For anyone that might be wondering, the Spanish at 12:23 says:
    Fire
You are a friend and executioner
You are a thief and a scourge
You are a sun and death
You are a star and a crater
    Fire
For being the elder brother of man
    Make company on the path
Towards his happiness and progress eternal

As awesome as that sounds, it would probably cost more to fix it than it would be to tear it down and model the new building like the old. Seeing how superstitious Mexicans seem to be, I can’t see them doing that.

I have to share one of my own stories after watching this since it reminded me of it; my mom, before I was born, used to visit a fortune teller who one day, in the voice of a child, told her to bring them candy. On her next visit, she did as asked and when the fortune teller asked why, my mom explained she asked for it and the fortune teller told her that she shouldn't because the spirit of a little boy was the on asking for it and he'd follow her if she did. After that, my mom had to start hiding candy because it started disappearing, thinking my brother was taking it only to come to find out he didn't even know where the candy was. Sometime after that, she had to leave him, my cousin and a friend alone in their apartment to go grocery shopping with my aunt; they came back to find my brother(and company, I believe) hysterical, talking about seeing a little boy crawling in the hallway. It got to the point(when I had been a toddler, I believe) that she couldn't handle it anymore. My mom was getting me ready to go out when I started waving to someone behind her; when she'd turn to see, there was no one there and she thought it was my dad playing around with me. So finally, she asked 'who do you keep waving to? Is it your dad?" I told her 'No, it's the little boy!'. She had asked him to finally leave our house and leave her children alone because she was afraid of what he can do. For years, she thought his name was "Chichimeca" because that's what the fortune teller told her, but that's the name of a nomadic tribe of Indians who resided within Northern Mexico. I just thought it was interesting and that I'd share it with you.

No matter where you are, wherever you look in every angle, the view of the place is amazing, I love the details of the buildings, clearly shows how the much the architect paid attention to each corner of this place. I totally agree!! That room, and also throughout the hotel, is FULL of freemason symbolism. Black and white checkered floors, owls in the worship room, all of the astrological symbols, the eye in the center of the sunburst on the floor and so on. I think that is a huge part of why so much is still maintained and esp the "sanctuary" and around it yet the rest of the building seems unimportant to them, so not maintained. The heavy policing of it plus the incredible care taken in that specific spot leads me to think it IS still heavily used by the occult Freemasons. Very creepy.

At 12:58 I can read MOST of it. (starting from very top) I'm pretty sure it says:
Decreed Constitution for the liberty of Mexican America. (Something in something) the date is The 22nd of October, 1814.
The America is free and independent of Spain and of other nation (some word and what I think is Monarchy and another name idk) nation have the something for to prevent other the use free of his/her something. The title of conquest can not legitimize the acts of the force, the town that tries it must be obliged by the weapons to respect the law of the nations. The faculty of dictating laws and establish the shape of something. What is more convenient to the interests of the society it constitutes the something. This is by nature something something indivisible. The something of something immediately of the town that deposited in their representatives must be divided for their exercise the three branches, Executive, Legislative and Judaical. That as a consequence to be free, all the America, should not have slaves and thus must the attendants of province and others magistrates to ensure because put on in liberty, how many slaves have left and what something in ahead and sell them neither person may do is purchase something do to the provinces and judges not enslave to the sons of the towns with services personal, they should only to the nation and something and not to the individual as much as it remains abolished the something of qualities of Indian something or something etc...and alone it distinguishes the regional, naming them to all general Americans, with whose epithet, we distinguish ourselves on France or plus good of the European, of the African and of the Asian what occupies the other parts of the world, that the natives of the towns are owners of their land. Racquel Flores most building from the viceroyalty (when Spain governed mexico=virreinato) are so amazingly perfectly built that I think most if not all of them are intact even for the harder earthquakes and we are talking about the 18 century buildings that are still in use in Mexico City, the “modern” ones which are the 20th century and forward are the ones that get commonly damaged. With that being said because of the stone used in this place it was most likely built in inspiration of those buildings although it was built in the 20th century.

This will sound crazy but i dreamed about you coming to CDMX that creepiness apart if you are going to travel to other states in Ixtapa you can found another house from the same dude Durazo (he is one of the bloodiest characters in moderns mexica history) its called the Partenon of Durazo since it represents corruption and its too tacky its been abandoned for years; if you are staying in CDMX there are TONS of abandonded buildings, cinemas, houses, etc... specilly in Downtown most of them are gorgeous and became abandoned after rent was drop super cheap + a huge earthquake that made them to cheap to be repared, some have been restored by Slim or other companies but many are still there, just be really careful with the structures and the homeless and in general protect you belongings, CDMX is an amazing place but such a huge populated city can be dangerous too, Dalí said that he wouldnt come back to CDMX bacause he doesnt like places thet were more surreal than his painting but i thinks thats what makes it amazing. Try as many food as you can, have fun, ask for help if needed and be safe. (i think the writing of the wall on the mural is the Apatzingan Constitution) Good Luck and greetings from Querétaro.
