I love your WIP parade! SO many nice projects. I am at the point where you are talking about someone calling you a slob, please don't let the negativity get to you. As you can see from all the other comments ppl love your style and seeing your videos. As a fellow IT person, I understand this is a hobby to let loose what otherwise requires an organized mind :) Please keep it up!

Loved your WIP parade Kathryn, and hated to hear about the nasty comments - there’s no understanding some people- maybe she’s jealous or something. Totally unjustified. I smiled to see Santa Stamp....eventually! Sitting watching you & stitching my own Santa Stamp - thanks to your generosity. Started it when I received it, didn’t do much until pulling it out at the beginning of December. Working in same area, but haven’t touched the border yet. Happy new year Lesley x

I absolutely loved your wip parade!! There's always some sad nasty people out there, that have nothing better to do than bully others, try not to let them get to you. You're a wonderful, fun person and you do beautiful stitching! I hadn't seen that Girl selling flowers before from Luca-S and it's gorgeous. I may have to add to my wish list. Sabrina is stunning!!! Love your videos. Block the crazy people from comments. You’re good! As for the counting on Jardin Prive, I would place a counting pin (or a straight pin, in my case) every 10 stitches til you get to the left side. Then count again to make sure you placed the pins correctly. Or running stitch of basting, putting an X every ten stitches.
I’ve heard people talk about counting pins but I’ve never tried that. Great idea!! (I would need to use regular straight pins too). I also like the running stitch idea. I think that’s what I’ll do. Thank you so much!! Happy New Year!! 🥳

Don’t let people tell you to finish your projects or not, it’s hobbie, not a job. Sometimes I try baking something and it burns, should I still be forced to eat charcoal just cause I spent time to make it and money for ingredients. Stitching should be fun and relaxing, the moment it’s not, why even bother ❤ your wips are all great

I can’t believe anyone would be so mean. I dream to be as organized as you!! You are not the least bit awkward in person. I felt like a dork! It was definitely a highlight to see your Beauty and The Beast in person. It is just stunning. I might later this year attempt a full coverage myself. I had no idea that Sabrina wasn’t just in white/grey/black!! The photos of Nora pieces just never do them justice. I actually decided to UFO my Morning Glory. They are my favorite flower and I was slightly underwhelmed by this. I wanted more blues or sparkle or something. I recently re organized all my stash and she had been hanging out forever and I decided to just un-kit her and move on. But hey, I’ve finished 3 more since Charlotte so it’s ok to let one go. The ones I finished since then just needed beads. Or backstitching. Or both. And I finished the retreat piece as well. Loved spending time wirh you today. With said beverage and cookie. I would watch a COMPLETE WIP parade but I know it’s a lot of work on your end. Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉
@@NeedleberryStitcher I finished the retreat piece, Maidenhair and Lady Catt. I also finished the back stitching on Wisteria. I need to bead her but I was kind of burned out on beading for awhile. I’ll finish her in January.
Oh I forgot to say, I LOVE all of the snowmen behind you. I have a collection of snowmen so I pick up on them in videos. I use the same marking pen as you described and I love it. I do not grid but when I am starting a new project it cones in very handy and if I have to do a long cross country stitch it helps with the counting then.
Exactly! That’s what I use my pen for also, just mainly for counting long distances. Also I didn’t comment on your last video but I LOVE the seasonal door display you and your husband made!!! It’s beautiful!
I totally understand what you mean about the pre-gridded fabric. I only have one project on it but without fail I always have to triple check and it just starts to boggle my mind.

I really enjoy your stitching and your range of projects. Thank you for taking the time to put it together! I’ve heard about a negative Nelly out there making rude comments. I tend to feel sorry for them in a way, I bet they were berated as not being good enough when they were young, so they project that outward now to try to make themselves feel better than others…it’s still uncalled for tho. From beginning to end, great job! Would love to get in on a couple of these SALs. I can actually do better if I have a goal, I have the mailboxes, the Moon Hard and would like to purchases some more you have shown. You talking about negative comments, I think probably most, if not all, the people leaving negative comments are simply jealous and/or uncreative people. They are out there, all around. Keep doing what you do, you are doing a great job.

Thanks! I thought about that for the grid lines, and I’m not as concerned about those as I am with the fabric skewing crooked where I can’t get it to line up straight in my Q-snap or on scroll rods. I think there’s actually something wrong with the fabric weave, it should be straight but it’s pulling on the diagonal. Maybe I can cut it into smaller pieces and make ornaments! 😃💕

Hi...first of all, you one of my favorite podcasts, always looking forward when you do a WIP parade! Your projects are beautiful, and your stitching is remarkable. As for Sabrina, you are correct, the pattern copy looks gray. However, your colors are stunning, and I wouldn't change a single thing! The beading matches the colors you have. It will be a real stunner when you complete it. Secondly, for someone to call you an unkind name shows their ignorance. I have watched you for quite a while, and have always enjoyed your podcasts, and marveled how organized you were. Even if you weren't, as you know, people think they have the right to say whatever they want, unfortunately. It does hurt, but it does not make it true. Again, it makes them ignorant. 🧟♀Thirdly, if you ever need a person to do a stitch a long with, I am available 😁😉.

What a fun video. I had to stop and go look up the Christmas Shop piece. It is GORGEOUS! I haven’t purchased it but I did bookmark the page and did some calculations. I have one HEAD underway that has taken me years to get 1/3 of the way done so I’m not fooling myself in thinking that I can manage all of the beauties I have plus a new 180 page pattern! What’s with people and thinking it’s ok to leave thoughtless comments? What’s wrong with them that they have to do that? So far I’ve ignored ones I got but did block one person this past year. I forget her name. The comment actually vanished so she either took it down or it went away after I blocked her. I’d have to guess they’re unhappy people in real life. Happy New Year. Pam

Your floss tube channel came up on my you tube feed and I really enjoyed it. Your intro had me lol. You’re a hoot! I enjoyed seeing all your WIPS for 2023 and would like to see All your WIPS and kitted projects. You never know, I might just see something I can’t live without lol. I don’t see anything wrong At All with your stitching/ organization etc. whatever it was someone complained about. Most people I watch don’t iron their projects either. I get bored very easily too and switch projects. I never understand why people don’t just move on I read of posting some negative remark. You just keep doing you . I’ll be back to watch more.

It’s full coverage… 240x300… 72,000 stitches. But there’s a lot of background that only has 2-3 colors and it’s stitching up fast. Happy New Year and happy stitching in 2024! 🥳

Yes, words are hard. I’m sorry you had something negative said to you at work, it’s hard not to dwell on those things. Just have to remember that the people in your life who matter most don’t treat you that way. You have that kit too, isn’t it amazing? When I saw the Girl Selling Flowers kit I paused the video immediately to take a picture. That little girl looks just like my granddaughter! I’ve never purchased a kit before but I think I might have to get this one. I like the variety of pieces on a long WIP parade so if you do another one with the other WIPs I’ll be sure to watch!
I’ve had a few people ask me to do a full parade… so I guess I should! It just might be really long! How interesting that the little girl in the kit looks like your granddaughter, sounds like you definitely must stitch it 😉
I so agree with you about preprinted material. We might share the same brainwaves. My 2024 hope is to get more finishes. Now that I have found a wonderful, dependable finisher I need to complete things to send her. My “ stitching dollars “ will go to finishes not purchases.
That’s a great plan for 2024 to spend money on finishes instead of purchases. It’s nice to see finished pieces displayed so we can enjoy them beyond just the many hours of working on them. 💕 Have a Happy New Year!

I've never used a stitching app, and in the video before watching this one where you were showing your Teresa Wentzler design collection, you mentioned the Cross Stitch Journal App by Blit Stitch(sp ?) and I wrote it down in my little note pad. I keep thinking I need to get my Kindle Fire back online to use for something like that. I'm sorry that people can't be grateful for what you're doing! It is so brave to make videos !!! Often I get scared my ex-husband might be saying rude things in my name because he opened bogus accounts in my named on the internet and has slandered me very much in different places. Just know that it could be a jealous narcissistic ex that could be trying to ruin someone's reputation over jealousy. I really can't imagine any one that is really a stitcher saying something like that to another stitcher. It always shocks me to hear about these kinds of Jr. High School level behaviors. I didn’t see any teal in Sabrina’s dress either! I should have done a floss toss first but I didn’t even think about it! Happy New Year, and have fun stitching! ☺️💕
I’ve tried several different scroll frames but I always come back to my Handi-Clamps because they come with plastic clamps that are like the ones used for Q-snaps except they fit right on the scroll rods, the best of both worlds. I find them very easy to attach my fabric. The only down sides are that I haven’t found bars long enough for my larger projects so I only use them for medium or smaller projects, and I use felt to cover my stitched area when I roll it so that the edge of the plastic clamp doesn’t leave a ridge/indentation in my fabric. But they are my absolute favorite scroll frames. I recently tried RollaFrames and those seem pretty good to, although I haven’t been using them long enough to have a final opinion yet. I’ll try to do a short segment on my scroll frames in my next video.

Loved your WIP parade Kathryn, and hated to hear about the nasty comments - there’s no understanding some people- maybe she’s jealous or something. Totally unjustified. I smiled to see Santa Stamp....eventually! Sitting watching you & stitching my own Santa Stamp - thanks to your generosity. I absolutely loved your wip parade!! There's always some sad nasty people out there, that have nothing better to do than bully others, try not to let them get to you. You're a wonderful, fun person and you do beautiful stitching! I hadn't seen that Girl selling flowers before from Luca-S and it's gorgeous. I may have to add to my wish list. Sabrina is stunning!!! I wouldn't have noticed the teal until you said something, I think it'll blend in even more when you have more white on the gown.

Love your videos. Block the crazy people from comments. You’re good! As for the counting on Jardin Prive, I would place a counting pin (or a straight pin, in my case) every 10 stitches til you get to the left side. Then count again to make sure you placed the pins correctly. Or running stitch of basting, putting an X every ten stitches.
I’ve heard people talk about counting pins but I’ve never tried that. Great idea!! (I would need to use regular straight pins too). I also like the running stitch idea. I think that’s what I’ll do. Thank you so much!! Happy New Year!! 🥳

Don’t let people tell you to finish your projects or not, it’s hobbie, not a job. Sometimes I try baking something and it burns, should I still be forced to eat charcoal just cause I spent time to make it and money for ingredients. I love the WIPGO idea too but it’s as if as soon as I set goals or rules I immediately want to break them! 😂 I might still try to set loose goals, maybe identify some focus pieces, but I definitely don’t want anything too rigid.

I had no idea that Sabrina wasn’t just in white/grey/black!! The photos of Nora pieces just never do them justice. I actually decided to UFO my Morning Glory. They are my favorite flower and I was slightly underwhelmed by this. I wanted more blues or sparkle or something. I recently re organized all my stash and she had been hanging out forever and I decided to just un-kit her and move on. But hey, I’ve finished 3 more since Charlotte so it’s ok to let one go. The ones I finished since then just needed beads. Or backstitching. Or both. And I finished the retreat piece as well.
Loved spending time wirh you today. With said beverage and cookie. I would watch a COMPLETE WIP parade but I know it’s a lot of work on your end.

Oh I forgot to say, I LOVE all of the snowmen behind you. I have a collection of snowmen so I pick up on them in videos. I use the same marking pen as you described and I love it. I do not grid but when I am starting a new project it cones in very handy and if I have to do a long cross country stitch it helps with the counting then.
Exactly! That’s what I use my pen for also, just mainly for counting long distances. Also I didn’t comment on your last video but I LOVE the seasonal door display you and your husband made!!! It’s beautiful!

I’ve heard about a negative Nelly out there making rude comments. I tend to feel sorry for them in a way, I bet they were berated as not being good enough when they were young, so they project that outward now to try to make themselves feel better than others…it’s still uncalled for tho. Sorry you had to deal with that so block them for good!

I can actually do better if I have a goal, I have the mailboxes, the Moon Hard and would like to purchases some more you have shown. You talking about negative comments, I think probably most, if not all, the people leaving negative comments are simply jealous and/or uncreative people. They are out there, all around.

just FYI: you can wash the pregridded 28ct & the lines will disappear. then could use the fabric for something else, fun video, thank you!
Thanks! I thought about that for the grid lines, and I’m not as concerned about those as I am with the fabric skewing crooked where I can’t get it to line up straight in my Q-snap or on scroll rods. I think there’s actually something wrong with the fabric weave, it should be straight but it’s pulling on the diagonal. Maybe I can cut it into smaller pieces and make ornaments! 😃💕

Hi...first of all, you one of my favorite podcasts, always looking forward when you do a WIP parade! Your projects are beautiful, and your stitching is remarkable. As for Sabrina, you are correct, the pattern copy looks gray. However, your colors are stunning, and I wouldn't change a single thing! The beading matches the colors you have. It will be a real stunner when you complete it. Secondly, for someone to call you an unkind name shows their ignorance. I have watched you for quite a while, and have always enjoyed your podcasts, and marveled how organized you were. Even if you weren't, as you know, people think they have the right to say whatever they want, unfortunately. It does hurt, but it does not make it true. Again, it makes them ignorant. 🧟♀Thirdly, if you ever need a person to do a stitch a long with, I am available 😁😉.

I do hope Sabrina turns out okay, I think the pink fabric is very neutral and not too bright so overall it should be okay. Next time I start a pattern and pick a different fabric I’ll be sure to check the colors better. We never stop learning new tricks and tips with our stitching!
What a fun video. I had to stop and go look up the Christmas Shop piece. It is GORGEOUS! I haven’t purchased it but I did bookmark the page and did some calculations. I have one HEAD underway that has taken me years to get 1/3 of the way done so I’m not fooling myself in thinking that I can manage all of the beauties I have plus a new 180 page pattern! What’s with people and thinking it’s ok to leave thoughtless comments? What’s wrong with them that they have to do that? So far I’ve ignored ones I got but did block one person this past year. I forget her name. The comment actually vanished so she either took it down or it went away after I blocked her. I’d have to guess they’re unhappy people in real life. Happy New Year. Pam

Thank you for the kind comment and support! Yes, the Luca-S design is so very beautiful, I had to start it right away, too pretty to let it sit in a package. It’s full coverage… 240x300… 72,000 stitches. But there’s a lot of background that only has 2-3 colors and it’s stitching up fast.

Lovely to see you. Don't bother with another WIP parade, spend the time stitching and planning for 2024. You are fabulous, don't forget it. Words hurt. I was told something negative at work last week, and although I know I shouldn't let it bother me, I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Our minds seem to work that way! I love your Luca S kit - I have her also. She is just so haunting and beautiful. I'm not sure when I'll start her, as I'm sort of monogamous at the moment, so I'll just watch your progress. Yes, words are hard. I’m sorry you had something negative said to you at work, it’s hard not to dwell on those things. Just have to remember that the people in your life who matter most don’t treat you that way.

When I saw the Girl Selling Flowers kit I paused the video immediately to take a picture. That little girl looks just like my granddaughter! I’ve never purchased a kit before but I think I might have to get this one. I like the variety of pieces on a long WIP parade so if you do another one with the other WIPs I’ll be sure to watch!
I’ve had a few people ask me to do a full parade… so I guess I should! It just might be really long!

I so agree with you about preprinted material. We might share the same brainwaves.
My 2024 hope is to get more finishes. Now that I have found a wonderful, dependable finisher I need to complete things to send her. My “ stitching dollars “ will go to finishes not purchases.
That’s a great plan for 2024 to spend money on finishes instead of purchases. It’s nice to see finished pieces displayed so we can enjoy them beyond just the many hours of working on them. 💕

I've never used a stitching app, and in the video before watching this one where you were showing your Teresa Wentzler design collection, you mentioned the Cross Stitch Journal App by Blit Stitch(sp ?) and I wrote it down in my little note pad. I keep thinking I need to get my Kindle Fire back online to use for something like that.

Often I get scared my ex-husband might be saying rude things in my name because he opened bogus accounts in my named on the internet and has slandered me very much in different places. Just know that it could be a jealous narcissistic ex that could be trying to ruin someone's reputation over jealousy. I really can't imagine any one that is really a stitcher saying something like that to another stitcher. It always shocks me to hear about these kinds of Jr. High School level behaviors. I'm glad you were able to block that person!!!

Great video ❤ what scroll frames do you use?
I’ve tried several different scroll frames but I always come back to my Handi-Clamps because they come with plastic clamps that are like the ones used for Q-snaps except they fit right on the scroll rods, the best of both worlds. I find them very easy to attach my fabric. The only down sides are that I haven’t found bars long enough for my larger projects so I only use them for medium or smaller projects, and I use felt to cover my stitched area when I roll it so that the edge of the plastic clamp doesn’t leave a ridge/indentation in my fabric. But they are my absolute favorite scroll frames. I recently tried RollaFrames and those seem pretty good to, although I haven’t been using them long enough to have a final opinion yet. I’ll try to do a short segment on my scroll frames in my next video.
