Are you saying the best scenario is to come to Australia on a WHV and begin to apply for jobs as a Software Engineer on that WHV? And then try to get the employer to sponsor you for a 482? And/or come on a WHV and begin trying to get 482 from the get-go?
Also, are you saying your chances of getting sponsorship are significantly higher when you are in Australia?

Hi, yes working for a company would certainly demonstrate to the company that you are worth sponsoring. If you can find a company to sponsor your visa from offshore, go for it, but that may be difficult
