- Hey foodies.Today we bring to you an authentic recipe of pickles made out of mangoes which are famous mostly in Karnataka "tender mango pickle" or "appemidi".Appemidi Karnataka state has unique position with respect to the diversity of pickling mango varieties.Midi means tender mango in Kannada. These tiny unique mangoes are grown near Sirsi, Sagar, Siddapur, Thirthahally regions. The mango’s unique size and taste makes pickle one of the best in India.
List of ingredients
Mavina Midigayi-1kg
Rock Salt-3/4th to 1 cup
Mustard seeds powder:6 tbsp
Red Chilli powder-6 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1tbsp
Hing-1/2 tbsp(optional)
