For anyone that might be wondering, the Spanish at 12:23 says:
Fire
You are a friend and executioner
You are a thief and a scourge
You are a sun and death
You are a star and a crater
Fire
For being the elder brother of man
Make company on the path
Towards his happiness and progress eternal

This was one of my favorites so far
True I won't see it...not until the wall gets build but it's a 50/50 chance
wow
I won't see it until I forget that there's a ghost there
you mean unless we went to mexico, and bribed a cop... because judging by that pile of candy it has been done alot....
Most of you won't understand at the beginning where the the Lady spoke in the background but she said "It's a CZcamsr, it's his job.!
Aylin Villarreal I Heard That
me too
kind of
Aylin Villarreal heard it
Aylin Villarreal fffcffl
They should fix it up. It would be amazing to see it running again. It’s so sad to see it abandoned. It’s beautiful
Average Misfit oh yes indeed they should, I would go to that hotel if they did
Nature is slowly taking its revenge. Leave it be.
Revenge from what human beings created. And all the moss and leaves is what turns into this place into an
ACTUAL piece of art.
Ikr
As awesome as that sounds, it would probably cost more to fix it than it would be to tear it down and model the new building like the old. Seeing how superstitious Mexicans seem to be, I can’t see them doing that.
I have to share one of my own stories after watching this since it reminded me of it; my mom, before I was born, used to visit a fortune teller who one day, in the voice of a child, told her to bring them candy. On her next visit, she did as asked and when the fortune teller asked why, my mom explained she asked for it and the fortune teller told her that she shouldn't because the spirit of a little boy was the on asking for it and he'd follow her if she did. After that, my mom had to start hiding candy because it started disappearing, thinking my brother was taking it only to come to find out he didn't even know where the candy was. Sometime after that, she had to leave him, my cousin and a friend alone in their apartment to go grocery shopping with my aunt; they came back to find my brother(and company, I believe) hysterical, talking about seeing a little boy crawling in the hallway. It got to the point(when I had been a toddler, I believe) that she couldn't handle it anymore. My mom was getting me ready to go out when I started waving to someone behind her; when she'd turn to see, there was no one there and she thought it was my dad playing around with me. So finally, she asked 'who do you keep waving to? Is it your dad?" I told her 'No, it's the little boy!'. She had asked him to finally leave our house and leave her children alone because she was afraid of what he can do. For years, she thought his name was "Chichimeca" because that's what the fortune teller told her, but that's the name of a nomadic tribe of Indians who resided within Northern Mexico. I just thought it was interesting and that I'd share it with you.
Wow have u ‘seen’ him since
You should turn this story in to Let’s Read so he can narrate it for you.
Such a cool story bless your mum for bringing him the candy so cute :) xxxx shame she had to ask him to leave though he only stole abit of candy and showed up to say hi here and there......but spose id be abit scared for my children if I was her to though so a bit of a sad story :( xxxxx

Josh: ABANDONED HOTEL GIRL DIED ( Posada del Sol )
Me: Abandoned, hotel girl died?
Abandoned hotel, girl died?
Abandoned hotel girl, died?
Abandoned hotel girl died?
Me: What
Living for this comment.
i think its abandoned, hotel girl, died
it's always like this with his titles 😅 it would probably be "abandoned hotel (girl died)" or "abandoned hotel-girl died"
They should fix the rooms for homeless people and let those people do jobs to help keep it up.
That would be great if there truly are over 600 rooms that would greatly reduce the amount of homeless people. Especially if they did it with abandoned buildings in America Canada and other countries too. It might mean an end to homelessness.
What? No. Leave historic sights as historic
"Most best, abandonedest-looking hotel" 😂😂😂😂
Shaelyn J. When you get so excited you forget how to speak. Lol
Shaelyn J. Ya
Shaelyn J. Why is your picture like a burger eating it’s self
that's what i was thinking lol it was very cute.
Why would you admit on camera to bribing a cop 😂😂😂😂
I've had tons of people tell em your expected to bribe cops in Mexico, so it's technically not a bad thing to admit too while in mexico
+American AI Sadly but is true. I'm Mexican and it's a bullshit.
american al lol i would love to see you trying to bribe a cop just to see how they kick your fat ass and put you in jail for the rest of your life 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
oliver tate liddell what did I do to you?
Al Clark i'm talking to american al, not you bro
i gotta say that I love the architecture. No matter where you are, wherever you look in every angle, the view of the place is amazing, I love the details of the buildings, clearly shows how the much the architect paid attention to each corner of this place. Too bad that it only opened for 8 months, glad that the people there at least try to maintain the place. Its stunning.
Ms Peach omg I thought the same thing! it's like a literal genius designed this place! looks out of this world
At 13:00 the writing is written in Spanish and what it’s saying is that it’s talking about that there should be no slaves and ppl should have their civil rights
I tried bribing a cop to get in a abandoned hospital....I got arrested

Lubii Lubna nope
meh
The religious room is so well kept, perhaps its still being used for something...
Guys I found a licence plate that he didn't blur out here it is( L 46-AHE )
But just without the brackets to be clear
chopsticks agreee
I totally agree!! That room, and also throughout the hotel, is FULL of freemason symbolism. Black and white checkered floors, owls in the worship room, all of the astrological symbols, the eye in the center of the sunburst on the floor and so on. I think that is a huge part of why so much is still maintained and esp the "sanctuary" and around it yet the rest of the building seems unimportant to them, so not maintained. The heavy policing of it plus the incredible care taken in that specific spot leads me to think it IS still heavily used by the occult Freemasons. Very creepy.
Like?
México is quite a religious country. The people that work there probably pray every Sunday. Not rituals or anything like that 😂
7:40 those are zodiac symbols; libra, scorpio, sagitarius, capricorn.
what up spoungbob,
Sarah Knight
Yus. Finally someone notices.
I'm a Scorpio btw.
Sarah Knight I noticed too, and was a little upset josh or anyone else didnt say anything, I'm a Scorpio!
I noticed too. The reason of the symbols there is because is a Masonic temple. The five pointed star with the circle in the middle on the floor, the greek and egyptian references, the zodiac, the owls and the star on the door.
Posada del Sol is a jewel on masonic architecture.
Sarah Knight,
*Casually scrolling through the comments & sees a comment about The Zodiac Signs and just knows they have to comment on the comment.*
BTW WHERE'S MY LIBRA FAM AT!?!? 💗♎😂
That poor little girl was so cute r.I.p 🍬🍫
The girl is so cute I fell bad for her
(edit 3 yrs later)
Oops I meant to say feel*
What an awesome place. For 1880's that is quite a luxurious hotel. It's like it's own mini town in 1 hotel.
Rurouni Kenshin it's like a mini kingdom inside
Rurouni Kenshin I live in Mexico and there are a lot of similar abandoned buildings but almost every one is used as a hotel, we call them "haciendas", but this one is one of the best I have seen
12:53 that wall talks about the Mexican independence from Spain, just saying because you said that you wished to know what it said.
+Xochitl Vieyra thank you!!
and also saying how no nation has the right to limit another nation from its liberty. and that a government should be created according to whatever is best for society
Xochitl Vieyra yes 👍 :-D
Thank you!
The ghost of the girl comes out of no where
Girl: sooo.... do you like my place
Josh: yes I love it
Girl: thank you
Who else watches this stuff because we don't have the guts to do it
Madison Beatson i have the guts there's just no abandoned places where i live lmao
I have the guts, but not the money!!
@@arassnibbor5327 same!!
Yes and yes I do not have the guts to do it but if it’s my school I will do it
I have the guts but not the $$$
"How do you find the perfect gift for your friend?" Me: "give them nothing"
"I am your friend, I am the gift"
That's really funny.
Lmao Anais give them candy too soon? friend: no too late...
Que gusto estés aquí en México. En Querétaro se encuentra la casa Mijangos. no se si te atrevas a entrar, saludos
and why is everyone making fun of his grammar? it's annoying, considering Josh seems so flipping nice. sup what if he doesn't speak correctly, he shows us places that most of us don't have the balls to go to in person. so suck it up and leave him alone.
edit: *so what, not sup
8:38 There are flowers.. in a Coke bottle..

spooky? indeed.
youtube? yep.
bribing? duh.
hotel? trivago.
At 12:58 I can read MOST of it. (starting from very top) I'm pretty sure it says:
Decreed Constitution for the liberty of Mexican America. (Something in something) the date is The 22nd of October, 1814.
The America is free and independent of Spain and of other nation (some word and what I think is Monarchy and another name idk) nation have the something for to prevent other the use free of his/her something. The title of conquest can not legitimize the acts of the force, the town that tries it must be obliged by the weapons to respect the law of the nations. The faculty of dictating laws and establish the shape of something. What is more convenient to the interests of the society it constitutes the something. This is by nature something something indivisible. Heyy Josh I have a very good recommend abandoned and haunted place that is located in hamner Springs new Zealand it's called Queen Mary hospital it was built in 1824 and closed in 1901 it was a mental hospital and over 1000 patients died i would love you to see it because it has so much history behind it 😊
XxMint GreenxX Aye I'm from NZ🙌

Have you ever been to the UK or would you come here to explore some time soon?! We have tons of old Victorian style creepy buildings over in England that no one ever comes to!!
Omg so true they should come here and explore
megan francesca Correct me if I'm wrong but is Borley Rectory (or whatever it is) still standing?
As far as I know it was demolished a long time ago! It has an interesting story though. :)
Such beautiful old buildings, wish they could've been restored. :(
megan francesca go to UK for English girls
This place is structurally, architecturally and artistically just amazing. Beyond words. You guys should check out the cemetary in Buenos Aires called Recoleta cemetary. It's amazing too. Good luck on your travels and be safe.
No one's gonna talk about that statue in the corner? That was kinda creepy, but hella dope. What a gorgeous place overall. I wish if they'd get it up and running!
2:42
-Sorry,we are filming a video here

ThePablaMan OMG IM DEAD HHAHAHHAHAHAH

Consuela In real life lmao
Hhahahaha oh i so died 34 times
.
I read everything on that wall lol. It is declaring Independence from any monarchy.
The name of the mural : Constitucion de Apatzingan de 1814.
Those balancing things are called scales (7 min mark), they represent the Libra zodiac. If you look closely at the roof again you will see the scorpion which represents Scorpio. The other 10 signs are there also. Looks like the paintings represent something also perhaps biblical or mythological stories but hard to tell without being close up. Very awesome video!
Those "balancing things" and the rest of them are horoscopes symbols
I wonder what will happen if you steal her candy
Yeah, I wanna eat all of those
Kim Jong Un then you try it and send me a video of you stealing it.....
Destiny Hemmings the girl find u and get it back
Jesus of Nazareth is King
you'll probably get haunted

That same thing happens to me. I will see things and then I will think that have seen it before because I saw it in my dream
past lifes
World of AMV this must mean something
its scarry about the girl story soooo.... #prayforthelittlegirl
I hope this amazing place survived the recent earthquakes.
Racquel Flores most building from the viceroyalty (when Spain governed mexico=virreinato) are so amazingly perfectly built that I think most if not all of them are intact even for the harder earthquakes and we are talking about the 18 century buildings that are still in use in Mexico City, the “modern” ones which are the 20th century and forward are the ones that get commonly damaged. With that being said because of the stone used in this place it was most likely built in inspiration of those buildings although it was built in the 20th century.
Racquel Flores yup
Racquel Flores [
Racquel Flores yes it did
Catching up on old Josh videos, amazing find, so sad about the child, so tragic
Amazing place. So happy vandals hasn’t destroyed it.
Stealth it was under surveillance
Alana Pennell That doesn't always stop vandals.
Stealth oh ok
Stealth it acually belongs to the mexican goverment and they clean it and "look" after it (though they also took most of the valuables, because corruption) and every one in a while they turn a part of it into offices and maybe because its located in a very dangeorous colonia of Mexico City and at the same time basically surrounded by other goverment institutions; sorry for bad english!
You have amazing english, You make sense be confident :-)
great to see you travelling the world exploring these unseen places. SO INSPIRING TO ANOTHER URBAN EXPLORER LIKE ME OOOOO
Kez
Owen
Kez definitely
Abandoned Exploration_Urbex1979
_NISHAUN_
beautiful modernist building! bits of it reminds me of Gaudi in Barcelona, thanks for sharing x
10:20 love the camera panning from the floor to the arch way showing the sunlight coming through the balcony
This will sound crazy but i dreamed about you coming to CDMX that creepiness apart if you are going to travel to other states in Ixtapa you can found another house from the same dude Durazo (he is one of the bloodiest characters in moderns mexica history) its called the Partenon of Durazo since it represents corruption and its too tacky its been abandoned for years; if you are staying in CDMX there are TONS of abandonded buildings, cinemas, houses, etc... specilly in Downtown most of them are gorgeous and became abandoned after rent was drop super cheap + a huge earthquake that made them to cheap to be repared, some have been restored by Slim or other companies but many are still there, just be really careful with the structures and the homeless and in general protect you belongings, CDMX is an amazing place but such a huge populated city can be dangerous too, Dalí said that he wouldnt come back to CDMX bacause he doesnt like places thet were more surreal than his painting but i thinks thats what makes it amazing. Try as many food as you can, have fun, ask for help if needed and be safe. (i think the writing of the wall on the mural is the Apatzingan Constitution) Good Luck and greetings from Querétaro.
sorry for bad english!!!
Galia de la Rosa eyyyy yo soy de Hidalgo!!💞

Galia de la Rosa I went to ixtapa & zihuatanejo in February ! YASSSS GIRL!

Tinniee Castro His brave but doesn't know what a sunflower is
The doll island is not even scary. I went there and didn't like it.
ivan corona why are you lying?
Jurgita B why would I be lying dumbass? I'm from Mexico City and lived there for 12 years also I visit every year. Every Mexican knows about this doll island. You sound stupid
ivan corona Dude chill out!
I'm pretty sure that's a Catholic Church that they were in that's a temple . There's a Virgin Mary . Beautiful place
Christina S no Catholic Churches look more more like castles I am Catholic
oh and they don't have paintings at all
Carole Hurley then what religion does the virgin mary belong to?
any real Christian Church is never designed in a circle, that is a sacrilegious type symbology. Catholic churches are built in the shape of a cross
Renegade513 in the case of a church or cathedral yes but some private chapels are circular in shape. Including that in the palace of versailles and the french Kings were veryyyy catholic
Wow just found your channel and saw your Centralia video. I love what you do! Cool angles while filming with the music. You're awesome!
Anyone else see that Coca-Cola bottle with the flowers in?? Edit: Why did I point that out? 😂😂
Here in Mexico, it´s pretty common to recycle used bottles to make pots with them.
You should go to Guanajuato and visit the mummies
Maria munoz i
Maria munoz YESS!

💯 my fave explorer! Keep up the amazing work Josh! Come to Canada!! Tons of abandoned places here
It's so sad to see such a gorgeous place unused and unknown. It makes me wanna fix it and reopen it.
Hey does anyone know if that giant head is a genuine relic? The history behind the Olmec culture that made those things is shrouded in mystery. I'd encourage any history lover out there to do a little research on the Olmec Heads. How they built them, who, and when is basically unknown.
Josh I'm loving the channel bro, your narration is absolutely classic! Your a real pro finding/exploring these crazy places, and I'm sure it will get even better as you network and make contacts all over the world.
Geoff Byrns A very interesting culture but no that head was a replica
Geoff Byrns no it's a fake one olmec heads are only in museums and are super valuable here in Mexico.
I wanna know how much he gave the cop so bad. lol.
7 USD
StephenAndrew777 7 dollares which is about 130-140 pesos, pretty good tip
play station Realy gonna correct some one who lives in México? 1 dollar = 20 pesos

I can't thank you enough for taking me to these amazing places I would otherwise never see.
it is actually kinda sad that such a beautiful hotel has such a sad history 😢
Oh men, im from Mexico and i dont even know that we've got a place like that... que alguien me diga donde esta ubicada ese edificio! can you tell me where's that building at?
+Alan Carmona haha we find everything.
Posada del Sol

Muchas gracias Abiadi, saludos!
Alan Carmona he should have stolen some of that candy!! thats a shitload of candy, that dead bitch doesnt need all of that.
Seriously?? Necesitas tener respeto por los muertos ... idiota!!
Lol someone left her HALLS cough drops 4:54... man i hear those ghost colds are killer.
I’ve been binge watching your videos! Such a fan
Other people were tortured and killed there. Why should the girl be the only one who matters enough to have a shrine?
Tim Slee Because she was a pure soul. And probably the only child who died there
cinderellacomplex7 Define the vague term "pure soul" if you so kindly will.
Tim Slee innocent people
Tim Slee ur mom
She was a child so was probably void of sin except the original. And it could be because she was the only person who died that spawned myths and speculation.
Wow that place is very beautiful. Thank you for filming and sharing it with us.
Im always down for some old stained glass work. It’s so pretty. Especially after it has been abandoned like this! I love it!
Josh that was beautiful! Your so lucky to see these places in person
Abandoned in the 1800s and there's still a consuella sweeping the floors and putting doggies
outside 2:46
It wasn't abandoned in the 1800's , it was abandoned in the middle of the 1900's .
Jacob Stutz V. V
You should come to Madero, Tamaulipas, Mexico. There's a hospital right next to the Miramar beach where there's a legend about "la planchada" it's pretty scary
this is incredible
Josh your blogs are about the very best on CZcams - thank you for bringing all your fantastic videos to us. THANK YOU
At 12:55 that is a constitution of liberty of the Mexican American October 22nd 1814,
here's a link for the constitution... inside.sfuhs.org/dept/history/Mexicoreader/Chapter5/Mexican%20Constitutions.pdf
2 minutes in and this is already my favorite video from your channel besides the Chernobyl series.
The building also looks like something out of Assasins Creed it's awesome.
Just as i commented that, Josh says like it was as if he was in Assasins Creed XD
Blake Bellamy ASSASIN CREEEDDD BOIIIII YASAAASSSS *fangirl overload* AHHHHHAHAAHAHHAAHAHAJAAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAJJSIEJEHDDBEJEIDKSB
Josh: These must be boards to keep the place from collapsing
Also Josh: (Casually walks away, no questions asked)
Josh in any country: ‘dude i cant even read that’
Thanks for providing a video everyone can watch. No cussing and swearing. But you really should learn spanish, lol.
2bczar4u he said he wanted to jizz his pants
2bczar4u he swears all the time
Maybe that's a new detergent, "Jizz!", and his pants needed washing. ; )
You need to go to Pennhurst asylum in Pennsylvania
YES. PLEASE. Its in Spring City, PA
WoW 🤩 frigging love these they’re definitely you’d best vids ♥️
Can’t believe I’ve not seen this until now lol
At 2:27 why is there a hotel maid if the hotel is abandoned?????
Tionna & Tierra Cooking they try and maintain it. No one owns it and it’s not in use. It’s in the middle of a busy city
Tionna Raftin drug lords?
When they were in the church and the symbol in the middle was a star, and the devil worshiper symbol is a star just like the one in the church with a circle around it and the design of the church was circular so the entire bottom design was a devil worshiper symbol.. leave a like on this comment if you understand what I'm saying
Im Christian i understand but dont agree lol
that star is christian, the satanic pentagram is turned upside down pointing down.
Jonas Andersson you can look at it from a different angle.
The pentagram is also on captain America and also represents the orbit of Venus the symbol itself is not devil worship it's neutral
The pentacle doesn't represent devil worship, dumbass. It's a pagan symbol. If you knew anything, you'd know that paganism branches off from Christianity. Catholicism is a Christian religion. In a nutshell, the pentacles shown in the video do not represent devil worship and are in fact a sign of beauty and represent the old days of early Christianity.
This hotel should be returned to it's former glory. It's a monument to Mexican history.
Marcus Divine theres a lot of places like that one in México, so yeah its really not as important as it seems. im from México.
Josh I love your channel so glad I found it so interesting !
The little girl was BEAUTIFUL!!
you shouldve gone to the basement | to *explore* not just go to the shrine.
MunchKpunch They did, at the start of the video. They visited a little girl's shrine and made an offering of chocolate.
QPRdazza no I mean they shoudve explored the basement
MunchKpunch he did
MunchKpunch he did
MunchKpunch they did
Just imagine that place at it's prime, what I would give to see it before it started deteriorate
Such a beautiful place the architect is simply awesome and the love the tile on the floors. Those pillars are creative and those chess pieces are something else. I like this find and glad you gave us the tour. Keep bringing things like this for us to see. That ceiling is fantastically wonderful.
Exploring With Josh, those scales were for Libra, the astrological sign
