You do know we love you, and we admire you for all you have gone through. It was wonderful to see all you do, even when so overloaded. Thank you for the wonderful video. I understand tumors because i have had 3 tumor surgeries and think that your dog going home is a blessing. My pain is so high that it is unbelievable at times. Take care and continue to find joy in your life.
Goodness - I hope docs can help you with your pain. Quality of life for our animals is always a priority for me so I'm glad Liesl isn't suffering anymore. The house is still very empty without her despite that it's almost been a full month. Here's to a stitchy 2024.

Oh Kim as much as I loved your wip parade my heart breaks that you lost your pup. I am so sorry. I am praying with the clemency… I got an uneasy feeling when you said that. Take care!!!!!!!
Thank you. I can't control the clemency so I'll focus on what I can control. We'll see what the year brings and I'll stitch loads in the meantime!

Thank you. The ons that I did the black ECC were fun to do.
I love Trick or Trezt, with the black outline done. Then your bottom row just bursts with color and detail. It will be huge when it's done and a family treasure for sure. Your Templar Sampler is going to be awesome, but as I suffer from extreme fatigue, I get being too tired to pick it up. You have great wips. Your new start is from one of the best designers of fancy ladies. Her faces.....I lost my boy Buster Brown, a few months ago, too. He had a heart attack and died within 8 hours. I am so sad for you. I am praying things go well for you and the girls. You are so strong, but the strong suffer in silence a lot. ❤

These cold temps remind me of ND, even though it gets a lot colder there. We've had such a mild winter until this past weekend!
@@msufly I know … it was almost like we weren’t having winter, and now we are definitely having winter. It’s very shocking to the system. I really prefer when we have just a little bit of snow on the ground and temperatures in the mid 20s. I don’t like it when my face feels like it’s gonna freeze off and I can’t walk outside. I’m also not looking forward to the end of this week when we’re supposed to get rain because that’s gonna turn all of our back roads into great big sheets of ice.
Im so sorry about your loss. Our pets are family & the loss is very real. I hope you will have a better 2024. Here's to your only having 5 total no stitch days!!

Thanks for the wip parade. I always enjoy seeing your projects and progress. I'm stitching a sideways piece, too. Took a bit to wrap my brain around it, but it is going well.
Thanks so much Sarah. Yeah, it takes me about a day to get used to stitching sideways again. I'm not changing the direction of my stitches but my head still translates what I'm doing. Happy new year!
My heart is with you. We lost our precious dog a year and a half ago and still the tears are quick to come when she comes to mind. Whatever other challenges you are facing, you have a wealth of friends out here that are wishing the best for you. Stitching is definitely a good mental companion. 🤗

Oh no! So sorry Jamie...losing two in such a short time has got to be unbelievably hard. I put off picking up her poop in the backyard because of rainy weather & the holidays...finally got it done today because we still don't have snow and it was still hard. I wanted to see her running around the yard.

You've had so many challenges and "bumps" in the road the last year or more, I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby as well. You're right, we have our stitching to help us through, you have your girls and your family as well as the stitching community. I think you did a wonderful job with your stitching last year even if you didn't meet your goals and know you'll work towards those goals even harder this next year - 2024. I send blessings and prayers to you and your family and wish a smoother year ahead for you.

What a great video! All those full coverage pieces! I have just gotten a stand that will support my Mellenium frame, so I am looking forward to starting to work again on Randal Spanglers' Rose Trellis Inn. I live in Southern Alberta, Canada. We have no snow either and it has been very mild. I think we will get hit with some soon. I am ok with that, as I am not working for most of January and plan on settling in for a lot of stifching! I am so sorry about the loss of your dog. It is never easy. We lost our last one due to sudden neurological issues at 11:45 pm Christmas Eve, 2017, He is our forever Christmas Angel. Best wishes in meeting your 2024 goals!
Rose Trellis Inn is a great piece! I love all the Spangler houses. We got a bit more snow to bring in the new year and it didn't melt so winter might finally be here. Happy new year Joyce!
Awesome progress! I only have a few full coverage pieces started but I have several more purchased and kitted up waiting for me to take the plunge. I'm already trying to mentally map them to the FCF themes despite not technically being a fanatic (yet?). Also, so sorry about your loss. I lost my Boston Terrier suddenly to neurological issues several years back while I was pregnant with my second baby and it was so unbelievably hard. Sending healing vibes from IL.

I'm so sorry about your fur baby, the only way I get through the loss of a fur baby is that I know I gave them the best home and they were loved, and I'm sure you did the same. In regards to the odin piece, I hope you do pull it out and start working on it again, and whatever it reminds you of, don't let it affect your love of the piece and do it in spite of it, and stick up a metaphorical finger up to it . I hope you and your family have a good year and whatever life throws at you the strength to face it. ❤
Thanks! I've tried doing exactly that before with the Odin piece but it might've been too soon after some events. I hope to be able to stitch on it later this year with exactly that attitude. May Odin assign his ravens to watch those who need to be supervised and give them what they deserve.
Look after yourself, and be kind to yourself, your stitching progress may have disappointed you but I think it is amazing the amount you get done, with a demanding job and kids to care for.

I’m sorry to hear about your fur baby passing. They are just like our children! On top of that you get “shitty” news, ok now you’ve had yours for the year…. Hopefully it’ll be uphill from now on. Wow Kim! I am blown away by your HAED's! They all look amazing! I don't have the patience to work on something that big but I loved seeing your stitching. Even if you didn't meet all your goals, your work is incredible! And I love your Templar Prophecy. Those blues look fantastic. I've got that one in my "to stitch" list and I have also considered flipping the negative space around. I stitched the Santa Sampler years ago for my father in law and I had forgotten all about it. Oh Kim, I am so so sorry for the passing of your fur baby. Our fur babies are without doubt the most loyal and give unconditional love and devoted service to their families. I can empathize and feel your pain in your words and see it in your face. Big hugs. He will always be with you in your heart. I lost both of mine within 4 months of one another this past year and can say that they are sorely missed. Thank God for stitching, it gives comfort in it's rhythmic movements and in the end the joy/ satisfaction in the accomplishment when it is done. I loved your WIP parade. You always pick such interesting projects. I think I can finally pick up the kitten and the rose in Leo's honor. I could never have a bunch of flowers with roses in them without him sitting and sniffing them. It is a perfect piece in his memory. I looked up the principle of clemency in the US to understand it better. Be well, you are a strong powerful and capable woman, much admired by many . Whatever that bad news i hope it doesn't taint your New Year. Love and hugs and a better New Year full of wishes for peace and lots of stitching time are coming their way to you.🎉
Thanks Julie. I know it took me awhile to pick up the memorial piece that I made for my greyhound that I lost in 2014. I can't imagine losing 2 pets within months of each other. I'm hoping my horse and parrot stick around for years to come because their passing will hit me very hard. Trying not to let the clemency news ruin my new year. Happy stitching.

I was really worried about your puppy after your last video and was concerned that this would be the outcome. I’m so sorry as they are our babies as well. I’m also sorry you’ve got some bad news hanging over you as I know you’ve gone through it the past few years. I know you are one strong AF momma and you won’t back down and we’re all here in the stitchy world rooting for you and many of us are going through stuff as well and find strength in the community!
