all it does is make him more aggressive when he fights and more powerful obviously and making it easier for Babidi to turn him into a Majin which when he does he starts to call himself the 2nd coming of Demon King Piccolo and even acts like him while also making him regain his memory's of his time as Demon King Piccolo back in Dragon Ball, you could even make him have a inner conflict and have Kami, Elder Guru and Nail fight Demon King Piccolo and Lord Slug who are stronger because of the Majin mark and try to make Piccolo remember who he is
What if Goku got SSG or at least God KI from training with King Kai during the 7 year time skip also Future Trunks could get God KI when he becomes a Supreme Kai Apprentice and Gohan can get God KI from training with Shin and Kibito and/or through the ritual Old Kai does on him and before anyone says that King Kai doesn't have God KI then why did Zamasu have God KI when he was the North Kai of his universe just like King Kai before he became a Supreme Kai Apprentice the only reason Goku and Gohan didn't originally is because God KI wasn't a thing back then and though while it wasn't said it might be possible that Future Trunks actually did get God KI when he became a Supreme Kai Apprentice but didn't know it
What if after King Kai created the Kaio-Ken technique he then showed it to all the Kai's and G.O.D and Zeno and Grand Priest made it a requirement for all Kai's to learn and master, this wouldn't really make a impact on the story until the Goku Black Arc since Goku Black and Zamasu and by extension Merged/Fused Zamasu would all know the Kaio-Ken and would obviously be much stronger, Goku Black could use it to gain Zenkai's and he could combine it with Super Saiyan Rose and Zamasu because he is immortal could use it as high as he wants but if Merged/Fused Zamasu uses it he will become more and more corrupted also it's likely that Shin survives in the future when he fights Debura because he knows the Kaio-Ken which would means that he would continue training Future Trunks who would also learn the Kaio-Ken even if he didn't he would still be stronger and he would most likely train with the Z-Sword which means eventually Shin would want to test Future Trunks which would lead into Trunks breaking the Z-Sword and releasing Old Kai who would most likely unleash Trunks's potential and then Trunks would still train and probably combine his unleashed potential with the Kaio-Ken meaning he would be stronger than his canon counterpart and because he is stronger Goku Black would also be stronger through Zenkai's and be more used to Goku's body
What if Xicor was canon (Dragon Ball AF) also because he is part Kai that means when he transforms into a Super Saiyan it will look like Super Saiyan Rosè because that's what happens when a Saiyan is part Kai or when a Saiyan becomes a God like a God of Destruction or a Supreme Kai Apprentice like Future Trunks in the manga. the only reason Future Trunks didn't have Super Saiyan Rosè is because in the manga Super Saiyan Rosè isn't a Saiyan Gods version of Super Saiyan but a Saiyan Gods Version of Super Saiyan Blue unlike in the anime where Super Saiyan Rosè is a Saiyan Gods version of regular Super Saiyan
What if Janemba was canon and when he was purified by Gogeta's Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker the Ogre (or was it an oni) that became Janemba gains the ability to transform into Janemba when ever he want and has full control. when he transforms into Janemba his power, abilities and appearance becomes that of Super Janemba
What if Cooler was born good and was banished by King Cold and eventually meets Goku and becomes a Z-Fighter
What if Bulma used the parts of Super Android 13 to make Android 16 stronger also have him survive the Cell Games by sheer luck by having it so when Cell stomps on his head he unknowingly doesn't break 16's memory chip
What if Gohan's rage boost were like Z Broly's but his personality doesn't change like Z Broly's and his rage boost would actually be stronger since he is a half breed
What if Hit was born in universe 7
What if Android 21 was canon
What if Towa and Mira were canon
What if King Kai/Goku Taught the Z-Fighters Kaio-Ken
What if Cell was reincarnated
What if Turles was Goku's or Bardock's twin brother
What if Raditz AND Nappa survived
(It doesn't matter if anyone says that this stuff can't happen for some reason. these are what ifs you can make anything happen)

question: if Angels would beable to unfusse the kai's, and if the drragon balls can unfyse the kai's, what would be harder? bringing back the dead or unfusing?
Please do a what if humans trained with wise. For example krillen, Yamaha, ect..

Let's face it, Beerus is exactly what would happen if a housecat became sentient and was given the powers of a god. Sleep for 30 years at a time and only go outside when he's hungry. And if he doesn't like what he's given he throws a fit.

And there is a fundamental difference between 'No Time Limit' and 'Permanent'. 'No Time Limit' means that it can go on for as long as the person(s) in question desire until they decide to stop it. 'Permanent' means that it goes on forever, and once it's started there's no way to end it.

Beerus curses at Elder Kai, but Elder Kai is still the only Kai who knows how Kai's should work after Buu totally threw off the order of secession. We all laugh and tease Shin for being weak, but he also had no complete training before he was thrust into the role.
thats fair, but shin not knowing stuff like who zeno is seems quite absurd, like, that seems like the type of info you'd learn in a week, the hierarchy of the universe, and have it memorized down pat

@@commanderhelix Not having a time limit means that it can go on for as long as you want it to until YOU decide to stop it. Permanent means that once it's started, there's no way to stop it, ever.
Part of me was thinking you'd briefly bring up the "Mortal Level" of Universe 7 a bit. Not enough to avoid participating in the Tournament of Power, obviously, but I'd think him doing his job could help in that regard.
Maybe if he started helping a few years earlier universe 7 mortal level would probably be high enough to excluded, but at this point at least they wouldn't be second to the last

@@ChouhouinNeko because even though nowhere near as powerful, supreme kai technically have more authority. If I'm not mistaken. I do know that supreme kaioshin and the destroyers are connected where if one dies, the other does. That kinda makes my theory mentioned above make less sense as a destroyer would be less likely to be killed in time travel.

@@mkthemonke3663 not true, gods are supposed to keep balance between creation and destruction. there are creators and destroyers, but no gods of peace. the only gods whos jobs are to maintain the balance between good and evil are guardians like kami, who can sense god ki and therefore have a little.
frieza and king cold operated directly under beerus. in order to keep their reigns stable, they made sure to call beerus whenever they wanted to destroy planets with strong life, like planet vegeta. if beerus did not want frieza to destroy vegeta, he would not have allowed him to do so. beerus himself admits he specifically allowed frieza to do it.
Very good move to implement the change after the Battle of Gods Arc. That point of time was meant to be the one for Beerus to consider his flaws.
What if Tarble sent to Earth with Goku or Tarble sent to Yadrat, where Goku met Tarble after Namek

In the manga, Goku almost completely destroys merged Zamasu with Hakai. it would have actually worked on him had he not used Future Mai as a shield. Although killing him in any way other than Hakai would probably result in him becoming Universe Zamasu anyways. so sealing him was the best option.
But also in the manga, Beerus admits he can't kill an immortal, when talking about Merged Zamasu, so I'm not sure if Goku's attack would have worked anyway
To be honest I would love to see the show go this way
If I was Toriyama, I would tell the Toei company to make Dragon Ball Super Kai to remaster and sort of reboot it fix some of the problems and change the plot and give many characters more development and screen time. After the Battle of the Gods, Beerus would go to the Supreme Kais and after hearing his counterpart almost died twice, Beerus finally changed his ways and take his role more seriously than ever before. Goku would become wiser and selfless after gaining Mereus’s angelic sense of justice and on top of that totally Master Ultra Instinct.

What if Universe 7 had the highest Mortal Level? Meaning Beerus and Shin did their jobs perfectly and efficiently.
So... if they train with someone stronger than the canon: they bocome stronger, because he's... stronger and they grow, trying to reach his level.
BUT... if they train with someone weaker than the canon: they become STRONGER, because the teacher has a better understanding and empathy of their limits and skills.
...
It's amazing how in the canon story they always picked the wrong teachers.

The God of Destruction has been alive for millions of years. Only a couple of years have passed since Beerus changed his ways. Will he stick to it?
It's, in a way, kind of like diet. Let's say you've been alive for 100 years. That is ~36,525 days, or 876,600 hours, or 52,596,000 minutes. You then, on your 100th birthday, decide to start following a specific diet. If you can keep it up for a year, you are probably not going to stop.
Beerus is, according to the Dragon Ball fandom wiki, at least 75,000,000 years old. 100 years consist of 52,596,000 minutes. 75m is a larger number than 52m.
It has only been a couple of years. Let's say, 5 years. That is 5 years of his 75,000,000. This is the equivalent of 3 and a half minutes off of your 100 years. Time has barely passed.
The fact he has kept it up for 5 years means absolutely nothing. I can't even eat a single meal in 4 minutes. If you can keep it up for a month, then sure, your probably getting the hang of it. That is about 63,771 years of Beerus' lifetime. I mentioned a year earlier. A year would, instead, be ~765,252 years.
Time barely passed at all. You do not say a criminal has become a better person after 3.5 minutes of jailtime. The same goes for Beerus. He is not better at his job if he does it better for 5 of his 75,00,000 years worth of life. He'll have to keep it up for way longer than 5 years.
TL;DR The mortal level would barely increase at all, and the only reason it would increase was because there were ACTUAL threats that were taken cared of. It wouldn't have increased the mortal level nearly enough for them to be in the top four ranking. Oh, and Beerus is old as FUCK.
Edit: I think I actually made a mistake. I compared 75 million years to 52 million MINUTES. The actual math should have been:
> 75,000,000 * (365 * 24 * 60) = 39,420,000,000,000 (39 trillion) minutes.
> (365 * 24 * 60) / 39,420,000,000,000 = 6,666666666666667e-8
> 6,666666666666667e-8 * 52,596,000 = 3.5064
It seems that I still get the same result, actually. I guess it has to do with proportion or whatever. I'm no math expert lol.

I thought it was odd that berrus and the 7ths supreme Kai had such a disjointed relationship meanwhile in the tournament of power the relationships between the other Kai's and destroyers are much more in tandem to the roles their supposed to be playing.
Then again...the writing is well...special. cause the supreme Kai has absolutely no reason to fear the destroyer as their linked and it's not like berrus is going to kill himself so he isn't going to harm his universes Supreme Kai.
He did seal Elder Kai in the Z Sword over a slight, and reduced the size of North Kai's planet after losing a game.
Put simply, Shin is reasonably scared of Beerus because Beerus has proven himself to be quite a loose cannon

Actually they do not need the hyperbolic time chamber. It was shown in DBS to be pointless. Whis transports goku and vegeta to a place way better than the HTC. Think of the HTC as being an AD, where whiz sends them is the full movie.

I think I know why Beerus doesn't do his job currently after seeing everything that got out of control. It's all in the ending of Battle of Gods when Goku absorbs his energy ball. I think at that moment Beerus secretly unlocked an affection for Goku, how poweful he has grown and what he's willing to protect and he wants to see more of that. Remember at the tournament of power when Goku masters UI and Beerus stands up out of respect and says "Seriously, what an unbelievable guy!", that's precisely what I'm talking about. Beerus' life has always been about sleeping and eating, boring and meaningless. But seeing a simple pure hearted saiyan like Goku slowly transcend beyond any and all mortal capabilities, that intrigues him. I think that's why he left him and Vegeta to take care of great threats such as Moro, Granolah and Gas instead of dealing with them himself. Even further to back up my theory, interestingly enough, the only being we've witnessed Beerus use hakai on for real after meeting Goku was Zamasu. Almost like he took it personally that someone used Goku's body for their own selfishness. I doubt it was because Zamasu destroyed the Earth, since Frieza has been destroying planets since forever and he never cared.
He even ordered Frieza to destroy Planet Vegeta.
I agree with your theory, it makes a lot of sense that Beerus began to have some kind of affection for Goku after their battle.
In the anime, after the Super Saiyan God form expired and Beerus explained why so, Beerus said to Goku "I should be careful or your battle obsessed single-mindedness might rub off on me... though seeing where this battle has gone, I think it already has".
In the anime, Beerus pretended as if he were asleep just to avoid destroying the Earth, even though claiming he did fall asleep, he had full knowledge of what happened and didn't consider destroying Earth.
In the Battle of Gods movie, he kept in promise by destroying a rock and telling Goku he was the second strongest opponent he's ever faced. Beerus sparring the world like he did, was one indication that he had respect for Goku.
In the Goku Black Arc, he went out of his way to take out Zamazu, and when the future was unchanged, he sent Gowasu (Supreme Kai of the 10th universe) and Shin to the future to help with Zamazu. Maybe destroying present Zamazu was to save himself from Zamazu potentially killing all the Gods, but with the future, he said it was none of his buisness, but still helped.
During the preparation to the Tournament of Power, Beerus cared a lot about Goku, saying that he was a crucial to Universe 7's survival (much to Vegeta's dismay). He was upset when Whis allowed Hit to target Goku, and even had nightmares of Goku dying which deeply worried him. He even saved Goku from Frieza. So yes, Beerus undoubtedly has a lot of respect for Goku, and by the looks it, he may actually care about him.
Great to see a story pointing out how Beerus messed Universe 7 with his negligence.
Exactly. He needs to learn his lesson and change his ways for the better. Had he taken the steps the Supreme Kais and Z-Fighters recommends, Beerus would be remembered as one the bravest and greatest Gods of Destruction the Multiverse had even known.

What if Ultimate Gohan defeated Super Buu and was the protagonist for the Buu saga. The Buu saga could be an epilogue to show the audience that Gohan is now the main character and GT (renamed Gohan Time instead of Goku Time) could be about him growing up without Goku while dealing with having to fight villains and being Goku's legacy then bring Goku back at the end of GT while setting up Super (I know GT isn't canon and that it would happen after Super but I don't care)
What if Cell was resurrected he would train before attacking the Z Fighters mostly Gohan and he would torture, berate and mock Gohan for how weak he has become and for stopping his training and relying on Goku and Vegeta all the time he would then beat Goku and Vegeta and forcing them to fuse then they would beat Cell and when everything is done Gohan would realize that Cell was right and start training again, the other Z Fighters that aren't Saiyan's would do the same having reached the same conclusion that Gohan has that they rely on Goku and Vegeta too much
What if Kami and Elder Guru regained their youth then fuse with each other and what if what if Lord Slug was canon you could have Piccolo defeats Lord Slug then fuses with him by Lord Slugs request to secretly try and turn Piccolo evil again but it doesn't work all it does is make him more aggressive when he fights and more powerful obviously and making it easier for Babidi to turn him into a Majin which when he does he starts to call himself the 2nd coming of Demon King Piccolo and even acts like him while also making him regain his memory's of his time as Demon King Piccolo back in Dragon Ball, you could even make him have a inner conflict and have Kami, Elder Guru and Nail fight Demon King Piccolo and Lord Slug who are stronger because of the Majin mark and try to make Piccolo remember who he is
What if Goku got SSG or at least God KI from training with King Kai during the 7 year time skip also Future Trunks could get God KI when he becomes a Supreme Kai Apprentice and Gohan can get God KI from training with Shin and Kibito and/or through the ritual Old Kai does on him and before anyone says that King Kai doesn't have God KI then why did Zamasu have God KI when he was the North Kai of his universe just like King Kai before he became a Supreme Kai Apprentice the only reason Goku and Gohan didn't originally is because God KI wasn't a thing back then and though while it wasn't said it might be possible that Future Trunks actually did get God KI when he became a Supreme Kai Apprentice but didn't know it
What if after King Kai created the Kaio-Ken technique he then showed it to all the Kai's and G.O.D and Zeno and Grand Priest made it a requirement for all Kai's to learn and master, this wouldn't really make a impact on the story until the Goku Black Arc since Goku Black and Zamasu and by extension Merged/Fused Zamasu would all know the Kaio-Ken and would obviously be much stronger, Goku Black could use it to gain Zenkai's and he could combine it with Super Saiyan Rose and Zamasu because he is immortal could use it as high as he wants but if Merged/Fused Zamasu uses it he will become more and more corrupted also it's likely that Shin survives in the future when he fights Debura because he knows the Kaio-Ken which would means that he would continue training Future Trunks who would also learn the Kaio-Ken even if he didn't he would still be stronger and he would most likely train with the Z-Sword which means eventually Shin would want to test Future Trunks which would lead into Trunks breaking the Z-Sword and releasing Old Kai who would most likely unleash Trunks's potential and then Trunks would still train and probably combine his unleashed potential with the Kaio-Ken meaning he would be stronger than his canon counterpart and because he is stronger Goku Black would also be stronger through Zenkai's and be more used to Goku's body
What if Xicor was canon (Dragon Ball AF) also because he is part Kai that means when he transforms into a Super Saiyan it will look like Super Saiyan Rosè because that's what happens when a Saiyan is part Kai or when a Saiyan becomes a God like a God of Destruction or a Supreme Kai Apprentice like Future Trunks in the manga. the only reason Future Trunks didn't have Super Saiyan Rosè is because in the manga Super Saiyan Rosè isn't a Saiyan Gods version of Super Saiyan but a Saiyan Gods Version of Super Saiyan Blue unlike in the anime where Super Saiyan Rosè is a Saiyan Gods version of regular Super Saiyan
What if Janemba was canon and when he was purified by Gogeta's Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker the Ogre (or was it an oni) that became Janemba gains the ability to transform into Janemba when ever he want and has full control. when he transforms into Janemba his power, abilities and appearance becomes that of Super Janemba

This reminded me of the fan manga "Dragonball Multiverse" origin. Where North & West Supreme Kai intervened in Bibidi's attempt of awakening Buu. And East Supreme Kai (Shin) killed King Cold & his entire lineage to prevent the universe from being in more turmoil. Which resulted in the Saiyans remaining primitive/weaker.
As short as it was, this was a pretty good What-If Scenario!

You are forgetting that the T.O.P was already promised by Zeno back at the Universe 6 tournament. Goku asking the tournament to happen would only change the Zen Exhibition since present Zeno already knows what a tournament is. The only reason the Zen Exhibition happened was because Future Zeno never saw what a tournament was. In conclusion the T.O.P still happens but the Zen Exhibition does not
