Hey Josh, I've been a viewer for quite some time now and I would like to ask you something. What is the creepiest thing in your opinion that you have found while exploring abandoned buildings?
I have a fear of abandoned buildings but they really intereste me so thank you and the others for doing these videos In a way that we learn about the building and still keeping it interesting for the people who don't want to go near a abandoned building.

Hi Josh. My name is Jessica and I provide habilitation and behavior analysis for people with special needs. I go to clients homes and help teach life skills, personal management and respite care for families of people with special needs. I just wanted to add to your explaination of why mental institutions and TB hospitals began closing in the decades before the year 2000. Althuogh there were great advances in treatments and medications for patients, it was the exposure of the depraved living conditions which made the doors close for good. Over the years, there were a number of shocking documentaries which showed the under staffed, over crowded condition of patients being treated like livestock. Some films show not just abuse, but also illegal human medical experimentation. It should be noted that in many cases, well meaning doctors and nurses were unable to provide proper care because they were often overwhelmed by the lack of funding and severe overcrowding. While institutions were useful in their day, by the end of last century, they had out lived their usefulness.
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but they believed sunlight was a big part of the treatment for Tuberculosis, hence the location and amount of Windows. That room you suspected to be a classroom, would more than likely have been lined with beds facing the windows for uv therapy.

I don't think urbex is a dying hobby man, it's true these buildings get demolished but if u think about it more n more buildings become abandoned as time goes on
